The Sundancer: A Gateway to Adventure and Romance

For our family of 4 this was the ideal location; scenic view was unbeatable;close to expansive linking hiking trails;fun short jaunts to secluded beaches;not far from main sites and famous attractions and beaches. Each venture out was an adventure which was exactly why we chose St. John.
Each night back at Sundancer in the hot tub with the sound system playing outside was a perfect way to relax and re-energize. Driving around the island is an adventure in itself if not for the hairpin turns, the mountainous terrain with some unpaved areas, or the occasional stops to avoid grazing or road crossing cows, goats, donkeys, large crabs iguanas, deer, and an egret.
This place is great for those seeking almost anything. It is virtually isolated by surrounding woods to provide total privacy for intimate romantic moments. Anybody that can get here would find this villa a good fit.The sightseeing is unsurpassed, the linking hiking trails that have an entry point within walking distance just up the hill from the Sundancer offer a fabulous chance to view the botanical and animal life as well as historic ruins, a waterfall, petroglyphs, and a very secluded beach. On top of this, the Sundancer is within 10-15 minutes from Cruz Bay and its restaurants, half and full day boat excursions, sails, and shopping. St.John is a small island, so getting to the north side of the island is only about a 20 minute trip, and getting to the far side of the island and Coral Bay, Salt Pond Bay, and Drunk Bay takes less than 45 minutes. Rent a jeep and have a ball exploring. The snorkeling is fantastic, and the snorkel trail at Trunk Bay is worthwhile, but you will search out better snorkel areas on and offshore.
Every meal that we ate out was at a different place, and they were all delightfully delicious, and each eatery had its own niche characteristic. You owe it to yourself to dine with the Skinny Legs folks, Woody's crew, and a treat of a Smoothie at Columbo's roadside spot. Each will force you to smile as you leave; you won't be able to help yourself.
Sailing with Cpt. Jason on the Cloud 9 was great! Whether you want to scuba, snorkel, sail aimlessly or to a destination, just tell Cpt. Jason, and your wish becomes his command, and Cpt.Jason magically takes you to exactly the right spots to fullfill your desire. Other boats dictate where you go, but you decide on the Cloud 9.
Sundancer has everything you need except food and trash removal. Alas,we had to leave for home.I'll be back!

We enjoyed our Easter vacation at Sundancer. The views, location and privacy were perfect for our family of four. The house is a great base for traveling to all parts of the island. The pool and hot tub was a nice break from the sand and surf of the beaches on St. John’s. There are colorful flowers that surround the property and watching the birds every day was an added treat. Our daughters loved the loft!

The Sundancer is a very private home with wonderful views! You can see homes off in the distance but none are very close. We spent lots of time in the pool and the hot tub and never saw anyone...just a few lizards & deer. We enjoyed having speakers outside for the sound system. Looking out to the Caribbean Sea from the pool & the hot tub was amazing!! There were many days where we stayed at the home all day. Very relaxing vacation. Beautiful home! Thank you!

We could have not been happier with Sundancer. We stayed there, May 1st, 2008, through May 11th, 2008. It was the best vacation we have ever had, as a couple.

Sundancer's pristine location, and incredible views of Fish Bay, left us with a lifetime of memories. Sundancer is a wonderful home, extremely well equipped for any and all needs. We just loved the deck, with it's umbrella's, hot tub, and pool, which we used equally, both day and night. We enjoyed our breakfeasts, and dinner's on the deck, being serenaded by the "thrushie" birds who became quite tame, the bananaquits, and hummingbirds, as well as the ubiquitous gekko's, and iguanas.
Sundancer was simply perfect for our vacation, and is extremely well managed, by Cimmaron, who were there for us, at every, and any beckoned call.

We cannot ever begin to thank Carol Ann, and Bob, for sharing this wonderful, peaceful, retreat with us.
Sundancer's private location, combined with it's views, and amenities afforded us the PERFECT vacation.
This one is a can't miss !

Thank you, Bob and Carol Ann, we'd love to come back !

Sincerely,
Tom and Cindy Ford

This is my first visit to the Sundancer; we loved the Sundancer location (get a jeep), very private with a great view overlooking Fish Bay. We truly enjoyed the pool, the hot tub and the great stereo system that even has an iPod connection. A great place to spend a vacation. I would highly recommend the Sundancer Villa & St John.

We stayed at Sundancer Villa to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. There were so many villa's to choose from and we decided on Sundancer. We were so glad we did. We loved the secluded, private location of the villa. The views of Fish Bay were awesome. We loved sitting on the patio each morning watching the birds visit the feeders and listening to the sounds of the ocean below. After a long day of hiking or snorkeling we loved retreating back to the home to enjoy the pool and hot tub. Sitting in the hot tub at night gazing at the amazing amount of stars was a true delight. We really enjoyed our stay at Sundancer and hope to visit again.

Mike & I had a wonderful stay at the Sundancer Villa in St. John. We started our day off each morning with coffee on the deck watching the hummingbirds feed at the feeder and enjoying the beautiful view. The Villa was completely stocked with everything we needed for our week long vacation (except food of course). From our needs in the kitchen and bath to our days at the beach. When we returned each day from a different beach we enjoyed the pool & hot tub while listening to some great music and again enjoying a beautiful evening view from the Villa. We are basking in our memories of our time spent at the Sundancer Villa and looking forward to our return.

We spent a week at Sundancer June 16 to 22. The house was lovely, the view exceptional. We especially enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. The hammock was very much utilized by Bill who monopolized it. We highly recommend Sundancer.

We stayed at Sundancer on St. John in June. Sundancer was everything we were looking for. Cozy, quiet, and private. The owners thought of everything. We felt quite at home. The roads up to sundancer are quite rough, and narrow, which may scare some city folk, but we rented a jeep, and had a ball.Just don't drink too many rum runners, and try to drive back up the mountain.
Owner's Response: Ahh, our roads are part of the adventure! Glad you enjoyed Sundancer. Be glad you didn't visit before the roads were mostly paved! Bob
