Fantastic spot to spend a week

Frequent Duluth Visitor Des Moines, IA
Review Submitted: October 20, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
We spent a delighful week at this vacation rental. The views were the best we've experienced in Duluth -- and we've stayed lots of places. The home had a good mix of modern conveniences (flat screen TVs; well-equiped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher and convection oven; European-style bathroom fixtures) and homey/antique touches (comfortable leather couch and love seat; wicker chairs at the upstairs window overlooking the lake; nice decor). The weather for our mid-October week was unseasonably cold and wet, so we didn't get to enjoy the outside balcony, but will look forward to that on another vist.

Perfect!

We stayed here for a family reunion. This is a rare example where reality exceeds the description--this house is perfect in every way. The attention to detail, from the furnishings, to the linens, to the decor make this a magical place. Our relatives who were staying in hotels were bowled over when we brought them to sit on the deck and view the harbor at sunset--postcard perfect. The house is sparkling clean, sunny, cozy, and it's going to be very hard to go home and face our bathroom after showering under the amazing multihead unit in the master bath. At our next family reunion there is going to be fierce competition over who is going to reserve this place first!
P.s. Wifi, hi-def t.v., new and top-end appliances in the kitchen; washer and dryer. No AC, but we stayed during 90+ heat wave and house was quite comfortable due to cross ventiliation--didn't turn on fans.

We really enjoyed our visit. The house was a perfect spot for our Gramdma's marathon weekend. Dealing with the owner was great and everything was as promised.

We stayed at the property over Valentine's weekend and had a wonderful time. The house was perfect and the view was amazing! We have already talked of going back in the summer. If you feel like hiking and enjoying the outdoors I highly recommend driving up to Gooseberry Falls or down to Jay Cooke State Park. Both were beautiful. All and all a great trip and a great home.

Birthday/Dedication Weekend

bmg Grand Rapids, MN USA
Review Submitted: December 3, 2008 Date of Stay: November 2008
Our friends from the Seattle area joined us to celebrate my younger daughter's 22nd birthday, as well as attend the dedication ceremony for my new grandbaby. We are pretty familiar with Duluth since my daughters live there. This place is perfect for 6+ adults, with the second level as a private getaway. We cooked in both nights, enjoying a very modern kitchen with everything we needed. The view from this home is absolutely fantastic!! We would definitely select this rental again!!
