Vacation Cabin

What a wonderful cabin! We really enjoyed our vacation there. We got a chance to see and film a couple of killer whales coming through and the bald eagles woke us up on more than one occasion in the mornings. Couldn't have asked for a finer wake up call!!
This was our first visit to Alaska and we hope to return. Thanks for letting us stay in your sweet cabin!

The best part of our trip to Alaska was staying at the Coho Beach House - what a fabulous house! Watching the tides coming in and out, seeing the cruise ships in the distance, fishing from the "beach", cooking our fresh caught salmon at the house, seeing the eagles - WOW! You really have a very special place and we are so very happy to have been able to stay with you. You really couldn't ask for a better place to stay while in town - Maura, Joe, Dan and Katy are absolutely wonderful people. We're already trying to plan another trip to stay with you again next summer! Thanks so much for all the amazing memories of our trip to Ketchikan, Alaska.

Coho Beach House exceeds expectations.

Kathy and I had the opportunity to stay at this magical place in March of '09. Most places are shown in photos that overstate the nature of the building and the setting. Coho House, as a full image, is much more spectacular in person than can be presented in photography.

The quality of the building, fixtures, decorations and all the emenities are first class. We will definitely repeat a stay at this wonderful piece of Ketchikan. The proprietors, Odell's and Hook's, are there if you need them, but otherwise leave you alone to enjoy your stay.

We have traveled all over the world, and been very fortunate to have stayed at some truly amazing places, but our stay at the Coho Beach House put all the rest to shame. What an amazing place. Well thought out and even prettier than the photos suggest-we truly did not want to return home. Thank you for your gift of salmon, and all the thoughtful extras in the home. When I am needing to conjure up a peaceful place to mentally unwind-it will be your Coho Beach House. Thank you!

Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful beach house with us! The views are just stunning, and we really enjoyed wildlife watching from the windows & spacious decks.
We did see the blond sea lion and the shark it bit into. Thanks for the “heads up” phone call. The shark swam so close to the deck we could see where the sea lion took a chunk out of it. Our very own Discovery Channel just outside the door. Cool!
Watching the bald eagles land in the tree nest to the house was another highlight.

This house is just gorgeous. I stayed in it for several months while I was working in Ketchikan. Everything is brand new and super clean. It has a great open floor plan with spacious living and dining areas, a beautiful kitchen, 2 bedrooms on the second floor and a nice bathroom with a heated floor (a really nice touch). But what really sets this house apart from others is that it is built right over the water! It has a wrap around deck and tons of large windows with spectacular views of the water, mountains and other islands. I saw seals, otters, bald eagles, ect. either from the deck and also from any room in the house. I would highly recommend staying at this property.
