Lovely place to stay

We found this house perfect for our needs - family of 4 (2 teenagers). It was just as described: stylish, clean and 10 minutes from the centre of the city. Good facilities: kids loved the Wii and we loved the great books and dvds.
The owner was very helpful:we tansferred the money before our holiday and were met with the key on arrival. No problems
We ALL would definately recommend this holiday home to our friends (NB it is a 3 storey house with lots of stairs so maybe not our aged parents or friends with toddlers!)
Brugge and the surrounding area was lovely. A treat. We did find though that the exchange rate: pound sterling/euro meant that we found many items 'expensive'.

As a family of five with children aged from 9 to 3 years, the central location of this property was great. It was so close to everything that walking even with little legs was easy and the option of returning for lunch or a rest was great and kept the price down. The house was comfortable and the only thing to be aware of is the steep steps although my children were fine toddlers would have difficulty. Overall this place was central, comfortable and the service was great. I would recommended it highly to everyone.

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending 15 Sept.-15 Oct. in this very comfortable house. Located on a quiet street less than two blocks from the Astrippark it is convenient to the fish market and to the main square. Moreover, bakeries and other shops are nearby. We walked the entire city over the month. We thought that the house was very well appointed, clean and inviting. If we were to visit Brugge again we would definitely want to stay here. Eric also proved to be very helpful in every way. Great value for the money!

Ideal place for a family or business people in a quiet house close to the town centre, simple and comfortable enough to get rest after work or sightseeing. Great location!

We stayed at this fantastic house for the 3rd time in November 2008 and we absolutely love it. The best thing by far about the house is the location. You are literally 3 minutes walk from the centre and the house is in a nice quiet street away from the main roads. There are some great shops - local butchers, bakers and grocers - just 2 minutes away (across The Astrid Park). The canal boats are 3 minutes walk away and the nearest pub is less then that. I honestly don't think you will find anything cheaper than this in such a good location. The house is divided over 3 floors, with the sitting room/kitchen on the ground floor, 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor and a further bedroom on the 2nd floor. It comfortably sleeps 6. The property is always clean and the kitchen and bathroom are adequately equipped to get you ready for the day. Eric is always there to meet and greet you and gets your holiday started with a nice box of Belgian Chocolates!! I have recommended this property to all of my friends and family and we will continue to go back there every year i think (once you go to Brugge you will understand why). The place is beautiful - cobbled streets, really nice traditional pubs, chocolate shops everywhere (our favourite is Van'Oost on Wallestraat i think), canals, the cathedral...the list is endless. I would recommend a restaurant just off the main square called the Hu'zar - it does fantastic local dishes (the lamb stew is superb) and is always packed full of locals. The beer list in Dickies is really good and they do a mean mixed grill cooked by the owner on his BBQ. If you want any tips for Brugge, just let me know.

We were extremely disappointed in our stay at this property. In particular, the bedding and beds were of a completely unacceptable standard. They did not comply with the basis standard of cleanliness which you would expect as a very minimum requirement.

Before we left this property, we cleaned every room and stripped the beds and left the place spotless and tidy. We were astounded to find that a charge for additional cleaning was made and deducted from our deposit monies.

We are regular visitors to Brugge and consider that the price charged for this property did not represent value for money.

We will never return and would not recommend this property to anyone.
Owner's Response: We have to admit we made an error (I made actualy), customer was refunded later.
The remark about the beds and the linnen is not fair . The beds are solid beds, that can be moved easy to make single or kingsize bed. The linnen is always fresh and comes directly from the laundry, so they are undoubltly clean! I put the linnen on the beds, and inspection is done, so there is no doubt! As we always try to improve our services, we try to learn from the remarks. So we installed a secured procedure to avoid the administrative error we made. So at the end the review helped us to improve! Thanks,
Eric
