Peaceful stay near city amenities

onthetable Phoenix, AZ
Review Submitted: October 10, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
The listing was very accurate except that the view of the mountains is better than pictured! The house was very clean and the decor attractive. Personally I loved the wooden floors and the soothing color scheme. I was a bit worried about staying by a park since I've had difficult experiences in urban parks but this park is very well loved and well used by people of all ages. Runners, walkers, babies, etc. Very friendly, quiet neighborhood. There are bike trails to the University (which I did not use) and it's an easy drive to anywhere in Tucson. There is a neighborhood natural foods grocery and a Trader Joe's is not far away. If you like Farmer's Markets, do go to the Sunday Market at St Phillip's Plaza. You can have a good breakfast there and it's a lively scene.
Owner's Response: Thanks so much! I am so happy that you enjoyed your stay! Deborah

Haven from Orientation

Review Submitted: July 2, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
I came from Texas for my son’s Orientation at the University of Arizona. It was great to come back to relax with all the comforts of home at the end of the day. The first night after our flight was extremely restful. The beds are super comfy! There is a panoramic view from the living room sofa of the Catalina Mountains. I found myself leaving the curtains open to maximize the view of the sunset and Madera Park across the street. The home is nicely decorated with a wonderful tiled bathroom. Its location to shopping and the university made it ideal. I would definitely stay again!

Great Experience

This home was perfect for our short stay in Tucson. Location was ideal, everything was clean, and it was just the right size for us. Furniture and beds were very comfortable and all the appliances worked perfectly which made this house the ideal home away from home for us. We're runners, so it was really nice to be next to La Madera park.
View of the mountains out the front window was a great bonus!
Owner's Response: Thank you! It always makes me happy to know that my guests enjoyed this cozy home. Deborah

Great Rental Home for Family

DebbieMN St. Paul, MN
Review Submitted: April 7, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
We stayed here for one week with our three year old daughter. Everything was perfect. Great location, nice neighborhood, cozy house and very comfortable beds (a must on vacation). Deborah has thought of everything to make the home welcoming. The park across the street was also a great thing for our daughter and we loved the view of the mountains. We had most all of our meals in & the kitchen was perfectly equipped. What a treat. We'd definitely stay here again!
Owner's Response: Thank you! It makes me happy to know that you and your family enjoyed the home while you vacationed in Tucson!

My husband and I spent 8 days in this charming, well-appointed home. We especially enjoyed the neighborhood park. People were friendly and we felt like we "belonged." The view of the mountains was a treat each day. The owner has thoughtfully prepared the home to please, from the dishes to the flatware to the comfortable furniture in the living area. There is even an elliptical trainer available. Information about the home, Tucson, and things to do and see were provided. We found it easy to get around the city from this location, but if you just wanted to relax "at home," that was a great experience, too. I particularly liked to sit on the front porch. The owner was very kind and helpful as we settled in. We highly recommend this home.
Owner's Response: Thank you! It was a pleasure for me to share this home with you and your husband! Deborah

Perfect

Darbstar Boston, MA
Review Submitted: March 9, 2009 Date of Stay: February 2009
We were grateful to find this rental, it was perfect for our needs. We flew in from Boston for a friends wedding and for a trip this far, we wanted to turn it into a small vacation/family trip. My Husband and 1yr old daughter occupied one bedroom and my mother (lifesaving babysitter) in the other. I had attended U of A and then some, living in Tucson from 1988-1996. So, being familiar with the area, I thought the location was perfect to show my family around my old stomping grounds and also has a great view of the Catalinas. We LOVED having the park right accross the street to take walks with our daughter and felt it was a very safe neighborhood. The house was very comfortable, clean and had all the ameneties one could need, except a hairdryer, if that's even considered a need. Deborah was always available to us for any questions or needs and had great suggestions for local eating/shopping recommendations. Bottom line, the trip was wonderful, we would reccomend it to anyone and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Owner's Response: I am so happy that you and your family enjoyed this home! Thank you, Deborah

Great base for exploring Tucson

Comfortable, clean, and beautiful house with many special decorative touches and also many details to enhance the comfort and enjoyment of your stay. The attentive owner works hard to make sure that you are comfortable and that all the appliances are working right. A beautiful view of the mountains from the living room and the front porch – especially spectacular in the early morning and evening light. A neighborhood of charming houses and small families makes you feel that you are living in a small town. The house is right across from a quiet, pleasant park. Downtown is easily accessible. There is good walking in the neighborhood. A supermarket and good restaurants are nearby. You can’t go wrong if you stay at this house.
Owner's Response: Thank you!
