The apartment was perfect. Max and Valerie's recommendations for Munich and choices of dishes, for Sottovoce Madera for calamarie appetizer- enough for a complete dinner for two,Cabana las Lilas for steak and better atmosphere than La Cabana in Recoleta that had a cover charge, was more formal and expensive, but the food was just as delicious and service impeccable. MALBA had great modern art and lovely cafe with delicious food. The ferry trip to Uruguay is worth the time and money. The subway on lineA with the ancient rail cars is charming. We recommend the bike tour to LaBoca; it's 2 1/2 hrs for about $20. The office is one block up from the Shell gas station on Colon in San Telmo which happens to be only 8-9 blocks from Casa Rosada by bike, much farther by taxi. The shopping is great and the San Telmo Sunday market not to be missed. There's a wonderful Peruvian restaurant in San Telmo. The botanical garden was a disappointment unless one approaches it as the 'cat park.' Tomo Uno is wasclosed on Sunday when we tried to eat there, but it gets a restaurant rating of 26 out of 30 and is considered one of the best restaurants in BA. We also enjoyed the Eva Peron Museum, the Museum of Decorative Arts and the modern art museum. Visitors should go to the local bookstore and get "Tridimensional Guide of Buenos Aires" where it is cheaper than at the gorgeous old theater, now bookstore, Ateneo Grand Splendid which is worth a visit on Avenida Santa Fe #1860. Max was wonderfully helpful. I am recommending the adjoining apartments, Max and Buenos Aires to everyone I talk to. Thank you for a wonderful visit.
