perfect location for the right price

The location is perfect. The top floor apartment minimizes the street noise, offers spectacular views, and is centrally located to everything. Its in the Palermo section so there are excellent coffee shops, restaurants, and grocery stores all within walking distance. The subway is only a few blocks away so you can jump on and be in the down town section in minutes. You don't have to deal with the high volume of people and traffic but still get all the benefits of the city. The place is just bigger than a hotel room but offers the privacy and security to make it more appealing. The balcony and terrace open up the place so you can have a meal or drink outside. Its simple to just walk up the balcony stairs to get to the terrace. Robert was extremely helpful in offering directions and suggestions.

It was great to have a kitchen and a refrigerator to store the leftovers and some cold brewskis.

I recommend this place for anyone on a budget but wants perfect location, privacy, security, private balcony, access to all the great things that BA has to offer.

Great location, close to shopping in Palermo SoHo and near the green Subte line for easy access around town. The terrace was lovely. However, the apartment was not well-maintained and customer service was poor. The sink leaked and flooded the bathroom floor every day. We used all the towels provided to mop up the mess and when the maid came, she took them and did not leave us more. The owner, upon checkout, even had the nerve to accuse us of dirtying his towels when all we were doing was trying to keep the water from damaging the walls and his hardwood floors! Also, the sheets were stained and torn, not particularly part of the luxury image portrayed. There are so many places to stay in B.A., I would not recommend this one.
Owner's Response: The first negative review was ok. They were fearful of circular stairs, and from New York. Enough said.

However, this one is quite sad. They never called and said that the bathroom sink was flooding.

The glass sink bowel is independent of the glass countertop and screws into the drainpipe. The maid must have turned it far enough the wrong way to unseat the washer, and it would not re-seat when the bowl was turned to tighten it. Of course, I would have sent a plumber immediately. But you have to notify the owner that there is a problem.

The top sheet did have a hole in it. I took it back to the laundry and pointed out that it was not my sheet, as you could tell that the top sheet was much grayer than the bottom sheet. After a long discussion, they admitted that sometimes they combine white things from different owners. (Of course, they charge each of us for a full load.) I have found another laundry. But again, no one called and said that the sheets were unacceptable.
It is an easy thing to fix.

I try to keep the apartment in the best possible condition. If something is less than perfect, please call right away.

Could have been better...

The apt. is pleasantly decorated and full of light in a beautiful location in Palermo with nearby restaurants, The description of the apartment was accurate though the second terrace up a tight spiral staircase isn't really usable. The galley kitchen is quite small; the water pressure in the shower weak. The phone didn't work for the first three days--apparently the bill was not paid in time. There were other problems including a weird repetitive plunger sound that came through the walls morning, noon and night and a sliding door to the balcony which is very hard to open. For our departure day the owner, who we never met, asked us to have the maid come before ten (check out was 11) to clean up for the next guest. When we said this wouldn't work for us, he got huffy. I'd have to say that he didn't provide good customer service.

My wife and I stayed at this penthouse apartment in Buenos Aires in October of 2008. Both the apartment and its location exceeded our expectations, and so did its owner Robert and his real estate agent Nancy.

The location was ideal for us, away from the crowded parts of the city. Yet, a five minute walk to the nearby subway station provided us with easy access to the downtown. And it was great to have a base in the residential area where local people walk their dogs, sit around in the innumerable cafes and restaurants, and shop in their neighborhood grocery and fashion stores.

The apartment itself is bright, nicely furnished and very clean. It has a large balcony with a breathtaking view on the surrounding Palermo, which is an upscale part of the city, and on a charming square below in front of a beautiful catholic cathedral. And, then, there is a spiral staircase leading from the balcony to a private, furnished section of the rooftop!

We would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to spent a nice vacation away from the crowd, at the same time being able to easily get to the center city.

Just returned from 2-plus weeks in Argentina. This apartment worked really well for us. It's small - a little bigger than a hotel room, but in nice weather the balconies are great. Perfect location, convenient yet quiet. All services, from laundry to good cafes, to decent wine stores, nearby. Locals gather in the square every evening, with dogs and kids. Waiters and store clerks waved to us as we passed. Area psycologists introduce themselves at breakfeast, and counsel about bad taxi drivers. Weird, Barton-Fink noises in the walls sometimes, but they didn't stop us from great nights of sleep.

The apartment is wonderful, in a calmk, classy part of town. The view is spectacular, the space is appropriate, and the location is excellent for shopping and transport. I'd be happy to stay there again, any time. The owner/agent is helpful and pleasant.

this apartment is PERFECT. it's convenient to everything, the neighborhood is charming, the studio space is lovely and fully equipped, and the balconies have spectacular views making you want to be there all the time. i spent 2 weeks there last winter and it felt like home. robert, the owner, checked in with holiday tips, and general information about goings on in the city, and made himself available to answer any questions. this apartment made my stay in buenos aires top-notch.

This apartment is lovely. It is located in a convenient, safe, and charming area, and has spectacular views. It was designed meticulously so while it is a studio, it feels much larger, and has everything one could need. My fiance and I stayed there during a week-long visit and couldn't have been happier or more comfortable, and it was far preferable to the hotel we originally would have stayed in (for twice the cost). I absolutely recommend this apartment, and Robert is a terrific host.
