Fantastic location, well placed for the village, wide range of restaurants & supermarkets, good sized accomodation, well equiped property, great pool. Huge selection of books. Loads of places to visit within 1 hours drive. Only negatives - you have to go out of the apartment and a few steps along the road before gaining access to the garden & pool ( if you had toddlers this could be a plus as they wouldn't have direct access to the pool) Also the sockets in the property seemed a little iffy ( a few weren't connected to the wall). All in all would go back to Mijas without a doubt, but not sure if this would be our 1st choice of property. Owners very helpful

Owner's Response: Sorry about the sockets - we're having them fixed. Had they been mentioned to our local manager at the time they would have been fixed on the spot. The garden is only a short step away, but in fact many guests say they prefer our first floor-balconied terrace to poolside accommodation because it is quieter and and has superior views down to the Med. Pleased to see our library mentioned; it grows every year as departing guests add their books for the enjoyment of future visitors. We're grateful for the high rating. David & Liz.

A relaxing Autumn Break

The Kent Visitors Tunbridge Wells
Review Submitted: April 6, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2008
The easy access from Malaga Airport means that the holiday starts as soon as the luggage is collected and the taxi located. These can be booked in advance from Mijas Cars, or just join the fast moving queue outside. Make sure you have the directions and that you know where in Mijas Pueblo you want to go.

The apartment is clean and has everything you need, including a good range of books and games as well as a television with satellite. The pool is clean and has been warm enough to swim in at the end of October. The beautiful gardens are tranquil and well tended all adding to that holiday atmosphere.

If you want to cook there is a good selection of equipment in the kitchen and the shops are only a short walk away or the daily market near the Post Office. For those who want a break from cooking, there are many places to eat out, even in October, all very hospitable. Our favourite is La Gamba, with paella to die for, but there is also a selection of other restaurants nearer at the top of the road. Each one has it sown style

The atmosphere in the village is so relaxing and you don’t need to go far to enjoy traditional Flamenco dancing held each week in the square and sample Malaga wine at the same time. You can stroll up to the Botanical gardens near the Bull ring and have a coffee and cake whilst reading the English Newspaper you have bought on the way, or just enjoy the view down the hillside to the sea. Having done this you can then ample back to the apartment for drinks on the balcony.

Public transport is reliable and not expensive, so a trip to Malaga to see this beautiful City is worth a visit. We have gone on the train, but you can take a coastal bus. The Picasso Museum has a range of different exhibitions and we have easily spent a day there, in between frequenting the restaurant. We keep promising ourselves a visit to The Alhambra, by bus from Malaga, or you can hire a car. After 10 years it is time we just booked in advance to go!

We can’t wait for the airline to let us book for the next trip.

Comfortable flat in ideal location

Review Submitted: April 6, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
This is a very comfortable flat in an ideal location - on a quiet road about 5 minutes walk from the centre of Mijas. We particularly liked the beautiful garden setting and view of the Med from the south facing balcony. Mijas itself is a very pretty little town and a great base from which to explore the area. We hired a car but there is a good public transport infrastructure. The hills above the town are great for walking, especially when we were there in early spring -wild flowers and butterflies everywhere.

Property was in excellent location, within walking distance of supermarkets, restaurants and public transportation. The apartment had all facilities as advertised and the information pack including local maps and restaurant recommendations, was invaluable. Txhe Swimming pool and gardens were well maintained every other day. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quite peaceful holiday.

Lovely place within walking distance of Mijas

Review Submitted: August 27, 2008 Date of Stay: March 2008
Really enjoyed our stay with every kitchen item you could wish for, lovely large lounge with CD, TV and plenty of books and information, also sun beds for the pool. Also nice welcome pack on arrival, so didnt need to worry about food when we arrived. The villa was situated down a quiet road, but easy to walk slightly uphill in 5 minutes to the main street where there were some restaurants and then a further 5-10 minutes to the main square and village of Mijas with plenty of bars, restaurants, shops, donkeys and museums. Didn’t use or need the car during our stay. Kitchen and lounge patio opened out to a large balcony with a view of the pool and garden. Would definitely go again.

Description accurate, good location, amenities; property clean; good customer service; have taken 2 friends; lovely quiet village with good choice of restaurants and marvelous views. Have been 3 times and will go again. Excellent - love the welcoming pack of food and drink essentials. Very relaxing away from newspapers, phones, cars. Lovely pool and gardens. Regular cheap local bus service to the coast, etc, at the top of the road but from the apartment, a bit of a steep incline to walk to the bus stop.

Well Equipped Apartment In Lovely Location.

Don Quixote De La Mancha Newcastle Upon Tyne
Review Submitted: August 10, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
We stayed in the apartment for two weeks in July 2008.

The communication with the owners to arrange the booking, key arrangements before we arrived, contact while we were there and key / deposit return was excellent - easy and uncomplicated.

The apartment was well presented on our arrival. Clean towels and bedlinen which were changed half way through our stay. No air con. but plenty of fans so even on the hotest nights it still felt comfortable. Washing machine was handy - we washed twice during the holiday which means you can travel light and your house doesn't resemble a Chinese laundy when you get home.

Plenty of books to read, games to play and a couple of files containing lots of handy hints, recommendations and tips which were invaluable to help us get the best out of the local restaurants and bars. To my wife's chagrin there is also UK Freeview t.v. so you can keep up to date with the news, Corrie or Big Brother.

The apartment is one of only six and when we were there only ours and one other was in use. The pool is a very good size especially for the only two apartments in use and the water was lovely and warm. The pool area is set in a tropical garden with lovely colourful flowers, lemon, lime, pomegranate, almond and olive trees. The garden was very well maintained and watered ,as was the pool, by a chap called Pepe who was there most days.

The apartment is a couple of hundred (uphill) yards from the Mijas main street and from there its just a further 200 - 300 yards into the town centre. I can recommend the Mijas Wine Museum, do the winetasting - Julian is a joy, and just opposite is the La Gamba restaurant, where the Spanish husband cooks traditional, authentic dishes, while his wife takes the orders and serves. I can recommend the rabbit and the paella.

Mijas generally is a lovely place, the bullring and the church are worth a visit, you can take a romantic carriage ride around the village or maybe a less romantic Donkey Taxi ride. You can also catch the bus every half hour down into the hustle and bustle of Fuengirola and beyond.

I can unreservedly recommend this apartment as a base for your next visit to the Costa Del Sol - my only regret is that I'm going back in October but the apartment is already fully booked.

Apartment Mijas Pueblo

Highly recommended.Description accurate as to flat itself & location. It was clean & well maintained, good views, very peaceful except for occasional motorbike noise which appeared to be local lads enjoying going back & forth for no obvious reason!Pool very well maintained. The owners were very helpful right from our first enquiry. We enjoyed being able to walk into the town easily & the proximity of the supermarket was useful. Also we used the pay toll regularly because although expensive it saved time & hassle. We would certainly recommend it to a friend & hope to go again ourselves.

relaxing week

Phil19720000 Sussex
Review Submitted: July 31, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2008
we know the area very well, and we chose the apartment completely on its location - so in that respect for us, it was 10/10. The apartment itself had everything we needed, although some of the cooking bits & pieces could do with a little bit of an update! But lots of people will want to eat out every night, so that isn't an issue for many. My only negative on the whole week (apart from the weather which was unseasonably cool) was that the only people in the whole building were a couple (who are owners) who I don't think particuarly liked children and we have 3 boys - (why they were staying in half-term week I don't know!), other than that it is very quiet and peaceful.
