Perfect trip to NYC

Santiago_Vancouver Vancouver, BC
Review Submitted: October 24, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
My wife and I stayed with Bill and Pete the dog for about ten days. It was a perfect trip. Bill is a kind and excellent host and has unparalleled knowledge of NYC. The apartment's location is ideal: close to subway lines, a block from central park, and a 15 minute walk to Times Square. Right across the street from Lincoln Centre, the neighbourhood is full of restaurants, cafes, stores and movie theaters, which means you get the comfort of a residential neighbourhood without sacrificing any of the convenience.
The apartment was also all we were looking for. The room is very spacious with tons of closet space, a very comfortable bed, HD TV with a myriad of channels, and a beautiful view of surrounding buildings and Central Park.
If you want the perfect trip to NYC for a fraction of the price of a hotel, look no further.

Home away from home

Our New York experience couldn't have been blessed with a more perfect host and location. We will continue to refer our friends, family and colleagues to Bill.

Bill's place is a perfect trifecta! Location, host, and accommodations.

Not only is Bill an amazing LIVE IN concierge but he makes coffee for you every morning and takes care of you when you are feeling down.
He prepared our friend a warm cognac one evening when he wasn't feeling well and gave us cold medicine one day.

We are hooked! We plan to stay with him every time we visit NYC. Miss Pete'y already!
Sincerely.
Shelly & Sierra

Wonderful Birthday Weekend

Review Submitted: November 11, 2009 Date of Stay: November 2009
I decided to surprise my girlfriend with a trip to New York for the weekend. After looking through all of the available properties, I decided to book this property. I was a little uncertain how the "owner-on-site" would work. I had read the positive reviews from previous guests and hoped that we would have a similar experience.
After spending the weekend with Bill and Pete (the dog), we came home with huge smiles and great memories. I would liken the whole experience to a bed and breakfast. Bill was an incredible host with a wealth of New York knowledge. He was always available when you needed him, but not overbearing or in your business when you want personal time or need to get out the door. We enjoyed our time with him as much as any other part of our weekend.
As far as the actual space. Your room is set up just like a hotel room. It has a great view as you are up 12 stories from street level. The rooftop is a must see!!! You have 360 view of the city including all of Central Park, the Hudson (where the plane safely landed), and other great landmarks. No matter how cold it is, make sure you go up for a view at night!
Bill, thanks for the experience and give Pete a treat for us!

Bill and Pete, the dog, thanks for your kind help during our visit in the city that never sleeps. The comfort of your apartment helped us to relax after our month in Europe. We will never forget the kindness with which you treated us with each detail. Your place is marvelous, the view from the room we stayed to the Central Park , something just perfect ! The acomodation was very neat and clean and had a lot of New York charme. We spent 7 wonderful days ther! Close to everywhere ! Highly recommendable! Thanks Bill and Pete once more for everything . Take Care !! Ricardo, Rondon & Janaina

The perfect host at the perfect location

We enjoyed our stay with Bill and Pete (the dog). The location close to Central Park is ideal for an early exercise at Central Park and a breakfast in the vicinity. The location is great for a walk, shopping or sightseeing of the main attraction point in NYC.
Bill's apartment is perfectly located for a good dinner at affordable price and great atmosphere. Also perfect for any cultural event at Lincoln Centre. The room is spacious and well appointed.

Most of all, Bill is the perfect host with a great knowledge of NY and general knowledge and cultures. Bill is extremely helpful and welcoming. Pete (the dog) is a character by itself: placid and well mannered.

We recommend this location for anyone who wants to have areal taste of NY. We have been in NYC many times previously but the accommodation with Bill has been the best experience.

The place to stay in New York

Ron and Ingrid Haarlem, The Netherlands
Review Submitted: October 4, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
We stayed with Bill at the end of September. His appartment proved to be an excellent location for exploring the city of New York. Comparing it to staying in a New York hotel we found this much more convenient and safer. We got (more) value for money.
Privicy is not an issue. We had our own bathroom. We could come and go as we liked. We feld truely welcome and at home.
Bill is an excellent host and very knowledgable about New York; what to see, visit and where to eat.
We would recommend his appartment to everybody who wants to visit New York.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bill's. He is such a nice person and Pete (the dog) is adorable.
The flat is very very comfortable and we spent a wonderful time over there. We hope we will have time to meet him if he comes in Paris or if we go back to NYC!

Well, It was , for my fiancée and I our second trip to NYC, and it was perfect, Bill is really fun, nice and so open minded and helpful, if you have a problem, he will be there for you!
Definitely, when I go back to NYC, I will go to see him and in his apartment, with a beautigul view on central park ( first night, we were up around 5 o'clock so we saw the sunrise, awesome!)
Two thumbs up!

Super place to stay!

If you are looking for a place to stay in NYC that has an outstanding location, security and hospitality this is the home away from home. You will experience a friendly atmosphere from the get go. Bill is super accomodating and pet Pete is a wonderful companion too.
Now lets talk about the neighborhood. Most interesting places like Central Park, cafes, The Shops at theTime Warner, subway station to name a few are just walking distance from the apartment. More importantly, host Bill shares with you the "real" New York" from the best fine dining place to the most popular (though pedestrian) New York hotdogs. A splendid time is guaranteed for guests!

Great location, great host

My son and I stayed with Bill and Pete for two days while visiting colleges in NYC. Bill is a gracious and friendly host. He provided tourist maps, guidance for the subway, and restaurant recommendations. The location couldn't be better, just a short walk to Central Park, Lincoln Center, and Columbus Circle, and an easy subway ride to almost anywhere in Manhattan. We have been to NYC before, but staying here helped us feel like real New Yorkers. Don't miss the view from the roof of the apartment building!
