I good money for what I thought was a luxury apartment and what I got was average at best. We arrived late on the Tuesday and went to collect the keys from the manager who went with us to the apartment. He didn't really show us anything other than letting us in. He was very friendly however. The TV didn't work. I couldn't access the Internet and the apartment really needs refurbishing. I tried to ring the manager but he didn't answer his mobile or home phone. We eventually spoke with his wife who said he would contact us in the morning. We didn't even unpack. There are 2 bathrooms but they are not ensuite which was difficult as we were with friends. In the morning the shower in the second bathroom didn't work at all. We tried numerous times to contact the manager who eventually came round. We said that the photo;s he had sent were of a different apartment and were much better than this. He said they were example photo's. He was unaware that the freezer door and bin were broken or that numerous items of equipment advertised were not available. He explained that between 8 and 9 the gardener waters the garden so the water pressure is too low for the second shower. The TV (which was not flat panel) needed connecting differently to work. He claimed that he had no other complaints. He offered us 50% refund if we wanted to leave. I settled on 1 night and cleaning fee. The apartment is in a fantastic location however it is not worth more than half what we paid due to its condition. We a reduced price to avoid the hassle of finding another place a short notice he initialy agreed but when we contacted him later he claimed that the apartment was rented and he wanted us out by 3pm. We moved to a much nicer complex down the road which had just been refurbished. It cost us more BUT it was the luxury we thought we were getting. If you book make sure you know what you are getting.
Owner's Response: The most important thing for us is to offer our clients wonderful holidays in a splendid apartment situated in an extraordinary location. So that they leave the apartment after a perfect stay recovered and satisfied. Therefore most of our clients come back and much of them are regular guests. Not without reason they reviewed our apartments always with the best notes.
I am very disappointed that this client turn everything upside down. In fact my impression from the beginning was that he tried to find reasons to reduce the price. He said in his review that he had booked the luxury apartment, but this is the first thing what not matches the truth. He booked and paid the Apartment - Bahía Feliz at the sea for up to 5 persons, which is of cause much lower rated than the luxury apartment.
The facts are: He came late at night. I went with him to show the apartment and to give an introduction. I showed him every single room, also the balcony. I explained how the facilities in the kitchen works, that we had put a 5 liter water bottle for cooking tea and coffee, a welcome package with tee, milk, sugar and some refreshing drinks and beer in the refrigerator. Furthermore I recommended some restaurants and supermarkets and how to come there. After this, at least 20 minutes, I said goodbye without forgetting to express to contact me if he would have questions, desires or in case of problems.
One and a half hour later he called to tell that he can`t connect to the internet and the TV wouldn´t work. Next early morning I found the TV and the Internet working. Also the other things which were allegedly not in a satisfying condition, like the shower in the second bathroom were working. After this he tried to find more negative things and offered me to half the amount.
I suggested to reduce the price to a reasonable amount for this inconvenience, but he didn´t accept. Only for the half amount he would like to stay. I offered him to give the money back and to charge only one night and the cleaning fee.
About 2 hours after he left the apartment he sent me the following message on my mobile: Dear renter. After having looked around we have decided to take your offer. King regards.
Because of the apartment wasn´t free furthermore now he seem to revenge by this way to revile the apartment. That’s a real sad story which we never had experienced all the years.
