Our Visit to Kos

We have many wonderful memories of our October, 2009 visit to Greece, and our week at Villa Kos is a special highlight. The accommodations were very comfortable and attractive, and the view of the sea, the gardens, and the sunsets were outstanding. We especially appreciated the cordiality of our hosts, Blandine and Leo, in sharing information about the island with us, and especially in hosting a dinner at their home to launch our visit.

We went two families to Kos at Blandine and her husbands place. It was this year in the beginning of july.
Everything were nice. The house, the hosts, the weather, the beach etc. We would like to come back !
The sunset was fantastic and it was a quite place , perfect for family life. Our hosts were very helpful and nice !

The houses at Villa Kos are pretty much everything you could want in a holiday villa: spacious, airy, comfortable, easy to keep tidy, and with fantastic views and a glorious sunset every night. Everything was clean, working properly, and just as described on the website. And if there were any problems, Blandine and Leonidas were always around to sort it out.
B & L are great hosts. They took us out for a welcome meal and were full of advice on things to do and places to go. They helped organise a trip to the neighbouring island of Nisyros.
Villa Kos is on a quiet stretch of the north coast. If you're into partying and nightlife, it's perhaps not the best place. The nearest town (5 minutes away by car) is nice but pretty sleepy. If you want peace and quiet, however, this is the place. You have your own space to relax, but within easy walking distance there is a small shop, a great pool, a beach with watersports, the Lido waterpark (popular with kids), and several good restaurants, some overlooking the beach.
To get the most of the rest of the island, you really need a car. We found many sorts of beaches: windy ones for sailing, peaceful ones for snorkelling and sunbathing, wavy ones for leaping in the surf, and even one with a hot spring for soaking in. There are impressive ruins from many periods and Kos town is great for wandering around in. What Kos lacks are the olde-worlde greek towns with narrow streets and sleepy squares, but we got a good taste of that on a day trip to Nisyros, plus saw its impressive volcano.
Altogether an excellent holiday that we would recommend to others. We hope to be back soon.

blandine y leónidas son los anfitriones perfectos. encantadores y discretos, acogen a visitantes con una calidez fuera de lo común.
han creado un microcosmos acogedor, familiar, relajante.
las casas son lo justo, lo que buscábamos. sencillas y muy habitables, buenas vistas, un precioso jardín que aún no han finalizado, un sitio realmente especial.
lo mejor de esta pequeña isla que tiene demasiada influencia turca.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Villa Kos on this very peaceful part of this Greek island. Accommodation very comfortable and well equipped. Blandine and Leonardis extremely helpful with their advice and tips on shopping, etc., and kindly providing us with good company, good freshly cooked food and wine on our arrival despite the late hour. We found the Blue and White restaurant, opposite the hotels and only a 5 minute walk from the villa, a delightful place to eat every evening, the proprietor really put himself out, often obtaining and cooking food for us which was not on the menu, and the staff were multi lingual, friendly and very helpful.

Muss ich heute wirklich fort von hier? Seit ich gekommen bin, habe ich kein Urlaubsgefühl, sondern fühlte mich einfach zu Hause. Gibt es etwas Besseres? Sigrid Schmit, Düsseldorf ** Wir sind Fußgänger, Strandläufer und haben auf Villa Kos den idealen Ausgangsort für uns gefunden. Eine wunderbare Aussicht und einen kurzen Weg zum Meer. Wir haben eine wunderbare Oktoberwoche in der Villa Kos verbracht. Sie ist wirklich schön gelegen, der Blick aufs Meer und Kalymnos ist wunderschön. Und erst der Nachthimmel! Vielen Dank nochmal für Eure Gastfreundschaft, Blandine und Leonidas! Wenn wir nochmal nach Kos fahren, dann werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder in die Villa Kos einziehen, keine Frage.

Traumferien mit Aussicht aufs Meer

Superschöner Urlaub, sehr schönes Haus und sehr nette Gastgeber. Die Angaben im Online-Inserat waren korrekt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt im Haus, alles war sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Ein richtig entspannter Urlaub mit unserer Familie. Die Lage ist sehr gut, zu Fuss ca. 10 Min. bis zum Strand. Wir schätzten auch die Nähe zu Mastichari, um abends gemütlich essen zu gehen.

Ein tolles Fleckchen, bei tollen Gastgebern

Der ideale Familienurlaub. Mit Condor günstig nach Kos, schon vorher bei Manos ein Auto gemietet. Übergabe am Fluhafen hat reibungslos geklappt. Dann bei Blandine und Stephanidis am Ferienhaus angekommen. Sehr freundlich empfangen, gut ausgestattet mit sensationellen Blick auf´s Meer und die benachtbarte Insel. Der Strand war toll, schnell erreichbar (zu Fuss) und manches mal waren wir fast alleine am Strand. Das Meer warm und seicht so das die KInder ohne Gefahr planschen könnten. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in unmittelbarer Nähe. Tipp: Auf jeden Fall Obst und Gemüse bei den Bauersfrauen an der Strasse kaufen. 1 frisch und 2 günstig. Fazit: Es ist ein idealer Ort bei tollen Gastgebern die sich sehr viel Mühe geben und die für Ihre Gäste ein kleines Paradies geschaffen haben. Wer dort nicht wohnt, wenn er Kos besucht ist selber schuld. Für uns war es wunderbar. Vielen Dank an Blandine, Stephanidis und Veronica von Manos.
