the perfect holiday home

jmck1947 colchester
Review Submitted: September 13, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
This was truly a memorable holiday. From the moment we stepped into the property until the moment we left this was truly a home I would certainly recommend and have indeed done so.I have already booked for next year.
The house was well look after and had all the ammenities one could ask for. From en-suite bathroom to 2 fridges ( to keep the wine and beer cool ) you could not ask for more. The house was very clean and welcoming. The outdoor space was truly wonderful with views of the surrounding countryside to the hills beyond. The outdoor pool was in itself a highlight of the property.Just the place to cool down in the hot climate.
From the moment I booked this holiday until I left I cannot find one fault.Even the intructions to get to the house were 1st class.
To sum up this was a truly wonderful experience and one I and my family are certainly looking forward to next year.

Great family house.

An ideal base for exploring the local area. We enjoyed many trips to the seaside and the mountains. Lots to do especially with children or you can just sit back and enjoy the pool in its beautiful surroundings.

delightful Puisserguier

Review Submitted: February 2, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2008
We stayed in the villa last May for our 25th wedding anniversary. The area was beautiful and we had no problems finding it . It was also within walking distance of Puisserguier where there wers local shops including a supermarket and a few resturants. We had some lovely walks amound the vineyards and within 30mins by car we were by the sea side. The property was clean and well presented the kitchen had every thing that we would have at home. A relaxing romantic holiday which I would recommend to any one.

Le Four a Chaux

Scoobysue Kent, England
Review Submitted: January 10, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2008
Le Four a Chaux offers excellent value for money. The property is situated just outside the small town of Puisserguier and has wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and mountains. The house is large and well-maintained and has its own private garden with a large plunge pool - a much needed item on the hot days of August!
There is a good sized terrace with plenty of room for sun loungers and dining table as well as a built-in barbecue.
The kitchen is a good size and well equipped with everything you need to cater for a family when not dining out at some of the fantastic restaurants in the area.
There is an automatic washing machine which is okay for a quick rinse through of clothes but doesn't spin very well. Not really a problem as the clothes dry very quickly when left to drip dry on the line in the heat of the day. There is also a shower room and an ensuite bathroom on the ground floor. There are three good-sized bedrooms, one with two single beds and two with a double bed, the master bedroom has ensuite facilities. The rooms are all clean and plenty of fresh towels and bedding are provided throughout your stay.
The lounge is located up a short but steep flight of open-tread stairs and overlooks the garden from three sides and provides excellent views of the mountains and surrounding countryside. Lovely and cool in the heat of the day, this is a great place to escape to. It is a well -equipped room with comfortable seating, a good-sized television with video player and there a selection of videos to idle your time away with if you so wish. The house has a wide selection of books in every room to suit every taste - so if you forget to bring your poolside book its not a problem!
The house is tastefully decorated throughout and is light and airy.
The town of Puisserguier is a short walking distance away and offers a good selction of shops and the small supermarket is ideal for most of your needs. A larger supermarket is available at Capestang. Capestang is about 10 minutes drive away (if that) and is a very pretty town along the banks of the Canal Du Midi. It has some fantastic restaurants - but its best to phone up and reserve a table.
The area offers a range of activities for all ages and there are plenty of places to visit. We recommend a visit to the nearby caves when temperatures start edging towards the 40 degree mark.

Lovely villa, lovely location

Brettsue New Zealand
Review Submitted: January 10, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2008
What a great villa in an excellent location! The property was spacious, well equipped and well located, within walking distance of shops (boulangerie, patisserie, charcuterie etc) and restaurants - especially once we discovered the shortcut! There are loads of wonderful sights of the Languedoc, coast and hills, within an hour or two drive of the villa suitable for day and half day excursions. We enjoyed bobbing in the pool, dining on the patio and drinking the local wine. Would certainly recommend this villa. Brett and Sue from New Zealand

superb holiday venue

Review Submitted: January 9, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2008
Puissergier is a long way! But the journey was so worth it. We had a lovely holiday! The weather was almost perfect, and your house was just superb as a holiday home. We could stay in all day and sit in the sun and read, or saunter down to the village for coffee and croissants in the sun, or get out and about, down to the Med for a swim, or out to sample the many delightful eating places. We just wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay in your house and to thank you. We will certainly bear it in mind for another time. We love France and will surely be coming again
