Courtyard Cottage

Really enjoyed our stay at the cottage, excellent, clean and modern facilties in a pretty cottage with friendly owners, in a quiet and peaceful little village. There are a couple of pubs serving food within easy walking distance of the cottage. Ideal for getting away from it all but the train station in Church Fenton is only minutes away, so again ideal for access to York. Will definitely be recommending this one to friends and family.

Quiet Cottage Idyll

This property is beautifully decorated and fully equipped with all anyone could require for their stay. Everything is very clean and well looked after. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The cottage makes a great base for exploring York, Harrogate and Leeds. Being able to return to the quiet village in the evening after a short drive out of the busy city is delightful. The only downside of our visit was that we couldn't stay longer! Highly recommended.

3 Great Weeks in Courtyard Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay in the nice and cosy cottage for three weeks with lots of places to visit all around Yorkshire.

The cottage is well-equipped and provides everything you need (including wireless internet access and Sky + TV). There is a huge garden as well. However, the weather did not allow us to spend a lot of time out there.

We had an excellent time there!

My friend and I (+ our three children) stayed at this lovely upside down cottage from 27th to 29th May 09. We all had a fantastic time. On arrival we were greeted by Sallys husband who was really helpful, showed us where everything was from the secret garden to the cutlery... This is a very well equiped place to stay and there were loads of kids toys, dvds, cds and books to keep them occupied so we had a peaceful time too. nothing is too much trouble for the owners who are always on call to answer any questions. we would definately stay again. thank you, thank you, thank you...

Great location between Leeds and York. Ideal for visiting these great cities and further afield.
The property is ideal for small families. Our two girls loved playing in the garden. Excellent selection of games (indoor and outdoor), dvds and books to help keep them entertained.
The cottage is very well equipped, nicely furnished and spotlessly clean.
Sally and Andy are excellent hosts - very friendly and helpful. They are around if needed, but are certainly not intrusive.
Would definitely recommend.

Courtyard Cottage

This upside down cottage is a real treat. Stylishly and very comfortably decorated and furnished, with everything we needed to make our stay easy and enjoyable. Although fairly small, it felt very spacious and offered enough room to accommodate us with ease. The family bedroom is a very good size and would be plenty big enough for two adults and two children. The same can be said for the bathroom, which was made to feel even more luxurious by the addition of underfloor heating, which was throughout the cottage.
It is very well located for easy access to the towns and cities of Leeds, Harrogate and York, all within a thirty minute drive and if you are venturing a little further to the Dales and the Moors, then these too are an easy driving distance. The local countryside is good for walking for the less enthusiastic or less physically able, as it is fairly level, with far reaching views.
There is a pretty garden to the rear of the property and private parking immediately outside the front door.
The proprieters, Sally and Andy are very helpful and friendly, giving us a very warm welcome.
I would be very happy to recommend this holiday cottage.
