I have to agree with everything that has already been written about this fantastic villa. It was everything we could have hoped for and more. After 2 busy weeks in Orlando it was wonderful to have a relaxing 4 days at Shabreeze.
The villa was immaculate, well equipped and beautifully furnished. It is in a great location, with shops, restaurants and amazing beaches only a short drive away. The layout and space in the villa, meant that with 4 adults and 5 children we had plenty of room.
Thank you Kevin for allowing us to share your villa. It has been a pleasure dealing with you and we look forward to our next trip back to Shabreeze.

Search no further. The pictures do not do this rental property justice. It is a beautiful, spacious and immaculately clean home. Kevin, the home owner, is extremely trustworthy and a pleasure to work with. He has paid much attention to detail in his home, and it was indeed a pleasure to vacation in this house this past June. I wish I could have packaged it up and shipped it back to PA. The layout was perfect for our family of 4 teenage girls. Everyone had their own space, and every door led to the beautiful, enclosed pool and spa area. Even though we hated to leave the house, we did venture out a lot to the many fabulous surrounding beaches....All beat the New Jersey beaches hands down! They were uncrowded and easy to get to. The beach breeze was refreshing! Wish I could have bottled it up somehow. We even went as far as Sanibel and collected many souvenirs from the beach to bring home. Restaurants and shopping are plentiful.... there is almost a Super Walmart on every corner...OK maybe a little exaggeration! A fun time was had by all on this vacation. I highly recommend this rental property. I know I am going to regret that later on because you probably will rent the week I want! I definitely plan on returning to the Shabreeze again and again. It was one of my favorite vacation spots. I am so happy Kevin was gracious enough to share his home with all of us. You will not find a better spot to vacation in. And that's the truth!

We arrived after long flights and an overnight stay in Orlando, to what we can only describe as paradise. Shabreeze is the most luxurious villa we have ever had the pleasure to stay in. It is so clean, well equipped, comfortable, cool, and peaceful. We were a party of 5, 2 adults and 3 children, and we really enjoyed the space and privacy that Shabreeze gave us. We did eventually manage to leave the beautiful villa to explore, and loved Gasparilla Island, which was not more that a 10 minute drive from us. It's beaches and atmosphere was very laid back, and welcoming. The children loved the sunset boat tour we did from the dock at the bottom of the road, just before the turning to the Gasparilla Causeway. The sight of the dolphins just playing in the water at sunset is something that we will all remember. Another thrill was to see a large tortoise striding along the side of the road on Gasparilla. That's a sight I never thought I would see. You can't beat this place, it is sumptious.

What can we say ? Kev promised something special & boy did he deliver! We travelled as a party of 4 adults & 3 kids. Having spent a week doing the manic experience that is Orlando, we arrived after 2.5 hours to peace. We honestly expected the area to be developed, but no, just two other houses on the whole street. We couldn't have been more detached, yet still only minutes from civilisation.
Nearest supermarket, pharmacy, liquor store & takeaways are literally two mins. 15 minutes to Charlotte Mall & Englewood for a wider selection of restaurants & stores.
Went to Boca Grande twice. It's beautiful & beaches awesome. Few dollars to get onto island, but the average property is going to cost a few million $. We went right down south of the island & used the beach just before you hit the bottom. Great beach shack/restaurant & bar. Great tip - don't drive back on the main road, turn off and explore the side streets - wonderful properties. Dolphins, rays & shells will also add to your experience.
Back at the property, we spent alot of time in the pool & enjoying the high quality accommodation. Pool is fenced which gave us peace of mind when the kids got up before us in the mornings. We ate in quite a bit & used the BBQ. It was so peaceful (once the kids were in bed). Spent a couple of nights just sat on the patio "listening" to "things" moving through the woods ! We did question how strong the pool netting was.....but luckily no other animals other than the resident armadillo & woodpeckers.
In summary, the facilities were fantastic. Two wonderful master beds, with huge en-suites & wardrobes, opening directly onto the patio. Two beatiful rooms for the kids plus a TV room/5th bed. Pool bathroom was also very useful for wet people & avoided wet feet in the kitchen or lounge. The lounge triple sliding doors open fully back to allow the house to merge into the patio, which was a really nice feature. Kitchen fully equipped with everything you need, as was the laundry. We would recommend shutting the house up at nightfall & using bug spray. We all were "dinner" for some elusive bugs, waking each morning with new bites. But heh, it's Florida, you should expect it of a tropical location! Spray up or stay in.
All in all, would recommend to friends without question & if we can, we would love to return. The area is lovely, beaches are fantastic, weather is glorious, people welcoming & friendly & getting around was easy & stress free. A car is an absolute must though.

When my sister announced that she was getting married, and wanted a destination wedding to "Sanibel Island" (Florida) we began our search for a place to stay immediately. We quickly found that Hotels/Motels were very expensive, and with a family of 5 eating out was not an option for 3 meals a day. I began searching -via- internet for a house to rent. I e-mailed many people, who owned vacation villas - in Florida. My favorite place was the "Shabreeze" and was delighted when Kevin called me. We confirmed the reservations, which I felt a bit uneasy as we had to wire money to his bank account. We were nervous as so many people are looking to take advantage of others. Please rest assured if you are unsure about renting the "Shabreeze", Kevin is a very honest, caring, and organized person to deal with. He makes you feel at ease with phone calls, and makes himself very accessible and open to talk to. Plus, his amazing sense of humor - is terrific. You will love him!
Not really knowing what to expect, my whole family arrived at "Shabreeze", Grandparents, Bride, Groom, and the 5 of us, 3 of which are children ages 3,6,and 8. We opened the door to be welcomed by the MOST beautiful, well kept, clean and absolutely perfect home in Florida… the "Shabreeze" Everything that our hearts desired was waiting for us. We wanted for nothing !!! (Except for maybe a personal chef - Hee-hee)
One of my many favorite amenities were the beds they were so very, very comfortable. (I usually don't sleep well away from home, but at the "Shabreeze" sleep was no problem.) While at the "Shabreeze" we enjoyed only the finest amenities life has to offer, long walks around the very quiet area, and breakfast pool side. All the stresses of life disappeared while we were there. The “Shabreeze" is tucked away off the busy path and hustle and bustle of Florida. IT IS THE BEST KEPT SECRET in FLORIDA! If you are looking for a relaxing quiet place to stay away from crowds "Shabreeze" is the BEST place to go!!!!
I could write chapters more about "Shabreeze" but I hope with this brief review, you feel confident about contacting Kevin to stay at "Shabreeze".

We have just returned from Shabreeze and had a fabulous time. The house was spacious enough for 10 people but private enough for each of us to have our own time. The pool got a lot of use from everyone - particularly the hot tub. The house was clean and well equipped with everything you could possibly need to have some great family meals together.

The house itself is in a beautiful secluded area but it is only 15 or 20 minutes to multiple beaches, restaurants and shopping. You feel as though you are the only person around but close enough to have a good time out and about. It is about 1 hour from Sarasota if you want to check out the greyhound races or Siesta Key and about 1 hour from Ft Myers if you want to check out the amazing white sand beaches there.

There is a great seafood restaurant about 15 minutes from Shabreeze called the Lock and Key, and Englewood Beach (15 minutes) is great for swimming or shell collecting.

The house lived up to everything Kevin had promised and his customer service was excellent. It was great to chat over Skype and "see" each other. I would certainly recommend this property to my friends! We are looking forward to booking again.
