Appartamento meraviglioso,
comodissimo, il supermercato super fornito ci si trova di tutto, il lusso di tornare a casa dopo una giornata in giro, e poter avere la libertà di scegliere cosa mangiare non è poco, e soprattutto,
aperto fino alle 22.
arrivare alla grand central station ti fa capire quanto è maestosa NYC,
affacciarsi sul lungo fiume e vedere manhattan l'Empire State, ed il Crysler Building non ha prezzo!!!!

This apartment was perfect for our girly break in New York. The loft was on a corner position so plenty of light, high ceilings, views onto the rooftop terrace (ping pong, BBQ & loungers).
The shampoo, shower products etc. were much appreciated and the place was clean with all the amenities we needed - we even managed to get to the gym a few times.
The only point I would make is that the pool was closed after 8th September which was a shame as the weather was beautiful and we had intended to use it.
Location wise the apartment is perfect - only one stop from Grand Central on the 7 train and quiet enough in the evenings to get some much needed kip.
We were given details of George for our airport transfers who was very helpful, stored our baggage for us on our last day and was very honest when we gave him too much money!!
There were local bars and restaurants on Jackspn which we visited a few times - all good and we also cooked in the apartment as the market opposite had a great selection of fresh food.
Dahlia has always been very prompt when responding to e-mails before we visited and was also very helpful whilst we were staying in the apartment.
I would definetly recommend this property and hope to return soon to explore more of the city.

This is a great place to stay especially if you are going to spend some time in Queens or Brooklyn. Easy to get on #7 subway to go into Manhattan or out to Flushing. Very clean building and always felt very safe in neighborhood. We will definitely be coming back.

I chose this property as I wanted my partner for his 50th Birthday to experience living in NY and not just visiting. It was perfect. Dahlia was great beforehand answering questions and Mervin's follow up when we arrived was appreciated. The apartment is much bigger than the pictures show, clean, well equipped and masses of space for 5. The views of Manhattan are to die for. Much better than being in amongst it looking up all the time. Great for the one stop subway ride into Manhattan, a day of sightseeing then back to chill and drink in the views. The deck for eating out, with use of BBQ was great. The swimming pool although small never became crowded. The subway being only a short walk was perfect and the Diner just by the entrance was great and far better value for money than most of the overpriced delis and diners in Manhattan. This trip was perfect for us as although it was Paul's 50th Birthday present from me, he turned the tables and proposed to me at the top of the Empire State Building! Wow what a time we had. Thank you Dahlia and Mervin for helping to make this such a special holiday for us. We will recommend you to as many people as we can and hope to be back one day in the not too distant future.

P.S. we found out, regrettably when leaving, that on Thursday evenings in the park by the apartment there is a free cinema viewing. A portable screen is placed in the park, you turn up and watch a film, with views of the ESB and Chrysler as well - surreal!!

We spent a week at the condo and it was simply perfect. With a market across the street, a wine and spirit shop around the corner and the subway just 3 blocks away, the whole experience was fabulous. Dahlia and Mervin were easy to work with and very knowledgeable about the city and the surroundings. On top of all that the people of NYC were great. We will be back, hopefully soon. Tom and Amy

The view of Manhattan is so amazing especially from the swimming pool !!!!!
It's also very convenient because very close to Manhattan by subway and also very close to facilities (restaurants, grocery ...). We hope to come back very soon.

Would just like to say,i would highly recommend the apartment for a stay in new york.My self and two friends stayed form the 24th of june for a week .It is ideally situated for manhattan 3 mins walk to the 7 line subway station and about ten mins on the subway to times sq,grand central station etc.The apartment is spotlessly clean,luxurious,with every possible thing you would need ,even umbrellas not that we needed them.The air conditioning is great especially after a long sweaty day walking round manhattan,small open air swimming pool on a roof deck overlooking the east river and the skyline ,with the empire state building right in front of you ,a gym which we didnt use ,and very friendly helpfull concierge .Dahlia and Mervin where extremley accom and helpfull from the booking till we left.I would highly recomend this property.Mick from london

My husband and I decided to invite our adult children to New York for a week´s adventure in connection with our 25th wedding anniversary. We are from Denmark and had not been to the United States before so it was very important to us to make the right choices.

We found Dahlia and Mervin´s condo on the Holiday-Rentals website and decided that this was it. And indeed it was. The condo fully lived up to our expectations! Spacy and clean with products and soft towels waiting for us. The condo has a great view of the roof top terrasse where residents of the Avalon building meet for a barbecue after work, play table tennis or just enjoy the sun, and 5 minutes from the building you find yourself on this amazing boardwalk facing the Manhattan skyline - just magnificent!

We really enjoyed our breakfast meals around the kitchen table. The condo has great facilities and FoodCellar across the street had the most amazing selection of foods that we had ever seen. Had we not decided that this was also going to be a holiday for mom, we wouldn´t have hesitated to buy all our meals there. However, the neighbourhood provided ample opportunity for dining out. Check out in particular Vernon Street which offers many different categories of restaurants, and on Manhattan we would like to recommend Pappardella at 316 Colombus Avenue close to Central Park. We went there both for lunch and then later dinner on our last night. Great service and excellent food. It is possible to sit outside.

The very best thing by staying on the other side of the river was the peace and quiet when returning with train no. 7 from Manhattan after a long day´s excursions. You will not regret this choice! Even our children thought it was great not to stay in the middle of the Manhattan inferno.

Many thanks to Dahlia for providing timely and excellent information about everything including prompt responses to all our advance emails, and to Mervin for showing up on our doorstep the first day with a bag of hot bagels and the newspaper to make us feel even more at home. And to limo George who picked us up at the airport and brought us back again at the end of our holiday at a very competitive price.

We all long to go back and have recommended this condo to all our friends. We are convinced that you will too!

Last piece of advice - don´t overpack your suitcases - you can´t go to New York without doing extensive shopping.
