Very relaxing week...

Thoroughly recommended property. The house is located in quiet countryside and very peaceful, without being isolated. The facilities available are all excellent and as described. If anything, the photos of the property do not do it justice. The house was very clean on arrival and the bottle of wine waiting for us topped it off!
We stayed from the 19th - 26th September 2009 and would happily recommend this place to our friends and family. Throughout the booking process, the owners were very responsive to our questions and helpful in our organising the trip - they've also returned our deposit today, less than 48 hours after our return.

Fantastic place for relaxing holiday

We have just returned from 2 weeks holiday here and would highly recommend this house. The views are amazing and the pool is absolutely great. There is such a lot of space, both in the house (which is very well equipped) and in the surrounding garden and we had all our meals on the terrace overlooking the pool.
There are lots of great places to visit nearby and our children particularly enjoyed canoeing down the Dordogne.
All in all, a great place for a family holiday.

We stayed here in August 2008,
There were 5 of us Two adults and three teenagers. The house is very well presented with excellent facillities, 2 bathrooms which are on the ground floor. The lovely far reaching views from the property, and privacy is fabulous. Throught the house the lovely deco, the layout makes this property a delight. The swimming pool being heated was really went down well , we used it every day! the garden is very spacious well maintained and being not overlooked by anyone is also fabulous, we eat outside on the patio every day. Very nice touches a bottle of wine on arrival and milk in the fridge. The only fault with the property as that double bedded room would be better if there was a bathroom within the room, so then you dont need to go down stairs . " it is certainly big enough to have one ".
Overall this villa is " EXCELLENT" in every way loads of space with quaulity fittings inside and out. We highly recomemed this to anyone. We throughly enjoyed our stay!!!!

An elegant and well equipped house in a truly magical setting. The garden and heated pool are well tended as is the house. The bathrooms are both downstairs which may be a problem for some people. Avoid the well-listed
restaurant in Daglan...cuisine is very mediocre for the high prices...better to shop in the magnificent local markets/shops and cook in the superb kitchen of the
house and dine either in the main dining room, the kitchen or on the beautiful terrace! Late April the temperature was very warm during the day (28c). During the evening the very efficient wood-burner (an abundance of logs!) was welcomed after the sun went down. We can very highly recommend this beautiful house.

Stunning views & stunning house

Everything about this house is stunning, the location, the views, the lovely heated pool, the very large private grounds (we actually saw deer very early one morning going into the woods) and the interior of this incredibly comfortable and tasteful house. Very nice touches added by the owners. Quality linen/towels and fittings, good size fridge & well fitted kitchen & spotlessly clean. Great location for sightseeing.The serenity this property/location ouzes makes it worth every penny - and the sun shone - perfect!
Beautiful location close to main Dordogne sights

We stayed in this lovely villa for 2 weeks in August 2008.
The villa is very spacious, spotlessly clean and well maintained. The owners have added some little touches, like Freeview TV, a bottle of wine when you arrive, a game consul and board games/ outdoor games for the kiddies.
The pool area is especially nice, set in a lovely huge garden with woods adjacent and amazing far-reaching views across the countryside.
We would have awarded the villa a rating of 5 if it had not been for the creaking of the roof at night above the master bedroom (as the structure cooled) and the hum of the electricity boxes in the twin bedroom, which disturbed sleep a little, but not after you get used to it. Also, the 2 bathrooms are on the ground floor so you have to go downstairs to the loo at night.
But, don't let this put you off. Overall this is a lovely, luxurious villa with loads of space in and out doors and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back.

The house is extremely well presented and all the furnishings high quality. It was well equipped and had all the required equipment which was ideal for a self catering holiday. There were some really nice touches, bottle of wine and milk in the fridge, french dictionary and books to read. My husband really appreciated the Sky TV for the cricket coverage (on 5 not sky sports)
