Bentley Lodge Weekend Stay

Review Submitted: September 27, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
We came for a romantic weekend break for my wife's 30th birthday and i can honestly say it was amazing. The pictures are beautiful but don't do it justice. Inside the lodge is everything you could need. Jan & Paul are very welcoming through booking and on arrival. There is so much to do out and about. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be booking to go back again. Thanks Jan & Paul

Owner's Response: Thanks for your wonderful comments. We try hard to make booking; arranging; travelling and arrival all a smooth process, and Jan does go the extra mile with personal welcomes. We have been very fortunate to have 2 couples stay at Bentley Lodge in Astbury Falls with this name... a very unusual co-incidence.. but a very happy one, and we look forward to welcoming both couples back.. and perhaps being host to even more.

Fabulous long weekend in a luxury lodge

Review Submitted: November 26, 2009 Date of Stay: November 2009
Wow....That is what my partner Claire said as she walked around Bentley lodge. Thoroughly enjoyed the cosiness of the surroundings during our Autumn stay. Weather wasn't great but it really didn't spoil our time there. A spotless venue well equipped for all eventualities. I have already recommended this to friends of varying ages and even my twenty something year old Daughters. The surrounding areas ensure there is enough to do for all types of interests. Highly recommended. Credit to Paul and Jan (The owners)

Owner's Response: There is something for all ages here, from walking to golf, from swimming to quad-biking, frm train-spotting to chilling out; from shopping to dining-out. You'd be hard pressed not to enjoy a stay. We will look forward to you returning or any recommended guests visiting and getting the 4 star treatment.

The lodge was really excellent and exceeded our expectations. We would certainly recommend the property to friends and indeed have already done so. There was such a lot to do and see in the surrounding area even in the Autumn. The sauna was superb!

Relaxing Weekend Away

Review Submitted: August 24, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
The pictures on the internet do not do justice to how beautiful this lodge actually is. I spent a thoroughly enjoyable weekend relaxing there with my girlfriend. Its hard to describe how utterly serene the atmosphere in and around the lodge was and i came away feeling like i had been gone for much longer.

The local town of Bridgenorth is stunningly picturesque and there are plenty of things to keep you occupied.

I would certainly recommend a visit to these lodges and me and my girlfriend will definaley be going back.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments.

We are so glad you were undisturbed during your stay, and got the relaxation you had dreamed of.

We look forward to seeing you both return...perhaps for an even longer break.

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend In June and had a fantastic weekend. This was booked as a surprise for my husbands birthday. The setting of the lodge is peaceful and relaxing. The lodge itself is outstanding and is fully equipped with everything you would need and more, including the sauna! Their is plenty to do in Shropshire including sightseeing, country walks, and the Severn Valley Railway. We will definitely return and recommend to others. Jo & Steve - Cheshire

romantic weekend break

I took my partner here for a surprise long weekend break, we pulled up to the lodge and were greeting by Jan who gave us a lovely warm welcome. The lodge itself was in an ideal location just a couple of minutes drive from the town and short walk from local pubs. Jan & Paul left us wine, chocolates and fresh fruit which I thought was a lovely touch. The property was beautifully furnished throughout, well equipped with everything you could possibly need from a picnic basket & ipod speakers to a bread maker! The weather was great when we first arrived so we made the most of it and sat on the terrace with a bottle of wine - here you could here the running water from the weir and occasionally the hooting from the SVR. Whist we were there we took the opportunity to try clay pigeon shooting & quad biking at the "edge adventure centre" - well worth a visit! Overall I really couldn't recommend this tranquil lodge enough, it's a beautiful place in a beautiful location with a hole host of local attractions and activities - you can do as much or as little as you like! Thanks again will look forward to seeing you both in the near future. x

Owner's Response: New Year this year was particularly beautiful at the lodge.

The hoare-frost made the scene picturesque - just like a Chirstmas Card !!!

There was misletoe a-plenty and we think it may have worked its magic. :o)

We would love to see you again.

Bentley Lodge is truly a luxurious lodge, well equipt with all you need for a relaxing break.
We spent our honeymoon here and it was all we could have hoped for and more. There is plenty to do in the areas surrounding the lodge, all of which are clearly detailed within the bentley lodge guide which was left for us at the lodge. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants serving good food yet the furniture and decor in the lodge is of the highest standard, as is the crockery and kitchen utensils, which discouraged us from leaving at all!
To spend time in such luxury with such peaceful surroundings was the perfect start to our married life.

Owner's Response: We hope to have you back for your anniversary perhaps.

We agree its a great place for a romantic break, and we seem to attract more than our fair share of honeymooners!!!

Honeymoon Stay

Micky1 Cheshire, England
Review Submitted: August 26, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
My wife and i stayed at Bentley Lodge, Astbury Falls in June 2008 for the first part of our honeymoon before jetting off to Dominican Republic, and just as the title states it is luxurious in a beautiful picturesque setting.

The lodge was immaculate, with plenty of space, excellent self catering facilities including a great sized kitchen and dining area. All rooms throughout the lodge are spacious and the decor is stunning. There is also a good size sauna in the bathroom which after a long day out walking around the lovely town of Bridgnorth was just what the doctor ordered.

The guides in the room and telephone conversations with Paul were clear and made our booking very relaxed and simple.

The location of the lodge is within 5 minutes of Bridgnorth which has a number of shops, restaurants and great views from the upper town which we visited using the fenicular railway.

I would recommend Bentley Lodge for business or pleasure, my job involves a lot of travelling and hotel stays throughout the UK and Ireland mainly 4/5 star accomodations. This lodge is probably the nicest i have stayed in for a number of years.

Owner's Response: Honeymoons are a magical time, and we hope that the luxury and tranquillity of Bentley Lodge added to that experience for the happy couple

For a return visit, there is still lots to see and do in the surrounding area.

Bentley lodge is te romantic holiday destination... secluded... luxurious...tranquil...and ideal for honeymooners wanting to spend time alone together.
