What a find!

Just want to say a big thank you to Greg for the wonderful apartment he provided during our recent stay in Paris (May 17-20, 2009).
Greg was very helpful and informative before we arrived, providing all the information we needed to access the apartment and directions on how to make our way there. He was also kind enough to let us keep our baggage in the apartment until well after check out time (around 6-7pm) as we had a late departing Eurostar train. This saved us the cost of storing the bags at the train station and meant we didn't have to lug them around all day.
As for the apartment - it was brilliant! It had all the facilities you could ever hope for and more - dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, 2 hob stove, combo microwave/oven/grill, all the pots, pans, cutlery and kitchen utensils, tv (with multiple satellite multi-language channels), dvd player, cd player & radio, wifi, telephone (with free local and international calls).
The separate bedroom was perfect after the long days spent walking around Paris and the sofa bed in the lounge room was excellent too. All the required linen was supplied. The bathroom had a great shower (with lots of hot water), sink and toilet, plus loads of towels were also provided.
The whole apartment has recently been renovated and the place is spotless. It is located in a lovely rustic building (especially loved the angled spiral staircase!), with a beautiful courtyard in the centre of the complex, and it is only a 2 minute walk to the Metro (as well as the local cafes and supermarkets etc) and a 5-10 minute walk to Gare du Nord and l'Est. The lovely Canal St-Martin is also nearby.
Not much more I can say really, other than the apartment is a great alternative to getting a hotel in Paris. Going back at the end of each day, it felt like we had our own place in Paris. Ohhh, I only wish we were there now.
Thanks Greg (and Driss), hopefully we'll be back sometime soon.
