We enjoyed staying in the house, the location and the surrounding area.
The House:
1) Convient parking, with allocated space,
2) Front exterior tiled and possible to drive car to front door for unloading,
3) Nice pool, good size and reguarly cleaned,
4) Enclosed Patio area with nice Patio Furniture, shower, Sink and barbacue,
5) Clean inside, with clean bedding, sheets and towels,
6) Generally well equiped with new furniture and kitchen equipment, beds very comfortable, but no table clothes, place mats, drink mats, tea towels, bath mats and reading lamps,
7) Well maintained throughout,
8) Spacious with adiquate wardrobe space and pleanty of seating,
9) Quite a few UK TV Channels including BBC1,2,3&4, ITV1,2&3, Channel4, 24hr News Channels, but no Channel 5,
Location:
1) Lovely sandy beach with shallow shelving just out of town, not our thing though, but it would be great for kids. Didn't walk to local beach, but I understand it is close to the accommodation and we drove to it and looked at it from the car and it seemed fine,
2) The only restaurant we went to in the town was the Prow, which is a Nicola franchise and is just opposite the estate agents, where you collect the keys, it served good food at a reasonable price,
3) We found the supermarket a bit cramped and muddled.
The Surrounding Area:
1) Lots of nice uncrowded beaches,
2) Plenty of interesting places to visit,
3) Spain is a short journey over a bridge, but prices higher than in Portigual except for petrol,
4) Plenty of restaurants with nice food and good value.
General:
1) Easy access to the motorway to and from the accommodation,
2) Faro airport is about 40 minutes, taking it easy, by car,
3) The estate agents office staff were very helpful, we mostly delt with Sarah who is English and somtimes with Paula who is Portugise, but she speaks very good English.
4) We would recomend this property for able bodied parties and families, but not, in our opinion, for families with young children or for the not so able as the stairs are quite steep and the rise to going ratio is different than in the UK, which can be disconcerting until you get used to it.
