My comments on 4 The Lodge

S and H Cheshire
Review Submitted: September 13, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
The apartment was very good, immaculately clean, with comfy settee and chairs.

The kitchen was very well equipped, with all types of cleaning materials, so there is no need to take anything with you.. Lots and lots of coathangers in the wardrobe, (do not take any).

The whole apartment was warm, cosy, very quiet (wonderful) and the hotel next door was excellent for food, as was the Glover Arms.

The only negative comment I would make is the complete lack of storage facilities in the bathroom (i.e. shelving) to place one's shampoo, deodorant, toothbrush/paste, face cream etc. These had to be stored in the bedroom and had to be carried through each time to use. The towels were white, large and soft, and the shower very easy to use, as was the microwave etc.

Also, although it was completely quiet, it was so near the motorways for Perth, Dundee, Inverness, Glasgow/Edinburgh which proved such an asset to us as we had to go to most of these places

A 24 hour Tesco was just across the round-about going towards Inverness and although we ate out for our main meals, this was very useful for fresh milk, bread etc.

All is all we feel we made a very choice of accommodation for our business/pleasure trip to Scotland.

We spent a wonderful (though very humid) week in Perthshire. The apartment is great, very comfy and conveniently equipped. The location is great for exploring Perthshire, St. Andrews, Pitlochry and many more !

Would love to come back !

We had a very relaxing and comfortable stay in this cosy apartment.
Major bonus for us was the ease of getting out for walks straight from the door.
Amanda was very accommodating of us for our short stay, and was happy to answer all questions to make our visit as straightforward as possible.
If we were to come back to this area, would definitely consider again.

We really enjoyed our holiday late spring. Amanda, was excellent in all our dealings and the apartment was very much as per information given. There is an endless amount of activities in Perthshire and the surrounding areas. It is very helpful to have a car , but is not a must. The Tesco around the corner was helpful but recommend also the local butchers (Simon Howie's in Perth city center) and other local produce/farm shops in the area.
Amanda, gave us tips on where to go and what to do.

Two perfect weeks spent at Amanda's very clean, warm, comfortable flat. Everything thoutfully provided. A perfect base for shopping in Perth and exploring magnificent Perthshire. No traffic noise (which was a bonus) making it peaceful at any time of the day. P. & M. Ayrshire.

This apartment is very tastefully and comfortably furnished. It provides an ideal base for exploring the surrounding countryside and yet is not too far from amenities. We found it an excellant base for golfing (St Andrews), walking and cycling.
The apartment is in a quiet area. The apartment was immaculately clean and well maintained. Most of the fittings and furnishings were new.
The only minor gripe was the electric cooker which took some getting used to. (We are used to the immediate response of gas!)
The owner was friendly and made herself readily available for any problems- though there were none.

Perfect cosy retreat in beautiful surroundings. The owner Amanda was very helpful in assisting with ideas for our stay. The property was perfect for the three of us with plenty of space and all the mod cons you could need....and nice and warm after walks / trips around Perthshire. There is a lovely walk right from the property past the hotel (obvious pitstop) down by the River Almond. Tesco's is but two minutes drive for all catering needs and the Glover Arms is a similar distance for good pub food. Excellent access to A9 north and south within a couple of minutes.
We would certainly recommend this property looking for a cosy retreat, while having easy access to explore bonnie Perthshire.

We had a fantastic holiday, the appartment is lovely, with great facilities and very comfortable, very clean and well maintained.
The location is great - close to everything you need - restaurants, supermarket, activities etc. whilst the appartment itself is tucked away in beautiful surroundings, lovely places to go walking. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful views from the windows first thing in the morning!
It was a wonderful way to relax and chill out.
