Another week in paradise... Yes please!

From the moment my party and I were picked up from the airport by Eddie we knew that it was going to be a great holiday.

Upon arrival at 61 Iris we were greeted by a lovely welcome pack and perhaps the most spotless house any of us had seen!

There was ample room within the house so that all of us could have that little bit of space but at the same time weren't distant.
We're quite gutted that we didn't use the kitchen actually but the allure of the countless top-notch restaurants in Playa Blanca was just too much for us to resist.

The pool area was very well maintained and the permanent residents of the community made us feel very welcome.

As for the weather... Incredible!
With each day hotter than the last, the lot of us managed to get a nice set of tans although you'd have to wonder how when half of the party spent their time huddled around the PS2! (Just ask Angie and Eddie and they can lend you games for it).

The best part of the holiday wasn't the pristine house, the glorious weather, the fantastic environment or the array of quality cuisine... It was the customer service, Angie and Eddie were there to help whenever possible.
We loved Playa Blanca and absolutely adored number 61 Iris, each of us are now busily saving up in the hope that we can come out again next summer!
We've recommended the place to all of our relatives as the perfect chill out destination... No loud noises, no super commercialised centres, just a tranquil town surrounded by the sea!

Thanks a lot and hope to see you again soon!!!

Lovely Time - had by all

Review Submitted: August 17, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2008
We spent 2 weeks in the school holidays here - Angie and Eddie were great and nothing was too much trouble (thanks for the use of the disney collection)! The accomodation was fantastic - loads of room for our party of 6, really clean with everything you need including washing machine and a space to hang all your washing. Pool was relaxed with no restrictions on when you could swim, which is great if you fancy a swim after dark.
The marina is a short walk (10/15minutes) where there are good restaurants and shops (the market twice a week is great). The beach is a little longer but fun when you get there - my boys loved it, particularly the flyfish and banana boat and there is also snorkelling. We would definitely like to go back.

We booked a very late flight to lanzarote then we had to search for accomadation, the help that we got from eddie and angie was fantastic
the villa was spotless and the information that was given was great
the complex is so clean and relaxing the short walk to the marina was great we cannot thank you both for a wonderfull holiday and as you both know we have booked again for next year
we have alreay told family & friends about our amazing time
at 61 iris we would not recomend a car if you want to just stay in playa blanca as there is a bus that runs every 15 mins from the top of the road
Angie & eddie can arrange airport transfers for you as they did for us and if you do require a car there are plenty of car hire places that you can go to in playablanca if you want to go further afield on your holidays
once again thankyou for a wonderfull holiday

Very lucky chance

We came across 61 Iris in November 2008 quite by chance, having stayed nearer the centre of Playa Blanca for several years but not finding a suitable place for February 2009 we started to look further afield. And we are very pleased that we did chance across it.

‘Residencial Iris Fase 2’ is in Papagayo. It comprises 41 ‘town houses’ around three sides of a beautifully maintained central area which has a decent sized swimming pool and sunbathing area surrounded by interesting gardens. It is very close to the coast, being almost front line, on top of a cliff. That’s about a 30-seconds’ walk from one end of the Residencial, and a minute from 61. In this position there is a very good sea view, particularly from a veranda at the front which is ideal for those mid-morning ‘elevenses’. And being perhaps 100 feet above sea level, that view extends quite a way.

At first, it looked as if this Residencial would be too far from shops and other services; in fact it isn’t. There is a very comprehensive supermarket within about 500 metres, and Marina Rubicon (the up-market end of Playa Blanca), with a wide variety of shops, a market, a mall and restaurants, cafes and bars is a pleasant 10-minute stroll away, either via the seafront promenade or by road. There is also a b half-hourly bus service to Playa Blanca and the lighthouse and urbanisations at Faro.

61 had everything we needed. A downstairs bedroom meant that it is suitable for anyone unable to use stairs – or too lazy as we are, to climb them! To the rear is a very private, enclosed and not overlooked, solana for sunbathing.

Eddie and Angie are an energetic, friendly and helpful couple. As owners of 61, they look after it well and take care of their guests. They live about half a mile away and are around if needed, but don’t intrude when they aren’t.

We spend two months in Lanzarote each year. It looks now as if those months will be in 61 Iris in future as it ticks all of our boxes.

We can really recommend 61 Iris for a quiet, peaceful holiday away from the madding crowd. But please don’t tell too many people; if it gets too popular, 61 might not be available when we want to come.

We have now been to this complex three times and find it excellent, the accommodation is second to none and Eddie and Angie are really helpful, complex is very well maintained and very clean. All the amenities are within a short walking distance from the complex and eating out is really good, if longer walks are your thing a stroll to the other end of Playa Blanca can be anything from 1.5 hours to 2,5 hours depending on stops for drinks etc. This is a residential complex and as such is very peaceful and quiet and very safe for children, we would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation to anybody and we hope to be back again.

Superb property = great holiday

We stayed from 10th Aug to 21st Aug 2008, the property has everything you could wish for, the pool area is clean and well maintained, you can easily view the pool from the house which is great for keeping an eye on the kids.
The marina which has several good restaurants is only a 10min walk, in the opposite direction you can walk to the great papagayo beaches in approx 20-25 mins. We would certainly recommend this property and would like to return ourselves.
