Thank you for a lovely villa

Review Submitted: May 21, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We have had a wonderful week, thank you.The weather was really good and got better day by day so we didn’t venture very far, we just stayed by the pool and enjoyed the tranquillity and beauty of the surroundings and garden. The villa was very comfortable and felt like home straight away.
The restaurants we tried were really good. We can definately vouch for Venta La Parra in Alcaucin where we had a super lunch, which at 12euros was really good value, and such a friendly welcome too.

We have used quite a few different villas over the past few years and Villa Rosa is the only villa that we have felt we would like to visit again, so all being well we hope we will be able to contact you next year.

Many thanks again.

.
Owner's Response: We thank S & A for their lovely comments about our home and very much hope that they do return again soon.
We are especially pleased that they noted our nearest restaurant (Venta) La Parra which is about a three minute drive up the hill towards the village and a firm favourite with our guests and ourselves.

The Wow Factor

Review Submitted: September 28, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We recently returned from our second trip to Casa Rosa, the first being 3 years earlier. It certainly hasn't lost any of the charm or magic that I remember from our previous stay. We haven't managed to find any other place that helps us unwind so much so early into a holiday. The photo's, stunning as they are, do not do the place justice. The views from the pool and terrace truly are breathtaking.

The surrounding area is superb and the locals are all very friendly towards children. We tried out several of the restaurants recommended in the helpful information left by the owners and they were all fantastic. I would never have thought to have an indian meal in Spain before but I cannot recommend it highly enough.

The owners certainly know how to make their guests comfortable. All the little touches they have added make the villa feel more like a home than a holiday rental. Just about everything you can think of has been provided (and a lot more besides).

Our 10 year old boy really enjoyed the use of the pool and the peace and tranquillity of the holiday as well, although I do recommend having some day trips if you have children. The nearby water park is very clean and the beaches which are a short drive away are lovely.

We are certainly looking forward to booking up holiday number 3 at Casa Rosa - thank you so much for a wonderful holiday!
Owner's Response: We are always happy when our guests take the time to write a review - especially one as glowing as this.
Many thanks to L,H & K for the nice comments and glad they enjoyed their second visit.
Several of our guests have returned for more than 3 visits, they get to know and enjoy the area at different times of the year and like the friendliness of the local people.
Often they comment
"Casa Rosa simply draws us back"!

La Casa Rosa

Raimondo Chatham, Kent, UK
Review Submitted: April 2, 2009 Date of Stay: January 2009
This is our fifth visit to the the beautiful Casa Rosa, always for two months and always at winter/spring time. The most obvious attraction for us is the properties quiet and peaceful rural setting and the superb garden and outside leisure areas surrounding the house. If the weather becomes less than kind, which it can in the winter, then this superbly equipped house has every modern convenience at your disposal ,just turn up the heat ,light the fire and enjoy yourself !
It's lovely living on the hillside with just birdsong for company but if you venture out a bit further there are some wonderful walks nearby and and a large range of really good restaurants and bars which should be sampled and some very friendly people witing to serve you !
All in all it would be almost impossible to beat the Casa Rosa in all respects and I can't recommend it highly enough. Just don't book it for winter /spring 2010 because I want to be there !
Owner's Response: Many thanks to Raimondo for this splendid review; - As he said, he and his wife have recently ended their fifth stay at our house which speaks volumes. We think they like it there almost as much as we do and hope they will be returning for many years to come.

We wanted to tell you that we had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our week in Spain.
Casa Rosa is a wonderful place to relax, sit by the pool and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the mild Spanish autumn. Just what we were looking for.
We enjoyed seven (mostly sunny) days; - and the garden really is a highlight (incl. pomengranites fresh from the tree!)
We'd deffinitely like to visit again.
Kind regards
R&N
Owner's Response: We are so pleased that our first guests from Germany enjoyed their stay at Casa Rosa and certainly hope that they will return some time in the future.

Casa Rosa

T & G Windsor, Berkshire
Review Submitted: October 19, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
We have already had two wonderful holidays at Casa Rosa and we love it so much we made sure of getting our “third fix” (for three weeks) by booking extremely early for 2009. This probably tells you how delighted we are with both the villa and the location. It is tranquility personified. The villa, the scenery and the surrounding area are all stunning. We would highly recommend Casa Rosa to all those seeking an idyllic place in the sun.
Owner's Response: We totally agree with the reviewers that our home is an idyllic place in the sun, and thank them for their support over the years - they first stayed with us in 2005 and we are so pleased to be welcoming them back for 2009.

Getting a flavour for the real Spain

Review Submitted: October 1, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
We expected Casa Rosa to be lovely, from all the photos on the web, but the reality is just so much more. The house has a wonderful atmoshere of calm & serenity, that one relaxes immediately. The house is extremely well equipped. Visitors want for nothing. The outside area of the pool, 2 terraces & the gardens are superb. There is so much room outside, you have excellent communal areas for wineing & dining, with a great built-in BBQ, but if you want a quiet moment to read your book or drink in the wonderful extensive views over the valleys, there is plenty of private areas to set up your deckchair. There are several villages near by where you can still see & experience Spain pre- Costas. The people are friendly & the food robust. I can't recommend Casa Rosa too highly.
Owner's Response: Wow ! thank you both, this is some review ! -
Interesting to note you have mentioned the size of our outside space which is so difficult to capture in a photo.
& also for a mention for our local villagers and neighbours who make this area so special.

Casa Rosa in the Rain

Marybg Romford,Essex
Review Submitted: October 1, 2008 Date of Stay: April 2008
Despite arriving in very un-Spanish torrential rain Casa Rosa proved a cosy retreat. With plenty of heating everywhere our worries of a cold stay were unfounded and the sun soon came out anyway. Local restaurants were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our trips to Granada, Comares & Antequera. We really enjoyed our stay and can certainly recommend Casa Rosa for an out of season break.
Owner's Response: Sometimes, the weather is not so good here too, but usually not for very long, and as they have said; lots to do and see as well as take in the sun.....thank you
