We had a fab holiday in August!!

Casa Aries is a lovely villa offering everything you need for a peacefull relaxing holiday in the Algarve. We had a fantastic time in August staying with our 4 children aging from 18 months - 6 years.I would recommend this villa to anyone considering a trip to the Algarve as it's location is well placed for enjoying the surrounding areas (for those who like to get away from the main tourist hot spots) whilst various clubs, bars and night life are only a ten minute drive away.We will definatly be visiting again.

Casa Aries..just our secret!!

My family have been to this villa 2 years running and are really disappointed not to be going this year!
Booking was easy and reassuring, and our requirements were met with no problems. Paul even helped us to arrange car hire at reduced rates!
The journey from Faro airport is less than an hour, and the directions to the villa are clear to follow. The vila itself is in a lovely quiet position, on a private estate, so no passing traffic (ideal with small children) and the private pool and gardens are maintained during your stay by a a lovely chap! The villa's housekeeper Manuella was very helpful and pleasant when she visited, and maintained a high level of cleanliness and made our stay homely. Should we have had any problems with the villa, we also had access to an english couple who could help us out. The villa is very spacious and cool, and family orientated. There is a utility room with washing machine and the kitchen has both a cooker and microwave, although we mainly used the charcoal bar b que outside,(at the time of our stay, meat was cheaper and of better quality than here at home!) There is back door and patio door access to the poolside, but this is no problem should you have young children as both can be secured. And if like us, you dont want small children climbing the marble staircase to the first floor (especially when wet from swimming), you have the option of using the 2 ground floor bedrooms and showeroom.
The villa is situated on top of a mount, and although you can walk down hill to the bay of carveiro, its advisable to have a car, as walking back would/could prove more challenging! The sandy beach is lovely and has a plaza with restaurants/ refreshments, and toilets nearby. On most evenings they have musical entertainment there and it has a nice atmosphere. The local shops catered for all our needs, but the Hypermarche was used the most as parking was no problem. In high season, Carveiro gets very busy, and parking like anywhere in summer, proves more challenging, however if you are able to walk short distances you should not have a problem.
For a perfect day out you must visit Zoo Marine! If you dont drive, you can arrange for someone to drive you there and back (details in villa). Very good value for money, dolphin and sealion shows, and a fairground and water park which is all included in the entry price!
As you can see we had a fab time, and wish we could keep it a secret so it doesnt get too popular! Have fun!

Casa Aries

As a family with 2 teenage sons and a 10 yr old daughter, finding the right balance for holiday destination is always difficult. However, Casa Aries suited our needs perfectly. The villa is situated in a quiet street but is within easy walking distance of the Carvoeiro Club and all the amenities that it has to offer (including tennis courts, swimming pools, bars etc). Our boys were perfectly content to frequent the club most days but were also happing walking to Carvoeiro itself for the beach and shops. Meanwhile, the rest of us had a fantastic time relaxing at the villa and enjoying the secluded pool and patio area with its built in barbeque. Internally, the villa is spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean with 3 bathrooms, large living room, well equipped kitchen and the master bedroom has its own private balcony! We would recommend that visitors hire a car as, whilst there is enough to keep you occupied in the immediate vicinty, the broader area has so much to offer in terms of beautiful beaches, quaint fishing ports, breathtaking scenery and numerous golf courses. The transfer from Faro airport was quick and painless and the locals are friendly and accomodating. All in all, we enjoyed a perfect holiday at Casa Aries and will definitely be returning next year!

Lovely first time in the Algarve

The description was very accurate, the property spotlessly clean, the facilities extensive and very comfortable (we were two couples), the setting peaceful and attractive, the terrace and pool very attractive. We were well supported by the manager although only one query required during our stay. The kitchen was largely very well equipped (we would have liked a baking tray and a cafetiere!). Also have found some odds and ends (eg vinegar, sauce, herbs) for cooking useful in other vilas we have used. We misunderstood about hairdryer: we thought that one was provided.
The neighbourhood consists of other splendid villas, many very large, rather than local Portuguese residents. Be brave and follow the footpaths between the villas to the cliff tops and you will have lovely walks along the stunning cliffs and bays.
We can strongly recommend this property for a restful and very comforatble holiday, with good restaurants inland, at Silves and Lux, and the fado music of Silves was very much worth the jouney. We were less impressed with Carvoiero. The property is near to very good road connections throughout the Algarve.

The directions to the villa were good from Faro airport & we found the villa easy to find, the maid came every day to clean & tidy, she gives a good service
The weather was so good it allowed us to live out beside the pool which is very secluded & we had a great week, a car is essential to get around & see the sights. Great holiday hope to be back

We had a wonderful week at Casa Aries in the Algarve . A lovely private location . We were 4 adults and a teenager and we found the area just great . The villa was kept spotless by such a nice maid . I would recommend a car to visit the village and beaches etc , but we found great restaurants within walking distance. Superb,we will be back .

Casa Aries

Review Submitted: April 28, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2008
We visited Casa Aries in July 2008. The villa is located in a very quiet lane in the Carvoeiro Clube. It is a 5 minute walk to the Carvoeiro Tennis Club and Gym, which was excellent for our two teenage children. Otherwise, a car is necessary to visit the beaches and restaurants in and around Carvoeiro.
The kitchen was fully equipped and there was plenty of seating outside and in. The downstairs bedrooms were not as appealing as the upstairs ones and the pool was much smaller than appears in the photograph.
However, the villa is well situated and there are some wonderful restaurants nearby (Bon Bons, near the water tower, and La Sueste by the harbour in Ferragudo, which is a must at sunset).
The maid was lovely and kept the villa very clean. The Intermarche is not far by car and there is everything you want there as far as food and drink goes.
This was our fourth visit to Carvoeiro and I would return to this area again.

Nice villa in a quiet area privately isolated. We were two families with children looking for a place to have a rest - and that fitted us perfectly. Small fishermen town of Ferragudo is just 10 minutes away, bigger town Portimao or port Lagos are half an hour distance for those who seek adventures. Mode of transportation is a must to reach prayas (beaches). To my opinion quality wise you have what you pay and this is rare nowadays. Many thanks to owners.

I booked the villa for my husband and I and a group of 6 friends as a very last minute thing ,We found the property very easy to get to from Faro as the directions were good ,we did hire cars from the airport and It is recommended some form of transport will be needed, but saying that we had a very pleasant and peaceful stay at Casaaries ,its only a 5 mins drive into carvoeiro, where called into every day for a few beers after we had been on adventures all over the place, then retired early for drinks and barbecue by the pool. Most enjoyable holiday

My family and I had a great time at Casa Aries. Ita a quiet location and many balmy evenings were enjoyed around the lovely pool. I recommend a car as it's a bit of a walk to Carvoiero. Enjoy!
