We arrived at Varenna train station and were met by Marilena who took us to Camilla house. We could not belive our luck when we arrived it was beautifully furnished and tasefully decorated in a typical Italian style. All the appliances were upto date including a large wide screen television (with satalitte) and there was everything that you could possibly need (coffee makers were very welcome). The appartment was extremely clean and well maintained as well.The view over Lake Como was stunning and we spent most evenings watching the sun go down over the mountains and lake before going into Varenna for dinner at the many of the superb restaraunts. we also spent some time going around the lake by car and the ferries visiting the many little towns around the lake. I would like to finish off by saying that Marilena is a lovely lady and made us very welcome nothing was to much trouble for her, and she very kindly INSISTED that she take us back to the station on our reluctant return journey. We can wait to go back again. See you next year Marilena.

Staying here at Camilla for the week was one of the best decision we had made in our many travels.The apartment was very clean ,comfortable and relaxing, nothing is missing. All the owner did was for us unbelievable and we will return next year. We will stay in touch ,e-mail makes the distance between us and varenna/fiumelatte ever so close.Even though there was a set of trucks between the apartment and the lake for the local commuter train, we hardly noticed the noise, the last one we ever heard was at 10.00 pm.and it only enhanced the silent ambience.The owner is a very special person we've never been treated so well on holiday.Arrivederci!

We thank you for the gracious hospitality. We miss the lakeviews from the large windows.It was so well equipped with everything we could possibly want or need. It is perfect!We had an amazing time here, Varenna is so beautiful , we would like to return and stay with you once again.

We enjoyed our days at this apartment and had a wonderful time, one thing alone it worth staying there ,the incredible lakeviews from the large windows from floor to ceiling we saw every morning and night out those big windows, we could not believe we were so fortunate to have found it. It was the prefect place to celebrate our anniversary, the apartment was spotless and homelike with everything we needed. We enjoyed the beautiful walk into town, the central garage in the port is wonderful for anyone who has a car.A thousand thanks for all your kindness and the help you were so willing to give us to show restaurants, shops and ferries.

Very clean, very well-equipped and comfortable apartment with wonderful lakeviews from both the living room and the bedroom. Marilena, the apartment owner was very helpful and always available and clearly thought of everything a traveller might want including satellite TV, a washing machine, and a fully-equipped kitchen. There was plenty of space for two couples for the week and the lakeviews gave an even greater sense of space. A private parking space for our car was provided both on the property and also in the center of Varenna by the owner. However, on some days we chose to follow the path just below the apartment which follows along the lake from above and then leads you down to the charming town of Fiumelatte and then along the lake (and the lovely Villa Monastero gardens) to the center of Varenna. Varenna, by the way is magically beautiful as were many of the places around the lake that we were able to discover using Varenna as our launching pad to catch boats, trains, etc. I highly recommend this apartment and seeing this village on Lake Como.
