A gem of a place in a wonderful location

New Zealand gals Wellington, New Zealand
Review Submitted: October 22, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
Four days stay in this lovely roomy, well equipped apartment was divine despite the unseasonally cold, wet weather! The apartment is central to many beautiful and interesting islands, the peninsula and close enough for an easy drive to Dubrovnik.

The information provided by the owners for exploring the surrounding areas was excellent. The apartment had everything you could possibly need for a very comfortable stay.

The perfect apartment to visit south Croatia

Review Submitted: July 11, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
We stayed for 5 nights.

The appartment has a great balcony with a marvellous sight over the adriatic sea.
Komarna is a small fishing town, very calm, and you can go to the beach directly from the appartment, in 30 seconds.
all in the appartment is brand new, from the air conditionning device to every spoon.

The owners are very friendly They prepared a great dinner for us in our first night.

Komarna is well situated to visit the islands and Dubrovnik, and not far form the main villages in Peljesac peninsula.

Great stay, we're already planning to go back again.

Apartmaji "Mile" Komarna

Mitja Cerkno, Slovenija
Review Submitted: March 4, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2008
Že nekaj let zapored z ženo dopuste preživljava v Komarni pri "Miletu". Oba sva nadvse zadovoljna s ponudbo.

The perfect sea-side apartments

Safricanholidaymakers Johannesburg, South Africa
Review Submitted: January 8, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2008
We stayed at Villa Dorida for 2 nights in July 2007. The apartments had only just been completed and we believe that we were the first to stay there! Even then, in its early stages, we were impressed by the level of accommodation provided. The spacious apartments offer everything one would need for an excellent sea-side holiday. The beautiful, calm waters of the Peljesac peninsula are literally 20 private steps away. The apartments are clean, well-furnished and very modern. In addition, the hosts could not be more friendly and accommodating and we can give a personal guarantee that they will be more than willing to help you with any problems you may experience. The hosts were able to understand a fair amount of English and we found the whole Komarna community very friendly and accommodating. In addition, the Croatian coastline offers endless holiday sight-seeing and adventure opportunities. As South Africans, we loved our entire experience at Villa Dorida.

Croatia vacation 2008

My family and I rented apartment "Mile" at the Villa Dorida between June 7th and 21st, 2008. One of the most rewarding things about this place is the breathtaking views from the balcony - blueness of the Adriatic sea -magnificent!. You can spend hours on the balcony and never get bored. The apartment is new and spacious. The place was kept clean and tidy by the owners. We found the owners very friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure chatting with them. The sea was right at our doorstep and we found it great to wake up and run down for a morning swim. The village is perfectly located for exploring the region. The car is essential.

Komarna Holidays, summer 2008

FrancescoG Istria, Croatia
Review Submitted: November 23, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
We (my girlfriend an I) spent our last vacation in Komarna, at Villa Dorida. The accommodation was great. The villa is brand new (the first year of operation!). Apartment has a large balcony. The view is beautiful and the sunsets are unforgettable (don't miss it!). The owners are very nice and warm people. Local couple in their fifties. They made great fish BBQ for us.

Although the beach in front of the house is not a great one, the sea is very clean. We spent lots of time swimming and just sunbathing. There is a pebble beach just 300 m away from the house.

A great local restaurant (it is actually just a little place run by the local family, so don't expect anything fancy) is just two houses away from villa Dorida. The food is excellent (mostly sea food - fresh from the sea!).

The car is essential. Fortunately, we did have one, and we were able to see around. We visited Dubrovnik (only 1 hour drive), Ston (great seafood and remarkable fortification ruins) and Mostar (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
