A great house in a truly stunning location.Views over the bay are delightful in all weathers. The area has much to see and do , but the house , garden, bay and Kyaks kept us more than entertained.Glengarriff is a pleasant place to explore with many walks in and around the village. All six of us had wonderful time and are making plans to return , many thanks to Brendan .

Stunning property in superb location

DVP Dublin, Ireland
Review Submitted: August 14, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
The photographs of this property speak for themselves. They certainly give an accurate impression of what's in store on entering the property and admiring the surroundings. However, the extra touches made it particulaly special - a great selection of games, DVDs and videos for the odd rainy day - and particularly use of the two 2-man Kyaks. With life jackets provided, we had great fun with the kids racing round the harbour. Along with the trampoline, we didn't have any problem keeping them entertained when we wren't out exploring the scenic and gastronomic delights of the West Cork peninsulas.

A Holiday Home for Great Memories

WB 11 Lake George, NY USA
Review Submitted: June 20, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
This wonderful home enabled eight adults and our daughter (8 yrs old) to have a relaxing holiday in the Southwest of Ireland. Breakfast was an event every morning. I can still hear the laughter that filled the kitchen and w/ room for all of us. Then to walk out onto the patio and look out on Bantry Bay coffee in hand. The ages of our group ran from 8 to 55. Our nephews 21 & 25 (w/ fiance & girlfriend) had the time of their lives at the house. The house is ideally situated for trips to Dingle Peninsula, Ring of Kerry, Beara Peninsula, Mizen Head, Kenmare and The Lakes of Killarney. Stop in at Molly Gallivan's on the Kenmare Rd (N71) for tea and a wonderful view across the valley to the highest peak "Barra-Bui". After a full day out it was nice to come home to such a welcoming atmosphere. The bedrooms are extremely comfortable and private. There is plenty of room for all. We also made use of the house as a central location to leave our bags and explore further north and stay in B & B's for a night. You get a great rate when you stop in and have the flexibility to negotiate the price. There are some real gems out there. Our family stayed for 10 days and did not want to leave. Thank you for a letting us stay in your home and enabling us to have a wonderful holiday filled w/ memories that we will cherish.

This house is absolutely beautiful everyone in our group was stunned when we opened the doors to this spacious, immaculate and wonderful house will amazing views. This house really made our holiday we just wish we had put aside another week just to spend the time lazing around the place... really it is worth it!
The host is very friendly and was very helpful in showing us around and how everything worked.
I would definitly recommend this place to anyone going to stay in Cork.

Wonderful week in Glengariff

This is a wonderful property for a family holiday. The quality of the accommodation is first class yet it has a homely feel to it. With outstanding views across the bay with its amazing wildlife it is located less than 90 minutes from Cork airport and is ideal for seeing the beauty of west Cork and Kerry. We had a great week and we all wanted to stay on.

The house was amazing and comfortable. While we were only 2, I can see how several couples or event 2 families could really appreciate the space. The kichen was magnificent and a pleasant surprise. Our only regret was that we spend so much time touring southern Ireland we didn' spend more time at this magnificent home!

We had a fantastic time staying in this property. The description on the web site can't do the house and location justice because they are so good. The quality of the accomodation is the best I have come across in rental properties and the views out over the sea are amazing. I could not recommend this place more.

Glengarriff house

Reegs London UK
Review Submitted: May 9, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
What a fantastic house. Huge, beautifully appointed house in wonderful location. Great kitchen, huge bedrooms and bathrooms. Kids really enjoyed played "hide and seek" within the house. Wonderful, wonderful water views - great to have meals sitting overlooking the water, watching the seals enjoy themselves. Glengarriff is a great town, everything you need, plenty of pubs and places to eat. From the house, we explored Garnish Island, Bantry, kissed the Blarney Stone, drove the Ring of Kerry and ate at both Killarney and Kenmare. A truly fantastic base from which to explore the local area. Very highly recommend it.

Oh my gosh! We had such a wonderful time at your home. Beautiful. Thanks so much. Your home was perfect for our group of seven. Four large lovely bedrooms, each with a bathroom. Additional bathroom in the beautiful front entrance foyer. We enjoyed watching the seals from the sunroom/living room and the village is lovely. This home is centrally located in the southwest of Ireland on the harbour at the start of the Beara Peninsula. We travelled one day to Dingle Peninsula, one day to Ring of Kerry, one day to Blarney Castle, and one day to Mizen Head (my favorite).
