Excellent Holiday at The Coach House

annie7uk Northwood (Greater London)
Review Submitted: October 13, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
The Coach House was a perfect holiday getaway. It was a beautifully furnished home with fantastic boutique hotel style bedrooms. There was plenty of space in the roomy cottage which was well laid out with a romantic garden with pond. There was even a barbeque which we made full use of, and very much enjoyed. It was a well equiped home and in wonderful clean condition. A lot of thought had gone into this holiday home. There was even Wifi access.

The owners were so friendly and were always available if you needed them. Elizabeth and Hue (the owners) made you feel like the place was your own home and we were made to feel very welcome indeed! We were very sad to leave.

Ayr beach is a blue flag beach and is less than 10 minutes walk away. It has a wonderful adventure play ground 'Pirate Petes' which is amazing for children.
Ayrshire has many prestigious golf courses all within easy access from The Coach House.
Ayr town itself is about 15 minutes walk from The Coach House with cinema, shops, restaurants and bars.
All in all, this was much more than we had expected and we had a lovely, relaxing and happy holiday!

Great house in the center of

Dave from NJ New Jersey
Review Submitted: October 9, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2008
My friends and I sepend 5 night at the Coach house this past September. We were amazed at the quality of the property and the great location in the middle of some of the best golf in Scotland. We played most of the west coat's great courses and never traveled more than 20 min. to get to any of them.

The house itself is situated in a great old neighborhood. While the stone structure had great character, there were modern upgrades throughout for comfort and class. We couldn't have asked for a better place!! Nearby, the down town offered greeat local pubs and places to dine. Our faborite was the Treehouse.

I would highly recommend the Coach house for you next visist to Scotland's west coast.

This property is truly stunning and well presented. The furnishings are top quality and the bedrooms are really something special. The living accomodation is spacious and homely; the kitchen well fitted with plenty of crockery, utensils etc.
The property is within walking distance of Ayr town centre though we did not spend much time in the town due to our other plans; beautiful Ayr beach is also within walking distance of the house (there's an amazing children's playground by the beach which was a great hit with our sons!)
The owners were extremely friendly, helpful and accomodating.
All round a SUPER DUPER property which we were sad to leave! Would highly recommend this property to families, golfers, couples for a romantic get away.

Great Stay - I'd recommend it to anyone

Stayed for a long weekend recently with a group of 6 (8 the first night which was not planned but no problem to the owners). Lots of space for us all to get ready and not to be bumping into each other. First class accommodation with spotless, comfy beds. Ten minutes walk to lots of bars and restaurants and the beach. We'll definitely be back and recommend it to anyone. Great if you're going to a wedding at the Brig a doon hotel as its five minutes by car. Owners are nearby if you need any advice or if (unlikely) you have any problems.

A wonderful property - homely, well decorated, comfortable and clean, well maintained, perfect location for exploring the surrounding areas in the south and for popping into the centre of Ayr.

Wonderful, gracious and friendly owner who went the extra mile to see we had comfort and enjoyed our stay. Will be back here as soon as possible and would recommend it highly.

Relaxing holiday

Review Submitted: September 19, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
The Coach House is a large and comfortable house ideally situated for golf and fishing enthusiasts, being only a short drive from numerous golf courses, rivers and fisheries.

The rear garden is very quiet and relaxing. You can even bbq when it's raining!

The town centre is only a 15 minute stroll away and the nearest supermarket is less than 5 minutes by car.

We would recommend this property to anyone who is looking to stay in this area.

A beautiful place to stay clean and comfortable and well maintained. The location is central and we were able to walk to the town and beach. Very helpful and friendly owners, the off street parking was great.

We are just back from Ayre, the property was all it said it was. Beautifully presented, comfy and bright. Liz made us very welcome. Property near (less than 5 minutes by car) a fantastic flat, clean, sandy beach which also has lovely veiws of Arron. Ideal for walkers and golfers. I picked it so my older teenagers could walk into town or the beach. Not a great variety of places to eat apart from hotels but otherwise really convient for everything else. We would recommend it to friends and go again.

Outstanding holiday cottage - ideal break!

Harkiran Sheffield, UK
Review Submitted: August 7, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
This was our first UK holiday with our baby and we could not have picked a more outstanding location or cottage. We had a long drive to do and arrived late but the owners could not be more accommodating - they happily showed us around and helped us to unpack - much appreciated with a 10 month old baby!
The cottage was fantastic - loads of space and everything we could have wanted including ducks in the pond!! It was clean and brilliantly maintained.
A fantastic location to explore the area and not far from Troon where we were attending a wedding.
If we are visiting the area again this will be my first choice - thanks again.

Me and my family had a great week away.
The family that lived next door was very welcoming and whenever we had enquiries about the town or anywere to go during the day or night, they was very helpful.
You didnt need a car to get to places everything was just a walks distance, and my dogs loved the private garden at the rear of the house.
The house was very comfortable to live in, and we coudnt help but make ourselfs at home.
We will definitlely be returning to the place sometime.
