Luxury villa and superb holiday

HWCH Taunton,Somerset
Review Submitted: November 7, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
This is a quiet , luxurious, comfortable Villa in a gorgeous location away from it all.
The Villa was big and clean and had EVEYTHING you need for a totally stress free holiday. Having the beach towels provided was a nice bonus too.
Mike had thought of everything and so all we had to do was arrive and sit back and relax.
When we arrived we had food in the fridge and a bottle of bubbly and a much needed cup of tea/coffee all ready for when we got there.
Mike lives near by and was extremely friendly and helpful so it was peace of mind if we needed anything.
The nearest resort was Peurto del Carmen which had many bars and restaurants and shops and a huge beach but we also found a lovely Marina just before going into the town which was quiet but had some lovely bars etc... and fish that swim up and you can feed which my two year old loved. But you will need a car as these places are about a 10 - 15 minute drive away.
We loved this place and would definately go back and recommend to friends.

Tolle Ferienunterkunft

Review Submitted: September 13, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009

Excellent Holiday Villa

We arrived on 24.08.2009 (4 adults, 2 children) at night on Casa Maja. Mike, the owner who lives next door, has cooked a paella for us (very pretty!). The villa is exactly like the description and the pictures. We spent excellent holidays there and would come everytime again to Casa Maja.

Peaceful seclusion

Review Submitted: August 27, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
Villa well described .It was very clean and exceedingly well equipped ,It was in a quiet away from it all area giving peace and tranquility and yet handy to access any part of this holiday island.

External patio and large pool make this an ideal place to recharge batteries or just simply relax .

A very warm friendly welcome was provided by the owner Mike who whilst living nearby maintains a discreet distance yet is available if you need to refer in event of any problem.

Would have no hesitation in recommending villa to friends and hope to return in the future.

Casa Maja

Review Submitted: August 16, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
The description of the villa was entirely accurate. The property was very clean and very obviously well maintained. The owner lives on site and was helpful with any queries we had. The welcome pack was the best we have recieved on any of the 4 foriegn holidays we have taken. The owner also took plenty of time to welcome us and show us around which was very welcome and is something that we have not experienced before.
I would not hesitate to recommend the property to a friend.
I can not think of anything about our holiday we did not like although of course we had preferences. A lovely property and very enjoyable holiday.

Casa Maja - Steve & Gail Lancashire

Review Submitted: August 7, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
Casa Maja is built in a traditional style, we found the villa spacious, clean and very well equipped. The welcome pack was a nice surprise. It has a good sized secluded pool with 2 sunny patio areas and a large balcony off the master bedroom, all equipped with garden furniture. Having three double bedrooms, all en suite, the villa would suit families or couples, we were lucky enough to have it all to ourselves! Situated just a 10 minute drive from the airport, though not on flight path, taxi 11 Euros. Car would be an advantage if planning site seeing, though not essential as good local taxi service, Peurto del Carmen 10 Euros each way. Tias is a short 15 minute walk, with a few local bars and well stocked supermarkets. Mike lives adjoining the villa, we found him very friendly and more than helpful but never intrusive. We certainy plan to return.

A real escape !

We have had many wonderful holidays at this delightful villa, both as a couple, and also as a family. It is ideally situated for driving to all parts of the island, and yet is private, with a secluded pool area. We have always been drawn back to the beautiful swimming pool, kept to a constant warm temperature for all year round swimming. The villa itself has a lot of character and feels like a real home from home rather than a holiday villa,

Our Casa Maja Experience

chelsie Devon, England
Review Submitted: May 6, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2008
We arrived at Casa Maja in the dark after a long and delayed flight. When we opened the door the lounge was bathed in candlelight and looked very homely and welcoming. The bedrooms were spacious and all had en-suites. We wanted somewhere central for exploring the Island but we also wanted to be comfortable and private. Casa Maja was exactly that. Mike called in occassionally to make sure we had everything we needed and that the electrically heated pool was kept clean and heated to our satisfaction. The kitchen is big and has more than enough pots, pans etc.if you decide to eat in. The town of Tias isn't very far away with plenty of shops and good places to eat.If you are looking for a comfortable, private, central place to stay to enjoy the Island then Casa Maja is the place for you.

Highly recommended villa

Review Submitted: May 1, 2009 Date of Stay: December 2008
Beautiful villa, larger than appeared from photographs, nicely furnished and very well equipped - a real home from home - with large private garden area (adjacent to pool) which would be ideal for children to run around and play when supervised. Clean and well looked after, even pool towels are provided. Ideal for two or even three couples sharing as two large separate patio areas each with table and chairs, and large living areas, so don't have to be falling over each other and all bedrooms en suite. There is also a huge balcony with sea and mountain views off the main bedroom upstairs. We found a car to be essential as no shops/bars close by to walk to unless you walk alongside a busy road with no pavement! In quiet area. Mike, the owner, lives in adjoining property on site but is not intrusive and is very helpful with any queries. Taxis into Puerto del Carmen cost up to 10 euros each way. Would recommend to anyone who wants to be away from the resort areas, but wants to be close enough to reach them easily by car.

Delighted to see Casa Maja available for rent once again, having spent three - two week holidays there in the past. The villa is wonderfully private, exceptionally well equipped, always clean and well maintained. The owner is always helpful and ensures smooth hassle free bookings. Would highly recommend to those wanting a peaceful location within easy reach of the local town and a short car ride from the main resorts. Excellent!!
