Great time,Great house........

We went to galway for the infamous Galway races & choose this property because of its location very close to the city & easy access for the Race track,& boy were we delighted with our choice,on our arrival in the city fergal met us & brought us directly to the house which was very handy. We found fergal to be a very welcoming host,The house itself is quite new, beautifully decorated with every conceivable facility one would require for a very enjoyable stay,it is located in a very nice & wonderfully landscaped private estate,Although we hired a car we did get the bus into the city center in the evenings when we were going out for a meal & a " Few Drinks "as there is an excellent bus service located a two or three minute walk from the house that brought us directly into the city center in ten minutes, which was great. There is a large shopping complex about a three minute drive from the house, with a local coffee shop, pharmacy, dvd store ect located within the estate there are a good few pubs, restaurants & two or three hotels/restaurants located nearby but we prefered to go to the city center where the craic (as they say in Ireland) really was that week.
All in all we had a great time at this lovely residence & will definately be returning next year.

Great holidays

Me and a couple of friends rented the house from 9.10 to 18.10 and it was absolutely great. It's a very calm neighbourhood and Spar and the busstation are really near to the house. By bus you're into the citycentre in maybe 15 minutes.
And the house is very beautiful, every room by itsself. My favourite place was the living room with the big tv and the amazing sound system :)
So all in all it was the best holidays i've ever had.

Good choice for families

Vangelis Athens, Greece
Review Submitted: October 3, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
First of all, I have to say that traveling from Athens to Galway took about 24 hours due to flight delays and due to the total distance. Fortunatelly, upon arrival at the house we had a nice surprise; it was of very good quality with every facility required, even better than appeared at the description. There was enough space for all of us (4 adults & 4 children) and we felt like home. The owner was very kind & discrete. The house is located in a quite neighborhood 6 km from the city & very close to grossery stores & super markets. There is a variety of traveling alternatives depending on how far one wants to go. The city of Galway is one of the prettiest cities in Irland, ideal for short walks, having a beer or something else. The only drawback was the continous rainfall in combination with strong wind and low temprature (you see, we are from Greece). I would strongly recommend this house and that destination for castle and greenfield admirers but not having a car is not an option.

Our family spent a week in co Galway tracing my wife's Irish ancestry & we were absolutely delighted with our choice of accommodation, this house is truly lovely, i have stayed in a lot of hotels throughout the world on business trips & this house is like a penthouse suite in terms of self catering accommodation, lovely decor, all the modern conveniences & me being a little on the larger side the huge comfy Sofas were a delight in the evenings after a long days touring,we had our three kids with us aged 7 to 14 & they were very happy to have discovered the kiddies play area located just behind the house with a Basketball court & soccer pitches for the older kids with swings, merry go round, slides etc..for the younger children, (all free of charge as well).Fergal was a great host nothing was to much trouble for him,he even met us in the city & brought us straight to the house at 10pm at night !! as our flight got delayed,on arrival he also had some basics such as tea coffee milk & bread so we could have some breakfast in the morning.A great house due to its location for touring the local sights & the city, not forgetting it's comforts.

We had a great stay in this holiday home which is well decorated and furnished, clean, modern and with all facilities necessary for a comfortable stay.We also appreciated the call from the owner after a few days to check that everythings was ok.

There were 6 in our party,5 adults and 1 child and the house was big enough to comfortably accommodate all of us.

The house is a development which is pretty residential and quiet on the outskirts of the city, not far from Oranmore. It takes at least 20 minutes to drive into the city centre. There aren't too many bars or restaurants close-by.There is a Spar and an internet cafe very close-by and a few large supermarkets abour a 5 minute drive away.

I'd recommend this property to anyone planning a trip to Galway.
Owner's Response: I am delighted to hear yvonne & her family had a delightful stay at the property & i appreciate their very positive review,Just to clarify two points, the dates yvonne and her family were staying at the property was the start of the Galway Arts Festival & traffic was indeed a lot busier than usual & it may have taken 20 minutes sitting in Traffic to get to the city center but it is at most a five to ten minute drive to the city center at other times there is also a dedicated bus lane from where the property is direct to the city center, these run every twenty minutes & the journey time is again ten minutes. There are a number of restaurants and Hotels in the immediate vicinity , the Clayton a four star hotel/restaurant,Darcy's bar & restaurant The kings valley hotel & Bodkins bar & restaurant to name a few all within a three to four minute drive.

Great Vacation Home for a Family

A traveling family Philadelphia, PA, USA
Review Submitted: July 6, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
Five of us stayed for almost a week at this terrific apartment. The rooms are very comfortable, and the kitchen and laundry were a plus. The location is perfect - a short drive or bus ride into Galway, as well as easy access to many of the tourist sites in County Galway and along the coast. Fergal was also a very considerate host. I'd recommend the apartment wholeheartedly.
Owner's Response: Just to clarify the property is a Semi Detached House not an apartment.

Great location and stylish accommodation

Review Submitted: February 27, 2009 Date of Stay: January 2009
We spent a week in this great city and had a fabulous time. The house is really well located. It's on the outskirts of the city, just off the coast road with very good public transport links to the city centre. The house itself is great; very spacious, well equipped, stylishly furnished and decorated, with plenty of room for dining and relaxing - we were a party of 6 adults - but the house comfortably accommodates 8. The bedrooms are well sized and the beds are very comfortable. The local market and pharmacy is 5 minutes walk from the house through a very pretty landscaped and well maintained 'estate'.
Galway itself is a small city - it has a 'young' feel to it with lots of students around. We visited in January so the city was not really busy and it was easy to get tables in restaurants etc. You have to spend time in Connemara - it is beautiful and very different to any landscape I had seen before!
We had great time during our visit - the house is great and really well located for touring the area but also for going out in the city at night. Thank you very much.
