Two Thumbs Up!

I can highly recommend this apartment. My family spent 2 weeks there this summer and thoroughly appreciated the location and our hostess, Andrea. She was very accommodating and helpful – which goes a long way when you are in unfamiliar territory. The apartment was well-appointed and very clean. You are a walk or tram ride away from any attraction you may want to see. There are many food stores down the street in either direction. It was nice to have the option of eating in or dining out. (Pizza La Contrada down the street became a quick favorite for both their pizza and pasta.) Andrea answered all our questions throughout our stay and arranged a cab to take us to the airport. Smooth sailing all the day! Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Great apartment in a beautiful city

Andrea was the perfect hostess and the apartment was just as pictured--modern, clean, and with all the amenities of home! We spent a week in Prague during Spring Festival and had a wonderful experience using this apartment as our base. Prior to arriving in Prague, Andrea was a great help in answering many questions, from how to get tickets to a Spring Festival concert (online) to the best transportation for a day trip to Cesky Krumlov (bus from Florenc station and highly recommended if you have more than a few days in Prague). The tram was very convenient although we opted to walk on most of our ventures--we enjoyed the exercise of walking uphill every night after a long day of sightseeing and eating and drinking the great Czech food and beer!

We highly recommend the vegetarian restaurant Lehka hlava, and we had great food and beer at a number of traditional pubs (but beware of the "hidden" charges). We had planned to cook more meals at the apartment but found eating out to be quite reasonable. We did buy pastries for breakfast from the bakery just a few doors down from the apartment and other "treats" from the neighborhood grocery store.

Also, it was great to have WiFi in the apartment--we used it to catch up on news from home and to stay in touch with family.

There is a restaurant/bar below the apartment which at times was quite noisy late into the night (we had the windows open). I'm sure this is not an issue during cooler/warmer months when the heat/air conditioning is on and windows would be closed. In any event, it was not serious enough to "spoil" our time.

Thanks, Andrea, for making your apartment available--we would highly recommend it to others!

Great base

We spent 10 wonderful days in Prague. The easter temperature was 22 degrees with consistent sunshine. The apartment made the perfect base. It was on the No 22 tram line which runs twice as often as most others, the ticket machine is very near. Buy the 18Kc for short rides and 26 Kc for transfer runs There is a supermarket (billa) nearby, general grocer, a baker, so dead easy to stock up on food and drink without having to carry it far for days out. Being on the top floor, the flat is quiet enough with the reassuring rattle of trams rolling by once in a while. The horse chestnut outside the window came into bloom whilst we were there. Prague is a beautiful and sophisticated city with great art galleries and architecture. We recommend the veletrzni palace art gallery, Mucha museum, municipal house guided tour, the Mucha window in St Vitus and if you are interested in architecture Adolf Loos' villa Muller is fantastic (email or ring to reserve visit), Prague Zoo. And lots more, in fact plenty to do for 10 days. Andrea was really friendly and helpful. She even provided a dorling Kinderley guide in English and arranged taxis from and to the airport which made it really easy. Highly recommended flat and city.

An excellent base for a short break in Prague!

We were very impressed with the high standard of the accommodation - there's everything you need here for a very comfortable break.

The owner, Andrea, is extremely helpful with excellent communication on booking, and even meeting us at the apartment on arrival and coming to say goodbye at the end. Now that's service!

Some people might need to be aware that the duplex style of the apartment with steep steps to the sleeping platform may not be very practical. At 5 months pregnant, it was a touch challenging for me after a long day sightseeing!

The property is perfectly situated right opposite the tram stop, with the No.22 tram taking you past the castle, through Mala Strana and into the New Town. There's an ATM, a mini market and several bars and cafes within a few moments' walk - we had everything we needed.

Can highly recommend the food and beer at the Strahov Monastery Brewery - one of Andrea's tips and just a 10/15 minutes walk from the apartment (or a couple of tram stops).

Weekend in Prague.

The apartment was immaculately kept, extremely cosy and welcoming. A great base from which to explore prague being within walking distance of the castles and monastery. A conviniently placed tramstop situated at the front of the building provided a short ride to the old town and jewish town. Also the bar/restaurant next to the apartments was a good place to relax after a long day.
Andrea, the owner of the apartment, was especially helpful on directing us to good spots to visit and eat. We would probably have wasted a day if not for her information and advice on the area.
All in all we had a great time and would highly recommend staying here if you are planning a trip to Prague.

Thanks for a great time Andrea.

Love Claire and James.
