Superb!

The flat is exactly as described here, strike that, it's even better!
The décor is very modern and done with taste and care.
Just about everything you can think of has been provided.
The private terrace is really superb AND believe it or not - quiet!

Robert provides a comprehensive guide to everything in the apartment as well as local restaurants Etc. which would be great for anyone not familiar with the area.

Speaking of the area, I don't think you can find a better situated place to stay. Soho is buzzing with great bars, restaurants and entertainment .
Old Compton St is also about halfway between Tottenham Court Rd and Leicester Sq, making for easy access to the Tube.

I will certainly be back for another stay on my next trip back home to London and well as recommending to friends.

12-Day HOLIDAY IN LONDON

The great stuff first - the BEST location in London if you like theatre, restaurants, shopping, night life - within 2 to 5 minutes walking distance of many theatres, museums, Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square. I could go on and on.

Very updated apartment - stainless steel kitchen with great appliances - fantastic living room with comfy furniture, LCD TV - bathroom had the most relaxing huge shower - bedroom was smallish but had a comfortable queen-size bed, LCD TV & plenty of storage. But the terrace was the ultimate - the doors leading to the terrace opened fully to let cool breezes in (a must for summer travel) and the large terrace with beautiful foliage was a relaxing oasis.

On the down side, the 4-story walkup was tough on our old legs especially with our luggage (but thank God Robert was there to help us). We thought a door between the living and bedroom areas would have been better than the curtain especially for sound. There were two nights that neighbouring parties lasted long into the night and were a little too loud. But these are very minor complaints.

Of the 8 stays and 7 apartments we had in London, this topped them all. If we were younger, it would have been perfect. We only had to call once for help (when we locked ourselves out) and our host was there in no time to assist us.

Overall - we would say our London Holiday was a great hit!

Central location, stylish and relaxing flat

This was our first time staying in this flat (although I've known the owner for many years). The location is first-rate and the apartment is amazing, very stylish and well designed. The decor is calming and neutral and provides a welcomed break from the hustle and bustle of the London streets. We made some meals at home and found the kitchen well-equipped. Although the weather was cool during our stay, the large roof terrace provided a sense of open space and the large windows and patio doors let in lots of light. Soho is full of good shops, theatres, pubs and a vibrant night-life (although inside the flat you don't hear any street noise). We walked to everything and only took the Tube in and out of London. If you like galleries, many of the best in London are in walking distance, and this location would be great for theatre buffs. We would definitely recommend this flat to anyone, and although I'm biased, the owner is a charming and knowledgable host, who knows central London very well. As noted in other reviews, there is quite a climb to the top floor, but well worth it. We hope to come back again!

Excellent, centrally located, modern flat

We stayed seven weeks in this flat and our experience was excellent. The flat is very centrally located in London, in Soho near Charing Cross Road. Soho is very lively, but the flat is on the fourth floor facing away from the street and is quiet. The flat is newly renovated with very tasteful decor and all modern appliances. Though small (as you'd expect in central London), the flat is very comfortable and well designed. There is a rooftop deck which adds more space as well as a light, open feel. There is a weekly cleaning service and Robert, the owner, was readily available when we had any questions. The WiFi worked very well, as did all the appliances. The flat is up four flights of stairs, without an elevator, which we quickly got used to, but might be an issue for some. The location in Soho is as central as you could want. We walked everywhere in central London (tube zones 1 and 2), for instance: 10 minutes to Trafalgar Square, five minutes to Oxford Street, 20 minutes to the South Bank, 20 minutes to Hyde Park, 30 minutes to Regent's Park. Soho itself is packed with restaurants, pubs and clubs. One issue, the flat is above restaurants and on the deck you can often smell cooking odors; small price to pay for a private rooftop deck in the middle of London. The view is to the north and you see the BT Tower. We had a really great stay in this flat and wouldn't hesitate for a moment to book it again if we get back to London.

Oh so Soho central!

I must declare knowing the owner of this flat for many years but I have stayed there as a paying guest and it's admirably central for many of the cultural delights of London. The only possible downside is that it's on the 4th floor and there's no lift but at the age of 62 and with a mobility problem, I still managed. The entrance stairway is a bit off putting but the apartment is amazingly quiet for its location, completely newly done out and excellently appointed. In terms of value for money, there are certainly cheaper apartments available in London but none so central that I have seen ansd that's truly one of its main delights. Happy to answer any direct e-mail inquiries if I can.

Best of both worlds

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Soho. The apartment is right at the heart of one of London's most creative and interesting districts and it has absolutely everything going for it. The interior was extremely stylish and very quiet with all the mod cons one would expect including a shower big enough for two. The large roof top terrace gives you views of two of London's iconic 60's buildings - The Telecom Tower and CentrePoint Tower. You can open the front door and you're slap bang in the middle of vibrant Soho, best of both worlds.

I am so glad we didn't stay in a hotel, we got to feel like chic locals!
