A delightful cottage in a great location

We found the cottage to be of very high standard, clean, comfortable, a home from home experience. In a great location with excellent views of the sea. It was great to be able to stroll down to the harbour, knowing we were just a short distance away from the cottage. Our baby daughter settled in well and there was plenty of room for her and all the items one takes when holidaying with a child. We loved the special touches which included a delightful hamper and flowers. We took advantage of the delicious cooked meals prepared by Phay which truly took the stress out of having to cook when we arrived. We would highly reccommend this cottage.

Highly recommended - Mousehole Cottage

My husband & I spotted Mousehole Cottage on line and were delighted that it was available for the 10 days we required. Upon arriving the cottage surpassed all expectations. Although newly built the cottage is extremely quaint looking with an enclosed gravelled garden surrounding the property - perfect for our little dogs. The property overlooks the sea & is literally a 3 minute walk to Mousehole harbour which is picturesque and the village itself has some lovely restaurants & a great dog friendly local pub. Inside the cottage is finished to an extremely high standard with no small details overlooked. We were greeted with a welcome hamper complete with dog biscuits and, more importantly, a bottle of wine! The whole place was immaculately clean & is decorated very tastefully. Although it was just my husband and I, we would definitely consider returning with friends or children as there are 3 good sized bedrooms. Mousehole is an excellent location to explore Cornwall. We had some glorious weather & enjoyed a few good hikes, Mousehole to Lamorna Cove along the coastal path has some stunning views and also Sennen Cove to Lands End. On the 2 rainy days we had, we relaxed in front of the flat screen TV with a good book and had it been cold enough there is a log burner. This is probably the best self catering accommodation we have stayed in and I would recommend it to families & adult parties alike. Another huge plus is the allocated parking bay right next to the cottage.

Mousehole Cottage is a lovely modern property in a great location, two minutes walk from the local pub in the heart of Mousehole. We liked the clean, pretty interior and it was lovely to have an outside area to catch the odd ray of sun and see the sea (I'm afraid the weather wasn't that great the week we were there).

It is clean, well maintained and decorated to a high standard. We would definitely recommend it as an excellent place to stay.

The car parking space was extremely useful and we appreciated the bottle of wine and goodies when we arrived.

Phay was extremely helpful and we would definitely stay there again.

A real home from home. Everything is as described, and it was spotless when we arrived. Its very well equipped with good quality furnishings/fitings and bed linen, a really good kitchen, which has everything you need. Its been really well thought out, nice touches include the beach towels, an unexpected welcome pack with all the essentials for the first mornings breakfast.
Mousehole itself is beautiful, nice little beach for the kids, a good pub, and some really good restaurants (Try 2 Fore Street - excellent). Do try the chippy too, just up the road from the cottage - best we've had a long time - and eat them down by the harbour with a pint!!! We'll be going back.

I've stayed in several cottages in Mousehole. This one is a modern cottage but in a traditional style. It is of a very high quality and has fantastic views. The parking space is a real positive too. As is the wireless internet.

Definitely recommend it.

Mousehole is a great place and we've stayed here before. The location of the cottage is just perfect; stunning views, tucked away from the main bustle of the harbour ,which is just a couple of mintes walk away and next door to a hotel which has both a wonderful cocktail bar and a terreace with a magnificent view.

There are 2 very nice restaurants (you need to book), a small sandy beach and access to the cliff path (via a very sttep hill). There's also a very good local bus service running every 30 minutes, worth catching if you're going into Penzance.

There are some lovely beaches within easy driving distance and the standard of food is generally very high. Fit in a visit to the local vineyard, Polgoon,to buy a few bottles of cider which they make by the champagne method. For the more fit, also worth doing the bikeride cross country from Polreath to Dunovan.

The property itself is lovely, well laid out and equiped and very clean. Would love to go back in the winter to enjoy the log burner.

A wonderful clean, fresh and stylishly decorated house in the heart of Mousehole with stunning sea views. Fully equipped - everything has been thought of. The house was in a perfect location for us, with 2 small children, the 1 minute walk to the town and little beach made the holiday very easy.

We arrived to a very thoughtful 'cornish' welcome hamper and we had requested an arrival meal - a wonderful fish pie and crumble which was simply delicious and very welcome after a very long drive.

Thank you - we will be back!

I think you would be hard pressed to find fault with this cottage. It is stylishly presented and in a lovely position in Mousehole. Wander down to the harbour in two minutes. Kitchen is well equipped. Bed comfortable. Excellent television. Sunny area to sit overlooking the sea. Lovely seafood restaurants in the village. Don't miss a visit to The Minack Theatre at nearby Porthcurno, if you've not been there. It doesn't matter what is on there. If you don't like the show, you will be stunned by the view.

Great for family holidays or a romantic getaway, we took two teenagers who loved it because they could wander off into Mousehole or further afield into Penzance on the bus.
Beautifully firnished and well equipped, impeccably clean and a welcome hamper...you cound'nt ask for more!,
Good pub and restaurant within walking distance and lovely coastal walks, we would'nt hesitate to reccomend it.

A GREAT, WELL EQUIPPED COTTAGE WITH STUNNING VIEWS

We really enjoyed our stay in Mousehole Cottage. The cottage was extremely comfortable, had everything we could have asked for, was clean and child friendly (our children are aged 5 and 8). The views were fabulous and could be enjoyed from both inside and outside of the cottage and were not just glimpses of the sea, but full sea views! Easy access into Mousehole, just a short walk to the shops, harbour and beaches. Parking was not a problem. Lovely touches on arrival from the owners - which I shall keep as a surprise for future guests ! The cottage is suitable for families with young or older children, couples, the retired and would be great all year round. We stayed in April and had days spent outside watching the world sail by and lovely, cosy evenings beside the woodburner. Lots of things to do within a short drive, St Michaels Mount is a short drive away and there are some lovely coves and beaches nearby to explore. The service we received from the owners was second to none, nothing was too much trouble and the food that we pre-ordered was delicious. In all, a great holiday, we were sad to leave but look forward to returning to Mousehole Cottage again soon.
