Good apartment for active travellers

Very functional apt., helpful owner. Aircondition didnt work in the first 2-3 days. The location is very noisey., except on the weekends. One can go to the center and the beach.

Hosts, Jordi and Anna, were gracious and accomodating with good directions for travellers not renting a car.

Apartment appears just as pictured. Size of apartment is cozy, but it is large enough for four people to sleep, if livingroom couch is let out.

Apartment was centrally located to Super Mercardo, beach, wharf, mall, and restaurants. Apartment was well stocked. Really appreciated having washer/dryer unit in apartment. Colorful mix of restaurants, markets right in neighborhood.

Came on a Barcelona holiday and watched city party all day until early morning. Loved the late sunset and meet some really entertaining people. Loved the ice cream/gelato shops on every other corner. Also, loved the Cafe de Lecha and Tortilla Patata (egg omelet with potato) for breakfast and the bakeries. Excellent Indian food restaurant a good 10 minute walk-away, a block from the beach.

Public transportation was excellent!

Easy walk to train station and wonderful city park/zoo. A little further walk to the shopping district of La Rambla and Gothic area. Recommend to take the city tour bus, excellent sites, plenty of museums and information.

Would have been nice to have an English speaking television channel, however took it as an opportunity to learn more Spanish and German.

We stayed in Barcelonetta 2 and found it a lovely comfortable compact appartment - as good as it looked in the photos. Nicely furnished and had everything that we wanted. No reservations about reccomending it and we would certainly go back again if we evere went back to Barcelona. Nicely situated away from Ramblas, but only a very short and pleasant walk if you wanted to go.

We deliberated about the area of Barcelona to stay and my wife opted for the beach/marina area so that we could go strolling if we wanted a cahnge from the Ramblas, historic and gothic area - turned out for us to be the ideal area. In an old residential area of Barcelonetta - we found it to be nice and quiet, with plenty of food shops around - bakeries and market etc. The market was just around the back and has some wonderful fish stalls if you wanted to cook the odd meal for yourself.

Thanks to Anna & Jordi for the heartily welcome in this nice little appartement - very easy-to-use and functional equippement, everything we needed was there and we enjoyed the stay very much. The appartement is only 5 minutes away from metrostation Barceloneta. Every morning we enjoyed to go shopping to Mercat de Barceloneta just around the corner and the bakery for the breakfast. Thanks to satellite-tv we were kept informed on news. The only disatvantage of the appartement is that it is quite dark inside - but Jordi and Anna did not scrimp on electricity and lights, which gives the appartement a very warm and friendly touch. During the week the nights are quiet, even with the fanlight open. We highly recommend this appartement!

We really enjoyed the apartment in Barceloneta. It is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for the week. And thank you very much for your flexibility in meeting us early on Saturday morning to let us in. The location is absolutely fantastic - with some great places to eat right nearby, the market only half a block away, and the 5 minute walk into Born and the Gothic areas. We loved how much we felt a part of the neighborhood while we were there.
