Stokies on tour.

Nige & co Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, England
Review Submitted: October 26, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
This was a very last minute booking (for a weekend break) which we are very glad we made, the apartment was exactly as it says "on the tin" it was very clean & very well maintained the beds were really comfy as was the sofa bed.
Micheal was very helpful & informed us of several local places to eat & to visit, (he even checked out which station we could leave our luggage at on our last so we didnt have to drag it round with us) there is also a range of leaflets of places to see & visit on the desk,
The apartment is well located for all forms of travel weather it be bus, tube, taxi or walking (which we did a lot of & enjoyed it).
There are various restaurants nearby we recommend the sunday roasts at the "slug & lettuce" on the High st.
We will be recommending this apartment to any one who will listen to us & we will be back to stay in the future, next time though it wil be a longer stay.

Wonderful London base

Borough Market Fan Newcastle Australia
Review Submitted: October 23, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
I spent 12 days here in September and like the other reviewers I had a wonderful time in this flat. It is very close to Borough Market for food lovers. I found it great to be able to buy great food and bring it home to cook. There are a number of supermarkets close by as well. The tube is only a couple of minutes walk away and one night I enjoyed a 50 minute walk home from the West End. The flat was very clean and spacious. Having stayed in London a number of times it was so good to have some space in the flat. Michael was also very generous and helpful. Would make this my base in London again.

Perfect place to stay

Review Submitted: October 17, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
This is the ideal place for a London. Busses and the tube are just around the corner. Everything you need is within walking distance.
15 minutes by tube gets you to the heart of London.

The flat is well equipped, we did not miss anything at all - 2 good bedrooms and a comportable living room.
From now on hotelrooms are banned in our family, this is the way to vacation.

The landlord was extremely helpful and informative - so we were well prepared and informed even before our arrival.
Even an early arrival and late departure caused no problems whatsoever.

This will be our choice for future stays in London and we can only
it to anyone who are in for some pleasant days in London.

Thanks again, Michael

Our 6 day stay

Review Submitted: October 6, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
Our family of 3 adults, used Michael's apartment for 6 days. It really worked out great for us. The tube is very close along with groceries and sightseeing attractions in walking distance. Several shops to eat close by but we did not care for the pizza.
What was really special was all the extra things Michael did. We were surprised and pleased. What were they? Go and check it out.

Fantastic London Base

WendyB Manchester, England
Review Submitted: September 29, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
I stayed here for 5 nights with my husband and my mum. We chose the apartment initially for it's close proximity to Guy's Hospital, where my husband was on a course (it turned out to be a brilliant choice, less than 10 minutes away on foot). It also gave me and my mum a fantastic base from which to explore London during the day. A lot of the major tourist attractions are easily reachable on foot from here and the area felt very safe, even though we were very much in the centre of things. There are two good supermarkets just up the road and lots of interesting places to see just in the immediate area (we particularly liked Southwark cathedral and the Cutty Sark is just next to it). Michael was a brilliant host, providing us with enough groceries to get through the first evening/morning had we needed them, and was so helpful, even before we got there. I was concerned the stairs might be too much for my elderly mum and he even went outside the flat to count them for me - how nice! We all had a wonderful stay in London and we would recommend this apartment to anyone as we thought it was clean, comfortable and really convenient and I think you would go a long way to find a more helpful owner. Thanks again Michael.

Our home in London

Maja&Dunja&Marin&Ana Zagreb, Croatia
Review Submitted: September 7, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
When I look at the photos of the apartment, I feel like I'm looking at my home in London! :) My husband, me and two of our friends spent a week there and we had a great time! We didn't spend much time acctually "in the apartment"; usually only mornings and evenings, but we felt very comfortable knowing we have a place to come home to after a long day of sightseeing. The apartment is very clean, very nicely decorated and very well equipped. Location is perfect - the neighborhood is quite and everything is in a close range: Borough tube station is a 3-5 min walk, and London Bridge is 10-15 min walk, Tesco supermarket is a 5 min walk and nearest pub is a 1 min walk. Who could ask for more! :)
The four of us (Maja, Dunja, Marin and Ana) wish to thank Michael once again for his hospitality! Michael is the best! He gave us every information we could possibly need. We only regret we didn't have a chance to buy him a pint...it's because we had a strange, very early flight back so we didn't have time for a proper goodbye. We just hope we'll see each other again one day!

Our First Trip to London

Patrice & Doug Chicago, Illinois
Review Submitted: June 2, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
My husband and I visited London for a vacation. We were very happy with Michael's flat. It was clean, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. It had all needed amenities. The location is excellent, with the underground very close by. Michael met us in the morning and spent time with us, showing us around and explaining how things work. He had fresh flowers, wine, coffee (with a press pot), tea, cereal, milk, and more for us on our arrival. These personal touches were greatly appreciated. We would recommend this flat to anyone visiting London. We visited Tower of London, Tate Modern, Westminster Abbey, Globe Theatre, National Gallery, Oxford street, Covent Garden piazza, and other places. We recommend the audio tour at Tower of London and Tate Modern. The prepackaged foods at Marks & Spencer Simply Food near the London Bridge Tube were our favorite lunch foods. The reduced fat pork sausages, fresh fruit, and cereal from Sainsbury local were our favorite breakfast foods.

This is the ideal place for a leasure or business stay. Several busses and the tube are around the courner. Restaurants, pubs, supermarkets and everything you could possibly need is literally on the door step. A 10 minute stroll down the road (or 2 stops on the bus) will get you to Elephant & Castle where you find a shopping center and market.

The flat has lovely and comfortable furniture / beds. A great shower and is overall well equipped and clean. It is very tastefully decorated.

The host is the most pleasant and helpful person I've come across on my travels. Starting from 'how to get to the flat from the airport' to carrying our luggage up the stairs. Our late arrival was no problem at all. He even had everything we would need for breakfast waiting for us.

This will be my first choice for future stays in London and I highly recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely perfect place

a couple from Budapest Budapest, Hungary
Review Submitted: May 8, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We spent 4 nights in the apartment with my husband. The owner's description is absolutely accurate as for the location, as well as the facilities of the flat. It was properly clean and really well-maintained and I really liked the bigger bedroom with its big and comfortable king-size bed. I slept a lot better than at home! The kitchen is also lovely with all the neccesary euqipment (even more than neccesary) for those who want to cook for themselves - actually we ate out most of the time (I would warmly recommend the Indian restaurant a few steps from the flat - and its pub - the Blue-eyed maid also -.
The owner was really helpful even before our trip to London, gave a lot of advice regarding the sights and the public transport.and sent an amazingly detailed welcome letter with all the facts we had to be familiar with. He was really flexible with our arrival and departure time, we could move in immediately after landing in the morning, and we were allowed to check out in the afternoon.
Arriving at the flat the owner was waiting us with some presents, my favourite kind of chocolate, a bottle of champaigne (sorry, we didn't drink it, as I never drink champaigne), some strawberries and some food and drink in the fridge. It was really kind of him. And there were fresh flowers in the main bedroom and the living room, too.
Our plane landed at Gatwick airport, and there's a direct train service from London Bridge station to the airport, as well as to Brighton where we spent a lovely day.
So, to cut it short, everything was perfect and I would like to thank to our landlord that he helped to spend a few wonderful days in London.

A great place to stay

Marghe Torino, Italy

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. We were 4 adults and the apartment was very clean, welcoming and well equipped. Everything in the house worked perfecly. The two bedrooms were very comfortable and the small kitchen had everything we could possible need. The photos in this site realistically represent the house. Located in a quiter part of the city with shops, restaurants and supermarkets very close by (one on each just around the corner is open from 7a.m. to 11 p.m.). Only a short walk from Borough tube station and several buses stops. The London Bridge is 10 minutes walk from the apartment. The owner was so friendly and helpful with our arrival and departure times and gave us a lot of information. When visiting London again I would always come back. Highly recommended to two couples or families with two youngers.
