Our stay in Majorca

Having recently returned from staying at the apartment I thought I would mention our stay there. We all found the apartment luxurious and very comfortable. Danny meet us on arrival and explained about the area and where most of the amenties were. At night it was very peaceful as the area of Port Verd is primarily a residential area for property owners with no bars or restaurants thumping out loud music until the small hours.
Whilst this is the apartments biggest appeal in a bizarre kind of way it's also its biggest let down. The town of Cala Bona is 1km away and the swimming pool at Pula Suites 5km away, in essence without a car you are doing a lot of walking or staying in with the 300+ german channels on the satelite.
Overall I would recomend a stay at these apartments but you will need transport during your time there.
Danny/Pete if I could recomend anything it would be to upgrade your satelite package, get youselves an internet WiFi connection for your residents and try and strike up a deal with a more local hotel for the use of the pool, the Esperanza Mar seems the obvious choice.

The apartment itself is lovely. Spacious, contemporary and very new. The area is quiet and close to a lovely beach and the marina, shops etc....that's the good part.
While staying at the apartment the airconditioning broke down after two days. We informed the manager who was very nice and he said he would try and get someone out the next day to fix it. It took one week for the aircon to be fixed and we were at that point leaving in 2 days. During that time we had one fan which we had to leave in the babies room as it was so warm.
We also paid 80 euros for cleaning of the apartment but in the 12 days that we were there the apartment was never cleaned and the sheets or towels were never changed even though it stated that they would be in the welcome note that was in the apartment. I ended up washing the towels and the sheets myself and cleaned the apartment on a daily basis. When I returned home I emailed the owner for a refund of the cleaning charge and I am still waiting for a response.
We have stayed in many private villas and apartment and this one certainly wasnt cheap and I have to stay we have stayed in much better for much less. Overall a bit of a disappointment.

In regards to the A/C unfortuently technical problems do occur from time to time and on this occassion the fault took 4 days to repair. In this time fans were made available by the property manager who is on site until the repair was completed. In regards to the cleaning charge this is for when clients leave the property so the property is then ready for the next occupants. If the clients required further linen or towels then they only had to ask the manager and these would have been supplied. I have spoken to the manager who informs me that the reviewer was very nice and at no time made a compliant while there. Wine and chocolates were given to the reviewer for any inconvience, together with a DVD player, cot and high chair at no extra cost for there stay. The apartment is advertised as self catering but if clients wish to have cleaning done while there this can be arranged at an extra cost. It seems that on this occassion the reviewers only compliant was not with the apartment or area but with the change of towels and linen which they only had to ask for.

This is an excellent apartment; very comfortable and lovely. I have no hesitation in recommending it to all who read this message. The location is great - the sea is very close and beaches are just at a few minutes walking, very quite area and very easy to get to all places. It is ideal for those who choose to have a restful holiday with family and friends. The owner is a really nice person to deal with and you can trust him; he keeps in touch with you all the time to ensure all goes to plan. Also, the person who is in charge of providing you with the keys, etc. is another benefit of coming to this apartment. I was here for 6 days with my family and friends and it all was just right; we had a tremendous time in Mallorca and this apartment was just perfect for us.

Außergewöhnlich schönes Appartment, perfekt mit allen Annehmlichkeiten im Designerstil eingerichtet. Alles neu und sehr gepflegt. Zusätzlich schöner, kleiner Garten mit Oleanderbüschen und wunderbaren Palmen. Ebenfalls sehr gepflegt, in ansprechender und sehr ruhiger Villengegend, ideal für Ruhesuchende.
Der nächste fußläufig erreichbare Supermarkt befindet sich im ein paar 100 m entfernten Hotel Esperanza Mar.
Die genannten 50 m zum Strand sind korrekt.
Dieser ist sehr malerisch, jedoch sehr klein und schwer zugänglich. Bei höherem Wellengang ist dieser unterspült.
Der nächste Naturstrand, ebenfalls relativ klein und nicht sehr ansprechend, ist ca. 1 km entfernt. Die wirklichen Großstrände von Cala Millor ca. 3 km, Cala Ratjada
ca. 20 km.
Mietwagen empfohlen.
Der nächste fußläufig erreichbare Supermarkt befindet sich im ein paar 100 m entfernten Hotel Esperanza Mar.

We had the most wonderful holiday, upon our arrival we were pleasantley surprised, the apartment was, luxurious beyond belief. We were greeted by Danny, who was most charming and very professional. He explained where everything was in the apartment and provided us with local information and answered any questions that we asked in relation to making our holiday most enjoyable. Here you have the best of both worlds, the apartment is situated within a very up market,quiet residential area of Majorca but within ten minutes walk (a very pleasant walk) you are in the centre of Cala Bona where the restaurants and bars are too numerous to mention.It was fantastic to sit and have our evening dinner over looking the sea. The harbour is very impressive with its cafe bars and restaurants.
The beach is just a short stroll away from the apartment, with its silver sands and aqua sea. We visited thie beach on a daily basis , we could not resist it. We enjoyed coffee and lunch at Port Verd next to the beach, this in itself was amazing with the wonderful location and sea and mountain views which are stunning and well worth a visit. In fact we have visited most countries and islands and have stayed in top class hotels but we have to say that this apartment and the location would be very hard to beat, there is literally something for everyone no matter what age, wether you are single or a family you really must treat yourselves and pay a visit you will not be disappointed.We had a truly memorable experience and will deffinately be having a return visit.

Spent a lovely 7 days in this apartment - first time in majorca and we will definitely be going back.
We have rented apartments and villa's througout Europe and this must rank in the top 3.
The desciption is spot on, the area beautiful - and there was plenty to keep both the adults and two demanding children occupied. We really enjoyed immersing ourselves in the local colour and found the locals very welcoming!

Having just returned from a brief winter break .This property was a great find! The apartment itself was more than above any expectation, immaculately presented throughout, and the location,- as stated is absolutely idyllic. The whole of the apartment is extremely light and airy, and suprisingly spacious! also being on the ground floor the large terrace and the privacy of the location is per
fect for relaxing.
Being late February the whole of Majorca is fairly quiet, but just a few minutes drive away is Cala Bona/Cala Millor
where there always seems to be something going on and the Bars situated in the harbour are great to just sit and watch the fishing boats coming in.
Also a few minutes away is Costa Los Pinos (this is has to be one of the most stunning areas in the whole
of majorca I have ever seen (and I have been going there for over 10 years now!!).
I would say a car would be appropriate, but from May onwards there is a regular little train that runs all along the coast,so you can stop off wherever you want.
Son Severa market on a Friday and Arta market(Tues) are open all year round and always busy
I was so impressed with this apartment I shall be rebooking to go again at the end of May with my partner, he loves Golf and again this location is within easy reach of at least four golf courses so that will keep him happy. I have also reccomended it to a number of friends. A real Gem. Thanks

Sehr schöne, neue und gut eingerichtete Wohnung. Leider kein Meerblick, da im Erdgeschoss gelegen. Das zeigen die Bilder in der Ausschreibung anders. War am Anfang eine ziemliche Enttäuschung. Außerdem sollte man zur Poolbenutzung in ein nahegelegenes Hotel oder in einen ca.7 km entfernten Golfclub gehen. Dies solte aus der Beschreibung deutlicher hervorgehen.
An der Küchenausstattung gibt es auch noch Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten. So gibt es z.B. keinen geeigneten Kochtopf um Spaghetti abzukochen und auch kein Sieb, um Nudeln abzugießen.
Wenn die genannten Nachteile nicht wären, hätten wir eine perfekte Ferienwoche dort verbringen können. So waren wir alles in allem doch ein wenig enttäuscht.
Der Service durch den Hausverwalter war zuvorkommend und gut.
