Reviews of Property: Amazing beach side family apartment stunning sea views from balcony.

We went to the "exclusive" La Manga complex in Spain a couple of years ago but rate this as even better! The apartment is set in lovely grounds with snorkelling a stones throw away minutes away and a sandy beach within a very short walk. We hadn't been to Menorca before and loved it. The beaches were stunning, the water clear and warm and the snorkellng - especially in the Northern "biosphere reserve" was fantastic. There was also lots of sailing and kayaking if you've got teenagers. We went just before the school holidays and the whole island was very quiet and relaxed. Renting a car meant we were able to visit relatively inaccessible areas of the island. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending the apartment, Fornells or the island to anyone.

We've stayed at many places in Menorca, and believe me they just don't get any better. We arrived late at night so just went to bed ( a very comfortable , sound sleep ), when I awoke and opened the shutters onto the balcony, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven, wow what views!.we just never got fed up looking at them. looking around the appartment it is well appointed, very clean and well cared for, just like someones home, not a holiday home very quiet during the day and night, a pleasure to stay in. The information pack left by the owners was very helpful and well worth reading. Each night we dined at various restaurants in old Fornells where the selection of food and fine wine is endless, a car is essential if you want to see the island in all it's glory, places to visit are too various to mention, but Es Castell and Galdana are worth visiting and are worth a mention, I could go on forever but won't. A very restful and pleasant holiday, Thanks again.

Menorca is a paradise for those wanting shallow clear waters, clean beaches, peace, good food at good prices and easy fun driving, walking and biking exploring all it's nooks and crannies and different beaches. Fornells is a paradise within a paradise! Lovely views, clean apartment and helpful owners and neighbours. Lots of swimming pools near by...when you find them! Definately hire a car.

What do you need? Sufficient family accommodaton but reasonably priced? Lovely quiet location but easy access to beach, shop and restaurants? Central to many good places to visit but also nice to stay put and relax on the balcony with a wonderful view? Sailing courses available nearby...and suitable for children but also nice gardens to amble through and forget the rain of England? Welcoming sunshine but refreshing breeze?

A lovely apartment in a very relaxing setting, with beautiful views of the sea and gardens. The well-kept apartment sleeps 6 people comfortably with 2 bathrooms and good sized living spaces (including a large balcony with the sea view shown in the photo) and a well equiped kitchen. Playas de Fornells itself is very family-friendly and has plenty of amenities (including restaurants / shops etc), whilst the rest of the island is easily explored from here. Nearby Fornells has a stunning harbour, and a relaxed atmosphere, with plenty of restaurants serving local/spanish dishes.

A really charming well-maintained and equipped appartment with views to die for on a mature and beautifully kept development. Shops and restaurants are close at hand but the location is quiet and secluded. For exploring further afield, a car would be a bonus but not a necessity. Fornells has some excellent restaurants and an up-market feel that makes it a comfortable place to be if you want to avoid the teeming hordes!
