Excellent location

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in London staying in this apartment. It was spacious and clean with all the mod cons you would need. It is literally a stones throw from Victoria Station so you can hear the trains but only in the background, they don't disturb your sleep. It was possible to walk to a large number of sights from the apartment e.g. Buckingham Palace, Westminster, the London Eye, South Kensington and the West End but the tube is within easy reach. The only transport problem we had was that the Victoria line is closed on a weekend. Plenty of restaurants in the vicinity too as well as takeaway chains. Would definitely recommend it to friends

Owner's Response: Normally the Victoria line would be open at weekends. Perhaps there were some engineering works? There is also the option of using one of the red london buses from Victoria bus station with adjoins the rail station which is often a better way to travel if you want to have a good look around from a higher vantage point.

Great apartment for a trip to London

We stay at the apartment for 7 days. It is very comfortable, well furnished and with everything we needed for our stay in London. The location is very central, with trains, underground and buses all a short walk away and shops, bars and restaurants all nearby. It was easy to catch and let the keys. The owner was very efficient and any queries were dealt with very quickly. The on-site concierge was also friendly and helpful. We didn't find the nearby trains noisy and, in fact, the street itself was very quiet and peaceful given the very central location. We would have no hesitation in strongly recommending the property to anyone visiting London.

We found the apartment to be spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well furnished, and with everything we needed for our stay in London. The pretty roof garden was an added bonus. The location is very central, with trains, underground and buses all a short walk away and shops, bars and restaurants all nearby. Good pub on the corner, too. The owner was very efficient and any queries were dealt with very quickly. The on-site concierge was also friendly and helpful. We didn't find the nearby trains at all intrusive noise-wise, and in fact the street itself was very quiet and peaceful given the very central location. We would have no hesitation in strongly recommending the property to anyone visiting London.

The apartment is nicely furnished and clean. It is very central, you can walk to the subway within 4 mins. The apartment lays next to a railway. You don´t hear the trains because the windows are very soundproof, if closed. Altogether I can recommend the apartment.

Perfect stay

Review Submitted: August 10, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We took our grandchildren (7 and 9) to London for their first time to visit their uncle and this flat was perfect. It was very clean and tidy and it has all the mod cons you need. The tube is very close and there are many busses in the area so even thought the Victoria line was down over the weekend (engineering works) we had no problem to get around. We found the busses nicer as they are much cooler in warmer weather and not as cramped as the tube. There is a large supermarket about 5 minutes walk away and numerous restaurants. The flat does back onto Victoria Station but we did not find this a problem at all as you can hardly hear the trains, even with the windows open. Our grandchildren quite enjoyed watching the trains and they got quite excited when (what we think was) the Orient Express pulled in and stopped right outside the flat.

Highly recommended!

Great apartment in the heart of tourist London

Pat & family Yorkshire, UK
Review Submitted: June 22, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
We stayed at the apartment for a weekend. It is very spacious and cosy. We got in late so the reception was not staffed but we were able to get our keys after a quick phone call to the owner. Comfortable beds, lots of hot water, well furnished kitchen for our needs. The main downside is that the unit backs to the Victoria Station tracks and it can be a bit noisy at times. But the location is great, near to train/tube lines. There is a grocery store in easy walking distance and many sights are a close tube stop away. There is a lift in the building.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your positive feedback. Regarding the trains, we would add that most central London locations have noise of one form or another and the advantage of this flat is that there is no road noise and because of the triple glazing the train noise can be shut out when the trains are running during the day. The other advantage of this block is that it is constructed to a very high standard and therefore there is no transmission of noise between flats unlike in many conversions. Whilst the noise during the day of the trains maybe a slight nuisance, the close proximity of Victoria station and facilities more than compensates.

Apartment for Cool Weather

TamW US
Review Submitted: June 21, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
The location was convenient to the train station and excellent for sightseeing. The apartment was nicely furnished, and having an attended front desk was a plus. The biggest issue was that the apartment's windows opened directly onto the tracks at Victoria Station. Double windows limited the noise from the continuous train traffic pretty effectively, but the apartment was stuffy and warm (in June) with the windows closed. In cooler weather, it would be a very convenient and pleasant unit.
