My husband and I have just returned from a 4 day trip to Paris and stayed in Emma's wonderful apartment. We lived in Paris for 3 yrs until recently so know the city very well and were looking for an apartment with good location, good value for money and with an authentic Paris feel to it. We have travelled alot and this would have to be one of the best apartments we have stayed in. Very quiet at nights (I'm a light sleeper so this was great), light and spotlessly clean, nicely furnished, very comfortable bed, supplied with all the necessities (fluffy towels, soap, extra blankets, DVDs, Wifi connection etc. - even coffee for the coffee maker), a lovely owner and very well located for metro - 5 min walk to Metro Line 4 which has easy connections to other metro lines so you can be wherever you want to be in Paris within a short space of time. It is also very easy to get to if you are coming from Paris Charles de Gaulle airport as the RER main train line from the airport has a stop only 10 - 15 mins walk from the apartment. We flew in from London, got the train and were at the apartment in no time. The gardien (caretaker) had the apartment key and it was all very plain sailing in terms of getting there and leaving. Emma gave us detailed instructions about arriving and departing and was very efficient and helpful in her correspondence, The apartment is on the 3rd floor with no lift but we did not find it a problem.
The 14e arrondisement is the real Paris not the touristy one so is great for those who love to wander the streets, eat at authentic local eateries (the area is full of great places at reasonable prices for good food) and experience Paris up close. It is a lovely neighbourhood with a park round the corner and lots of small boutique shops. We highly recommend Emma's apartment for couples, singles or family groups for a really enjoyable Parisian holiday.
