We have just returned from a fabulous break in this beautiful bungalow. My family ..8 adults and 2 children..had a family celebration over the first weekend and my husband and I had a wonderful relaxing time for the remainder of the week.
The house is stunning. The photographs do not do it justice. The decor and furnishings are all top of the range, with a kitchen that is to die for!!
The rooms are spacious and even when we were all together it never felt crowded.
We were met by Rob and made to feel very welcome, We would not have hesitated to contact him if necessary, but everything we needed was already provided.
I would recommend this house to all. It was a joy to stay there.

We attended a wedding at Brig O Doon which was only 5 minutes in a taxi away. It worked out far cheaper than staying in a hotel for our group and was much more relaxed. This home was perfect for our needs with its large communal areas, multiple bathrooms and spacious bedrooms.

The home really is as gorgeous as the photographs convey, all areas of the house are tastefully decorated and well maintained. The facilities were great too. There wasn't an instance in the 4 days where I couldn't lay my hands on what I needed. One thing the website description doesn't do justice to is the views from the master bedroom and proximity to the sea which were a nice surprise the first morning.

Rob and Mark were very helpful and professional throughout the whole process which was fantastic. My husband forgot to take his own house keys home, before he even knew they were missing Rob had called and put them in an envelope to post them back to us!

We all had a really great time and due to the service we received we'll be returning for a wedding at Ayr Racecourse next year.

Big thanks to you both!

Four golf enthusiasts took the property for a week and played the terrific links courses on the Ayrshire coast. The property is perfectly located for such a trip and allowed a great venue to recap the days advenures over an adult beverage and a meal prepared in the modern (american style) kitchen. Plenty of bedrooms and showers with everything better than described. Property was clean, well appointed, and the owners attentive to all our needs. We highly recommend this property to anyone on a golf vacation (don't miss Western Gailes) or any other journey for that matter. Fantastic!

Glorious holiday and home!

We have recently, spent a glorious week at auchentrae. The description of the accomodation and location was spot on,if anything the pictures do not do it justice. The accomodation was immaculate and we experienced first hand on our departure, just how hard the cleaners worked to achieve this.
Mark the owner was always available by phone to sort out any problems, nothing was to much trouble.
The quality of the fitments, and furnishings are first class,as were the fluffy white towels and crisp white bed linen. We did hire a car, however the town centre was walking distance, and the beauifull beach a stone throw away. There was a great selection of restaurants nearby all child friendly. However, we did make good use of the bbq and patio area in the evening (all thanks to the scottish weather)
We hope to return soon.6 adults and 3 children, shared this wonderfull home.
It was a perfect holiday and we were extremely comfortable in this lovley home. There was plenty crockery, cutlery and utensils.Everyone slept well at night due to the quality of the mattresses and bedding. We would thoroughly reccomend this home and would not hesitate to return.

This was our first trip to Scotland, and this home could not have been more perfect. It is beautiful, and in perfect condition. Everything seems brand new. We met one of the owners on arrival who provided us with a tour and any information we could need. The views from many of the rooms are wonderful (especially from the upstairs). Many things are within walking distance, mainly the seafront, the local grocer, and a few restaurants. We traveled from the US, so we were doing a lot of sightseeing, but after a few days we wanted to relax and enjoy our rental home more. I hope to return again and would recommend this lovely home to anyone.

We arrived following an 8 hour stop start journey from Buckinghamshire and received a warm welcome and cup of coffee with Mark. I would have happily walked for 8 hours to get such a superb property.
Stunning property, the pictures dont do it justice.
Fantastic location and it really is 2 minutes from beach.
The property came with a few essentials already in the fridge.
There were bikes, games and golf clubs to use if we wanted to - and they were not tatty cast off bikes and clubs.
We had plans to visit Glasgow, Edinburgh, Arran, Loch Lomond but in the end we did none of it because we had such a good time in and around Ayr.

We felt like lottery winners for a week.

Highly recommended.

We absolutely loved this home and would recommend it to friends and return ourselves. It is better than it looks in photos!

It was clean, spacious, well equipped and the location was even better than we imagined. The service was excellent and it was close to all kinds of places to visit and things to do. A ten!

Having travelled all over the world on holiday it was great to stay at home in Scotland this year. There is no doudt that Ayrshire boasts a micro climate and the .locals are more than welcoming. Therefore staying at this lovely holiday home was perfect for our family.
The owners have gone to great lenghts to make this a true home from home with the emphasis on luxury. The house has been sympathetically converted and extended and the attention to detail is outstanding. The bedrooms are very spacious and the bathroom and en-suites are very nicely done. Of course if the rain does happen to come the house has SKY which is a God send with kids. As far as the safety element is concerned it is perfect for families with young children, and the front alarm ensure you know if the front door is being opened. The beach is a five minute walk away and the centre of Ayr is a mere 5 minutes by car. On a sunny day there is nothing finere than sitting on the beach staring over the lovely island of Arran. There are several very nice hotels and restaurants withing a ten minute walk and all are very child friendly and offer excellent local fayre. There is a book with excellent recommendations for all things local in the house which is very useful for those who don't know the area.
The workd luxury is too often used in the description of properties on websites, but on this occasion it well and truly lives up to the name. Rob and Mark were extremely welcoming and helpful and had left nothing to chance before letting this property. The fact that they had provided everything such as toiletries was very good indeed and saved a lot of shopping time.

If you are considering a holiday in Scotland this year or next look no further, this is pefect for all. The house, the location and of course the welcome you reveive really does make you feel at home.
