Already booked the apartment for next year

What a great holiday apartment it was situated in a fantastic location right on the beach so convenient for the whole family. The Restaurants & Bars are close enough to walk to but far enough to be very quiet and peaceful late at night. The apartment as everything you need and was very clean, my family can’t wait for next year we’ve already booked the apartment again.

We stayed at this apartment w/e 12.7.09 for 7 nights. The location is absolutely fantastic on the beach with fantastic views. The apartment was spacious, relaxed, well maintained, clean and tidy. The kitchen is fully equipped (microwave, large fridge freezer etc.) there is also a washing machine available. The owner greeted us on our arrival and was available if needed, we found her very friendly and helpful. There are plenty of activities and attractions for all ages and if you wish to travel further a field we found the taxis to be reasonable. We tried several different bars and restaurants and found them all very welcoming and food was good. For a good night out we would reccomend a visit to the Swan.

I concur with last reviewer, this apartment is a one off.You will travel many miles to come close to it's location and tranquil evening setting. The beach is quite literally one step away. All services, banks, cafes, restaurants are a short stroll away. The cooking facilities in the apartment are excellent.Late in the evening the sky views from the veranda across the bay with only the sound of breaking waves will live long in the memory.I would highly recommend.

Top Class Villa

Chirpy Peterborough, England
Review Submitted: July 14, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
Well what can I say.... when we arrived and went inside, the villa was spotless, it is very roomy, has a brand new kitchen with cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, the ajoining lounge has a flat screen tv and dvd player, which I reccomend you take some dvds for nights in, we were informed of this when booking. From the lounge you walk through double glass doors onto a balcony which over looks the sea, it is stunning... The beach is about 30 steps and your on it. What more could anyone want in an ideal holiday spot....
In the bedrooms there is ample storage for clothes and other items, the shower and toilet is quite spacious and light.
Downstairs in the garage is a washing machine and in the private garden is a washing line.
The view is breath taking, every morning watching the sun come up over the mountains was just beautiful, the shops are just a few minutes walk and taxis are quite cheap if you wanted to get to another town.
I am already looking to book for next year and would highly recommend this property as an overall excellent villa to rent. The owner is quick to respond to any questions you may have, so what are you waiting for, get booking I'm going too........ Many Thanks Lesley I will be in touch ;0)

Excellent apartment and location!

I cannot understand the negative comments below. I have just returned from 2 weeks at this apartment and am already planning my next holiday there! It is very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The location is amazing as you are right on the beach and it is a 2 minute stroll to a range of restaurants, shops and bars. I had 4 teenagers with me and it was ideal. The resort is active enough but still very safe so we were happy to let the teens off for a few hours each evening which they loved. The balcony is large so we had many evenings of eating and relaxing with a beautiful view of the beach. I cannot recommend this property highly enough!

fantastic view but that's it

Review Submitted: June 4, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We stayed in the apartment during the last week of May 2009. The big balcony and the view are really gorgeous. For us it was nice that the floor isn't tiled but has laminate. Unfortunately the apartment also has many negative items that have to be mentioned considering the price you have to pay for it.

When we arrived it was only superficially cleaned. If you "looked behind the curtain" there was still a lot of dirt and dust. The kitchen looks really nice on the first sight, but if you open doors there, bad smell fills the room as the cupboards don't get enough fresh air because of bad house keeping (poor ventilation).
The inside of the oven wasn't cleaned properly, it was covered with spots of fat so it was pretty disgusting. So were pans and stuff.
Another example for bad upkeeping was the fridge. On the top shelf there was mold (made photos of that). Seeing that I was wondering if they respect their guests at all. Obviously they don't open the fridge door after defrosting it but let the humidity inside grow mold. Disgusting.

All (really all) wardrobes in the apartment have the smell of mildew so you can't put your clothes inside unless you don't care about the smell in your clothes. Some smell this heavy you can realize it just passing the wardrobes without opening the doors.

The description of the "extra large double bed" is far exagerated. It's about 1,40 m wide (it seems bigger in the picture) which corresponds to a large single bed but not to a double bed. It's pretty narrow for two adults. If you are from Liliputt you might think it's big.
Furthermore it has only one (and very soft) mattress so you keep wakening each other up during the night if the other one moves around.
I wouldn't recommend staying there with more than two people, because the other two bedrooms are straight next to the balcony of your neighbours. The apartments around are owned by islanders that stay there during the weekend. They had 8 people on the balcony all talking at the same time and the tv set running, too, until 3 at night. It feels like they are sitting in your bed. The apartment above has tiled floors, so forget about sleeping during weekend with the owners returning home at night.
The bathroom (far to small for more than 2 people) smelled like rotten eggs during most of the day. We couldn't locate where the smell was from. If you closed the bathroom door you could hardly breathe after opening it again. Pheew!
Owner's Response: As the owner of this property I am very disappointed to read any comments suggesting my clients were not happy during their holiday. I live only 15 minutes away from this apartment and am on hand to deal with any issues that occur during your holiday. It is unfortunate that this reviewer did not contact me at any time to express any of his concerns whilst here - we can only fix things if we know they are broken!
We make every effort to ensure that you have a great holiday and take great pride in our apartment and its presentation.
We have taken on board all of the comments made and have investigated and rectified all issues as far as is possible.
If you, as a reader, have any concerns regarding this review then I ask that you please contact us for specific information. Thanks

Great apartment and location

What a great place to stay. The photos do not do it justice - the view is incredible. We went in March 2009 - out of season and it was quiet, but we found plenty of things to do. Apartment was spotless and everything brand new. Highly recommended! Rob & Karen Thompson
