What a gem!

My husband and I recently spent one of the most enjoyable and memorable weeks of our lives in this jewel of a hideaway amidst the most magnificent scenary. This property has bags of old world, rustic charm but presented in a modern and luxurious way. The owners couldn't do more to make us feel welcome and I'm sure if there had been anything we needed, they would have provided it. Their attention to detail in the furnishings and equipment was amazing and the level of cleanliness and comfort of the property was truly exceptional. The area is one of outstanding natural beauty and remains unspoilt - I do hope it stays that way for many years to come. The views outwards across the penninsula and backwards towards the majestic mountains is breathtaking. This is an ideal place to detox the mind, body and soul.

A Quality Hideaway

Following a tour around Ireland, my wife and I along with our two dogs stayed at Carraig Beag cottage for the last week in August 2009.
On arrival we were given a warm welcome from Daniel and Ann, who immediately made us feel at home. The cosy annexe of Carraig Beag is situated to the rear of Ann and Daniel’s house but has a view across the Tralee Bay. We found it to be well maintained and spotlessly clean, as well as being tastefully decorated and nicely furnished with quality fittings throughout. In addition, our week was made very relaxing because of the extremely comfortable large size bed.
This perfect hideaway for two people is located on a hillside to the west of Camp and is quiet and peaceful as well as being ideally situated for short drives to many nearby deserted beaches at Cappaclogh, Inch, Fermoyle, Brandon, Derrymore and Magherabeg (sometimes we were the only people on a two miles stretch of sand). We also discovered grand walks for our dogs throughout the Dingle peninsula, our favourite being Glanteenassig forest park and lakes some 8 km to west of Camp.
Daniel and Ann catered for our dogs needs throughout the week and made our stay very enjoyable. We would recommend this property to couples for its 5* quality and quiet location.

We could not have found a more lovely cottage and setting than Carraig Beag. The sweet home is decorated and appointed with the love of the owners, Ann and Dan Crosby. From a bed that is luxurious and comfortable, to the kitchen window that looks out to the ever changing Bay of Tralee, we enjoyed each moment of the Dingle experience. I found a walk to the sea from the cottage that was magical and abundant with wild flowers. I could not recommend it more highly for those who want to return to a quiet, secluded, gorgeous home and setting after touring all that the Dingle Peninsula and area has to offer. I was even inspired to paint there. We can't wait to return!!!!!!!

A touch of luxury in a romantic setting

This place is absolutely amazing! We have been to quite a couple of self-catering cottages already, but none of them could come close to this one. Not a sign of that "hey, it's for tourists, so let's put in the cheapest stuff we can find" or "finally, a place for Grandma's furniture" attitude. No sir! Ann and Danny, the charming owners of this place, furnished it just as if they would intend to use it themselves. Quality as far as the eye can see. And so unbelievably quiet. Watching the sun set over the Irish sea (out of your window, if you like) while having a good pint of Guinness and not hearing a single noise will really make you feel like letting go of it all. So very cosy and romantic! Mind that if you want a busy city nightlife, this place is not for you. But if you love nature and quietude, you can hardly find any better. One week in this peaceful home close to the mountains, cliffs and beaches of the Dingle peninsula is worth two weeks elsewhere. So yes, we would return there anytime for taking in some more of Kerry's beauty and Ann's and Danny's hospitality!

Heavenly retreat

The biggest (and only) regret we had after staying at Carraig Beag was that we did not have more time there! This is a truly delightful property for couples looking for finely outfitted accomodations in a superb location. Dan and Ann spared no expense in building out the cottage--high end finishes and appliances. The location is ideally suited for exploring Dingle Peninsula and, after a full day of touring, you have a blissful retreat to return to. The views from the property our oustanding. Ann and Danny were just delightful hosts. We were truly sorry to leave, but look forward to returning!

Really fab place. My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights over the Easter break. Very luxurious yet practical space. Gas fire was very cosy and everything you need was available in the fully equipped kitchen. The property itself boasts beautiful views and landscaped gardens. Excellent choice for two people not requiring large accommodation. I would fully recommend it.

We stayed in Ireland for St Patricks day and this cottage was just perfect for our needs. The 'check-in' was so easy and we were made so welcome. I would recommend this to all my friends. Thank you for all your help.

My husband and I spent a wonderful and relaxing getaway-from-it-all weekend in this most beautiful part of Ireland. The bungalow was extremely comfortable - all brand new with top quality furnishings and fittings, and so cosy. The views and walks are just spectacular with charming pubs for a spot of "refreshment". We can highly recommend taking advantage of the cuisine cooked by Ann Crosby - absolutely delicious - and along with Ann's husband, Danny, you will come away knowing that you have two new best friends .....

My girlfriend and I very much enjoyed our recent holiday in this lovely part of Kerry. We are keen hill walkers and this was the ideal place to base ourselves - in amongst the countryside but not too far from civilization to find a good pint of Guinness or a local restaurant. The cottage is secluded and very nice indeed. You feel as though you're staying in a wealthy friend's house, or in a lovely hotel suite, rather than spending time in a holiday rental cottage. I'm trying to be critical and find a down side to it but nothing comes to mind. I'd strongly recommend it.
