Luxury aparment whit panoramic sea views

VRO Drøbak, Norway
Review Submitted: August 10, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We (Family with two children, 8 and 17 years and their grandparents) spent two wonderful weeks in the middle of July in this apartment. The apartment was very nice decorated, well equipped and had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Especially we liked the large terrace with a lovely sea view. The apartment is located in a quiet and secure area. The swimming pool was perfect for both children and adults. The underground parking, just opposite the lift to the apartment, made it easy handling the luggage and groceries. Supermarket/Bakery/Pub-internet café is a 5 minute walk. Restaurants in Juan les pin/Golfe Juan is a 20 minute walk. The owner was very reliably, helpful and quick to respond to our emails. We will recommend this apartment to everyone who wants to have a luxury stay in Juan les pin.

We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back soon.
Owner's Response: Thank you. You were perfect guests and we would love you to come again.

A wonderful Stay

Myself and my husband along with our almost two year old toddler had the pleasure of staying in this very spacious and beautifully turned out apartment in early September. The weather was glorious and the extremely attractive terrace made enjoying it very easy! The apartment is located very near to all important amenities and even though we had the use of a car, it would not be a necessity as all major areas were accessible by public transport. The domaine itself is very well turned out and secure with landscaped walkways and there is a very safe private swimming pool - the children's pool proved a particular hit and would suit very young babies and older children alike. It was very easy to enjoy our time in the apartment- some special touches were tealight candles for nighttime dining and a barbeque which got quite a lot of use! Our view from the apartment allowed us to take in a fireworks display from a brilliant vantage point and was a particular highlight. Previous reviewers have noted the proximity of the apartment to local amenities and a lovely beach and promenade at Juan les Pins is within walking distance too. Really the location of the apartment could not be better and we had a very pleasurable stay. The fact that all charges pertaining to staying in the apartment are covered in the rental price makes for a very straightforward stay and the owners were more than accommodating. We would recommend this apartment for all to stay in and would just note that young children with an eye for climbing would need to be supervised on the expansive terrace. We are looking forward to going back!

Lovely summer holiday at Juan Flore

Splinters Wiltshire, England
Review Submitted: October 13, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We had a lovely week in this beautiful apartment in August. Everything, including decoration, artwork and furnishings are to a very high standard. The weather was very hot but the apartment has an Air Conditioning unit in the hall, as well as the cool air system, which meant the bedrooms were very comfortable at night. The terrace is huge and child friendly with spectacular views over the Med to the Cap d'Antibes, it's fabulous to watch the huge yacht's anchored in the bay as well as all the watersports. The pool is fantastic with a great water feature, separate children's pool and a full-time lifeguard. The whole area is wonderful and the domaine itself is secure and superb.

The location is great, very close to bars, restaurants, shops ,supermarket and the beach, our two teenage grandaughters had a great time, loved the area and found loads of things to do.

Juan Les Pins, only 15 minutes walk along the beach, is a fantastic town and the marina in Golf Juan is also only 15 minutes walk away. Cannes and the Old town of Antibes are just a few minutes drive away or easy to get to using the public transport system.

We're going again in October and would recommend this apartment and location to anyone, including families.

We have just returned from a fabulous week at the apartment. It is beautifully furnished to a very high standard and is extremely comfortable for 6 people. The terrace is indeed a high point, as it provides so much outdoor space for sunbathing, eating and general lazing about - the canopies over the outdoor seating and dining areas allow just the right amount of shade without cutting out any light or ambience. The pool also provides a welcome diversion, and is very safe for little ones with a separate area, whilst the slide gives a bit more excitement as well. The domaine is very well situated with plenty to do, whether it is a quick trip to the supermarket or bakers, or a leisurely stroll to a bar or restaurant. We had a fantastic break and hope to return before long - thank you George and Jane for being so helpful and sharing your home in the sun!

Luxury sea view holiday apartment

Antibes Tourist Mexico, Distrito Federal, Mexico
Review Submitted: June 30, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
The apartment itself is beautiful, brand new, and spacious. The balcony is large with lovely partial ocean views. The location of the apartment is close to the beach, which is nice. (The beach itself is sand but the there are pebbles starting about 10 meters in front of the water and continuing into the water.) In terms of getting around you'd want a car. (We didn't have one.) Without a car you could take either the train or the bus, both of which have their drawbacks: The train station is a hike. We walked it a couple of times and ended up taking taxis from the train station a couple of other times, which were 15-20 Euros. The bus station is closer, but buses stop running after 9:00pm.

Also, while we were there, the pool was closed the entire two weeks. I am not sure if the landlord knew about this ahead of time or not, but it was also closed for the previous tenants. I probably would not have booked the apartment without the pool.

Finally we had some trouble contacting the agents to look over the property together before leaving. This led to some disagreements over the condition of the property.
Owner's Response: It's really unfortunate about the pool, we did not know it was not working, it had been working before when we left and were assured it would be working before Jeff and his family arrived but it had a pump failure just before they arrived. We did not know the actual situation until part way through their visit, it took a few days for the new pump to arrive and be fitted, it then took some days to get the pool back in chemical balance, it opened on the Saturday that Jeff and his family left!

I agree about his comments regarding a car, if you want to visit the local area and you should because there are some spectacular villages close by, rent a car for a few days, the major rentors including EuropeCar will deliver and collect from the apartment and the apartment has a garage.

We'll check on why he had difficulty contacting the agents, they are available 24/7.

We had a wonderful holiday at the apartment end of May/beginning of June. The apartment was as great as it looks on the pictures on the website. It is very spacious and beautifully furnished. We had everything we need for a perfect stay. There is a supermarket and a fantastic bakery nearby which was very convenient. The owner was friendly and quick to respond to our e-mails. We would definitely recommend and hope to return.
Owner's Response: Thank you, we're so pleased you had a nice time and enjoyed our apartment, we would love you to come again.
