Stunning Views and Immaculate Accomodation

Benboy Oswestry
Review Submitted: June 27, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We stayed here for 2 weeks in May and have re-booked for next year, unbeatable views you could be anywhere in the world from this villa. The sunrise and sunset are stunning, the sea is crystal blue and the mountains are lush and green, the interior was superb, with beautiful flowers a huge range cooker and the garden was full of flowers and fruit trees which surround the pool which is completely private.

There is a second garden which is home to a rescued tortoice who comes to visit every now and again as do the local goats.

There is a lovely walk down through the local village with its narrow streets to local restaurants and a number of fish restaurants, tavernas are dotted in the most unexpected of places and the beach is tiny pebbles with lots of room for sunbathing alone or next to the little caravans with sunbeds which serve food, drinks and ice cream.

The locals are only to happy to help, there is a regular bus service which can take you to any part of the island, there is so much to see on Rhodes and Lindos was breathtaking.

The road up to the villa is a bit bumpy and has no lighting but this wasnt a real problem as we had a hire car, a torch is recommended if walking at night.

The property was cleaned regularly as was the pool, we were visited by a representative of the owner the day after our arrival and there was lots of literature and books about the island in the property, reading books, dvd's and cd's were supplied and we also had a welcome pack upon our arrival.

The bedrooms were lovely with plenty of storage space and the beds were comfortable, the views from this height was superb. The balconies were large and had seating areas.

All in all we had a great holiday, the weather was lovely every day, the food was very good everywhere and the prices very reasonable. Cant wait for next year

Dear Lyn,

We have enjoyed the 2 weeks in the villa.
It was a perfect accommodation for us with four people.
The most we liked the pool and the view to the sea.
On every moment of the day it is possible to sit in the sunshine or if you like in the shadow on the terraces.
Inside we enjoyed the comfort of good beds, the bathroom and the kitchen.
The period end of July and 1st week of August was extremely warm so that in the bedrooms the fan was very welcome.
Also the refrigerator for the cool drinks couldn’t be missed.
On Rhodes island is a lot to see and in the neighborhood of the villa we have found several beautiful beaches and restaurants were we have enjoyed the Greek food.
It’s a pity that the 2 weeks gone so fast.
Thanks for everything and perhaps see you next time.

Great time Great place,Facilities were excellent as was the walks from the villa, the sea view was fantastic and the tortoise was adored by the children, the gardens were private with lots of different fruits and bushes and it was all spotless, very good fun, We hired a car for a week from a recommended firm close by and went all round the island and there is a lot to see,and do.The week without a car we spent in the villa by the pool it was quiet and peacful.

What a view from the property there is. My wife was so excited she got up early to watch the sunrise over Turkey it was superb much better than described in the ad.

The property was beautifully decorated with stunning flower arrangements and we had a lovely 2 weeks.

The Konstantin restaurant is excellent in all ways and the Olive Grove are very friendly happy helpful people. Lots to do and see in this part of Rhodes well worth a visit. Would recommend this Villa

Fun in the Sun

We visited the Villa in late June, my husband, myself and our 2 children.

The weather was beautiful and the views were even better than we had imagined, the villa itself was perfect for what we wanted, a the kids spent most of the time in the pool; We didnt have to go out that often as everything we needed was in the close vacinity a real home from home.

There was lots of room in the kitchen which wasfitted with a big range cooker and this made a huge difference to our budget also plenty of pots and pans plates utensils etc

Although it was very warm weather the inside of the villa was cool as there a shutters at every window to keep the sun out plus light lined curtains which also helped to keep it cool.

The bedrooms also had ovehead fans which was great.

We would definately recommend this property to our friends and anyone looking for that special place to remember as the views are out of this world.

Holiday 24th June to 8th July 2009

My husband, daughter and myself stayed in Lynne's Villa in mid June. We have to say that the last review is incredibly inaccurate, the pool, the maid service, the villa, its furnishings, its accessories, a welcome pack (which we pre-booked at the time of paying our deposit) all of the services were to the standard that we would expect.

We have some great photographs of family holiday which will show quite clearly that there were plenty of outside furniture for all us, we ever left behind our lilos and giant inflatable octupus which almost filled pool, we tried to upload pictures with a review but cannot, shame as they look great.

We found there was no need for air-conditioning (we knew when we booked that there was no a/c as the advert doesn't say there is) and to be honest because the villa is situated at the very top of the village, pearched on the mountain side, the wind although warm (as average temperatures during our hols was 38 degrees) was plenty when the doors and windows were open on both sides of the property. Breathtaking views from every angle of this Villa, 180 degree sea views to the front and pool side and to the rear pine forests and nice walks.

This was not our first visit to Rhodes we have been visitors since our daughter was born almost 10 days years, we stayed in small hotels and then villas for the past 4 years and will indeed visit this one again as its comands privacy and also within close vacinity of great beaches, local shops and resturants.

see you next year and thank you for a wonderful stay in your beautiful home.

A Huge Disappointment

Very Unfortunate Edinburgh
Review Submitted: July 23, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We stayed in the villa in mid-July and were immediately disappointed on finding our ’luxury’ accommodation. Bags of rubbish and building materials filled the driveway, meaning that our rental car had to be parked on the dirt track outside the villa. These remained for the duration of our stay.

The promised ‘meet and greet’ at the villa did not happen. This customer’s welcome was a key in the door and a bucket and mop on the doorstep. No-one representing the owner came to see us throughout our week’s stay, nor did anyone come to clean the villa; only the pool.

Further inspection of the property revealed that there was no air-conditioning, only ceiling fans in the two bedrooms- nothing downstairs meaning that the living area became unbearably hot. Certainly not a luxury experience!

At the swimming pool we found only two sun-loungers (and a broken garden chair) with very dirty cushions on them. The practice seemed to be that these were kept out all day and night as there was no where for them to be stored indoors. The parasol, a very prominent feature in the photographs, was eventually located in a storage area below the pool, broken and unusable, together with, amongst other things, an old washing machine and a broken satellite TV dish. Needless to say we did not have these facilities in the villa itself.

The complete privacy promised in the villa’s description was also lacking. The villa is overlooked by another house, still under construction, with the large group of workmen who appeared daily from early morning to late afternoon, able to watch our every move in the pool and garden. We were also surprised to find that this detached property was in fact above an apartment also rented out by the owner, with access to this via the villa’s driveway.

While we would recommend this area for those looking for an enjoyable experience of Rhodes, we simply have nothing positive to say about this accommodation and would not recommend it to anyone.
Owner's Response: Thank you to the visitors that wrote this review and also for the fire that happened in the property, it destroyed a fire blanket, this was then hidden , also a candle holder, glasses and candles which had been lit under a hand made flower and vase decoration, this also set on fire the toilet mat whilst trying to put the fire out, plus the table it was all stood on, the curtains had to be sent to the dry cleaners and the walls repainted before any other visitors arrived.

This must be the reason as to why the cleaner could not gain access. The guests were delayed by some hours and the lady who attends the property had to leave to welcome other guests leaving the key in the door which is standard practise in Greece, she returned on the next cleaning day but could not gain access as the door was locked.

Sunloungers are supplied in the propperty dependant upon the number of guests ie, 2 guests equate to two loungers, four guests 4 loungers

We do have two private storerooms on the propertyfor staff use only as the villa does sleep 8 these are used for the storage of garden furniture, extra bedding, cleaning materials, tools etc
