BEAUTIFUL WELL EQUIPPED SPACIOUS MODERN COTTAGE

Review Submitted: August 26, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
There is nothing negative to say about Veitys whatsoever. The cottage was everything we had hoped for and more.It was a peaceful location but an excellent base for which to explore Somerset and all it has to offer.A week really was not long enough for us.A couple of lovely places to eat was The Swan and Table Eight ( Indian Restaurant ) which were both in Wedmore a 2 minute drive away.Veritys itself was clean, modern, comfortable, well equipped and private. If we were to visit Somerset in the future, we would not go any further than Veritys or even one of the other 2 propetries at Box Farm which looked equally as nice. Thanks Eve for having us, and the groceries were much appreciated on arrival !!
Owner's Response: Thank you so much Kevin and Julie, what a lovely review. It would be lovely to have you and your famil stay again.

Relaxing Holiday in Ideal Location

Mat and Jude Hampshire
Review Submitted: October 14, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
Our stay at the beautiful Verity's cottage was wonderful! The welcome pack was a lovely start to our holiday, especially the homemade bread. Everything was spotlessly clean and well equipped with all the mod cons. The cottage is spacious enough to share with friends and has the added bonus of two gorgeous bathrooms. It felt very luxurious compared to other holiday lets and we really appreciated the Wi-Fi access.

The view from the private patio area was beautiful, idylic and great for a bbq. Our young son loved the garden toys and we struggled to remove him from the trampoline!

Eve and Vince were very welcoming, but gave us our own space throughout. The one time we required assistance, Vince was instantly on hand to deal with it promptly.

This was a thoroughly relaxing holiday in an ideal location to explore Somerset. We wholly recommend this property to any family looking for a home from home. Thanks again!
Owner's Response: Thanks Mat and Jude. You are welcome anytime.

A fantastic cottage - 5 stars

Brian & Jill Edinburgh, UK
Review Submitted: September 13, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
We're just back from a fantastic week-long break at Verity's Cottage. The setting is beautiful, with far-reaching views over the countryside, and the cottage itself is very well-appointed, spacious, comfortable, and private. There were just the two of us, but it would easily sleep four, and the two bathrooms are very nice. The cottage has been restored in fine fashion - in keeping with the age of the place, but with all mod cons. It's even nicer in reality than the photographs suggest! The free wi-fi was a real bonus too.

The location, just a mile or so from Wedmore, is a great base to explore the surrounding area; we found nowhere was really too far away. Just to echo the reviews of others: Wilkins Farm is well worth a visit - and worth a purchase too, if you like the cider which is offered in half pint samples! Very reasonable prices and an experience you won't forget!

Thanks to Eve and Vince for their kindness. We will certainly be recommending Verity's to friends and family, and we'll be back.
Owner's Response: Hello Brian and Jill, Thank you for taking the time to send a review - much appreciated. Glad to hear you had such a good time. Hope to see you in the future.

Our wonderful week at Verity's Cottage

Jen and Gareth Buckinghamshire
Review Submitted: August 4, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We stayed at Verity's Cottage in late May 2009 and had a wonderful week which was enjoyed by the whole family.
The cottage is extremely well equipped and spotlessly clean. The bathrooms are beautiful and the beds a joy to sink into after days spent around the wealth of attractions this part of Somerset has to offer.
Our young children loved the garden with swing, and enjoyed making friends with the dog, whilst we enjoyed a glass of wine on the patio in the sun (yes, the sun shone in May!).
We arrived to find a basket of goodies left by our hosts - most welcome after a long journey. We would recommend this as an excellent place for a family holiday.

Fantastic UK Holiday

Adam & Hannah Sheffield
Review Submitted: July 14, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
Slightly dubious about a holiday in the UK but from the moment we typed in the code to the gate, things started to look up!
The cottage was in excellent condition with all the amenities you would require for a week away. We had a relaxing week using the brilliant location of the cottage to start our many trips out to Wells, Glastonbury, Cheddar, Bath, and many other places.
The two must visits for any stay here would be Wilkin's Cider Farm and Table Eight Restaurant in Wedmore.
Would highly recommend this cottage to friends and family.
Owner's Response: Thank you so much Adam and Hannah for taking the time to write this review - much appreciated and glad you enjoyed your holiday.

beautiful and peaceful cottage

Review Submitted: June 28, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
We stayed here for one week and found this to be a spotlessly clean, comfortable, well appointed, and well presented property, in a quiet and peaceful location. The private patio area was pleasant for meals, for drinks, and for just sitting and relaxing. The cottage was pleasant to return to at the end of a busy day out. The "welcome" groceries were a thoughtful extra which we appreciated very much. We were visiting relatives but managed to fit in enjoyable trips to Wells, Street and Wedmore. The latter is a delighful village and we recommend lunch (and purchases) at the Pumpkin Seed delicatessan. We would be happy to return to this cottage in the future, and are recommending it to friends.
Owner's Response: Thank you Liz and Patrick. We would love to welcome you and your friends again.

Great place to stay

Dan & Mary Utah, USA
Review Submitted: June 23, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
We were extremely pleased with our accomodation at Veritys cottage. The property exceeded our expectations considerably. The facilities were modern and clean, the furnishings were comfortable.

The cottage proved to be a wonderful base from which to explore this part of the country. Our trips to Wells, Glastonbury, Salisbury, Cheddar and Bath were easily completed (once I figured out how to drive on the left-hand side of the road). Don't miss the opportunity to visit the local cider farm - an unforgettable way to experience Somerset hospitality.

Our hosts were wonderful, ensuring that we were wanting for nothing. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

Easter Break

Review Submitted: June 2, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
We (2 adults, 2 children 7 yrs and 8 month old baby) stayed for 4 nights over Easter. We found the property as described and were very impressed with the standard and location. Our eldest son liked the playing field with goal etc. Eve was very helpful and anwsered all our questions and provided a cot and high chair. Would recommend. Never did get the Wifi to work though!
Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. I am so sorry that you didn't get the wifi to work, I would have sorted it for you immediately if I had known. Apologies.
