Review Submitted: September 12, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
My girlfriend and I has a great long weekend in this apartment last week. The town is nice with markets, harbour-side views, etc. and walkable distance to Collioure. Great beaches are close by as well for some good snorkelling. The apartment is complete with everything you may need (including a good collection of dvds), the booking and key-reception process is quite smooth and managed in a very friendly way, the view from the apartment is very nice and the apartment website is definitely worth a look before you go with lots of information about the area. Great

Such a Wonderful Get Away

We loved our stay at this stylish apartment in Port Vendres. The location was terrific and the town and area are fun. We have rented several apartments int he past and this one was by far the best. They had everything we wanted and plenty of dishes. We were able to have a dinner party for eleven. The kids loved the games that they had available and the movie library too.

What a great location and host. Mike has been so helpful. Top-notch apartment full of lovely touches like comfy couches and DVD library. Nicely furnished kitchen, high quality sheets, super clean, roomy, tastefully decorated. I could go on and on. Suffice it to say that we were pleased and felt at home with our family of 4, including 2 teen daughters. We've made lifelong memories and this temporary residence will always be remembered. Stay here if you are in the area.

2+ 2 teenagers, excellent stay...

Review Submitted: August 10, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
We enjoyed the appartment very much as it was easy to keep, had all we needed of practical equipment, it was enough space and very convenient located, next to the Port Vendre and close to Collioure. 2 separate bedrooms with good matresses and quiet area. Weliked the location as it was close to the water. We also discovered that the local baker (Leonard) spoke Norwegian and had lived in Norway for 8 years. Nice guy. Port Vendre is a great location for daytrips in a very historical, pitoresque and interesting region of France/ Spain and yes... We would like to come back here.

A nice stay in Port Vendres

Review Submitted: August 9, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
I had the pleasure to spend the first week of August 2009 in this appartment. You'll appreciate it for the comfort and the full equipement (airco, modern furnitures, LCD TV with home theatre...). You can enjoy the many shop and restaurants bording the harbour (very nearby the appartment) and the small market each sunday. From this location, you can drive to Collioure (about 5 km) and appreciate the sweetness of a typic catalan town, matching sun, good food and wine with farniente..

Excellent apartment in a nice village

Review Submitted: August 4, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
The apartment is excellent and a good base for exploring the region. Location in calm but you have access to many of the exiting spots in the region.
The apartment home page is very informative and the booking is smooth. The local key host is very freindly and service minded. Apartment is great, new and well furbished. In the end of July we espeically appreciated the AC making it possible to sleep at night. The garage is good too, picking up a car that has not been in the sun is nice.

All together a great place and an excellent service. We will come back!

Mike's place in France

We enjoyed our stay in Port Vendres enormously this year. Both the accommodation and the town itself were wonderful. We especially enjoyed visiting the "Cave" just round the corner where 2 litre empty water bottles could be filled with the finest local 13% red wines for 2.5 Euros a litre. The wine was perfect and it was no surprise to discover the same wine at 7 Euros a bottle in the shops. Delicious desert wines such as Muscat and Banyuls could also be purchased at a snip in the same way. The weather was beautiful and it was good that so many other places to visit were only a stonesthrow away. The petit train touristique is a lovely way to get to and from Collioure, the return journey coming through the local vinyards and hills. We will definitely return in the near future and stay in the same appartment which offers high quality modern accommodation, is quiet yet so close to the resort and picturesque harbour.

Port-Vendres A Spectacular Place And Apartment

Izzey Leicester, Uk
Review Submitted: July 23, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
July 2009 - Experienced the pleasure of staying in this beautiful apartment in Port-Vendres.

The apartment is newly built and furnished to a very high standard with everything you could possibly expect to need being provided.
If comfort and quality is what you are looking for this apartment will not disappoint you.

We particularly liked the nice touch of free postcards to use, sent to all our friends back home, thank you.

The views from the bedrooms and patio are just as spectacular as the photographs shown in the Photo Gallery section of the web site, no airbrushing or magic photography used here.

The Port itself is a very colourful place, great views lined with plenty of restaurants offering a variety choice of foods to eat within set prices, specialising in locally caught fish.

We would highly recommend the Ronde des Pains across the road from the apartment for Croissants and French Bread in the mornings.

Like other comments in the Guest Book section of the web site we went to Collioure by boat one day and by road train the next day, would recommend both ways. The road train returns through the vineyards with spectacular scenery and views please do not forget to take your camera.

Whilst only a short break for us the only disappointing part of our holiday for us was being too short.

It has given us a taste of something quite spectacular in every way so only a matter of time before we return.

Port Vendres Holiday

Buffs London
Review Submitted: July 10, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
We had a fantastic week in Port Vendres. The apartment was in a great location, thoughtfully kitted out with everything we needed and the perfect base to explore the surrounding area. Port Vendres itself, though small, has everything you need, pattiseries, restaurants, bars, supermarkets, banks, and an incredible fish market. It is a proper deep water port and thus not as pretty as it's neighbour Collioure but a more a more interesting and down to earth place because of it. There were lovely walks to do nearby and beautiful coves to stumble across. I would recommend hiring a car as there were some beautiful beaches and interesting towns a 5/10 minute drive away. We were lucky that we had extremely good weather while we were there but we all agreed that there would still be a lot to do and see if the weather had turned out to be not so good. I will definitely be recommending a trip to Port Vendres to friends and family and I would definitely recommend booking this apartment.

Port Vendres Visit

Liz22 West Yorkshire
Review Submitted: June 16, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
We had a wonderful time in Port-Vendres. The apartment was great and more than surpassed our expectations. The arrangements with your contact in France worked perfectly for opening up the apartment and leaving. Port-Vendres has lots of character with plenty of lovely seafood restaurants, interesting excursions and wonderful views along the "littoral sentier" coastal paths. A half hour leisurely walk takes you to Collioure, more touristy but interesting to visit. A lovely relaxing week for everyone.
