Amazing Holiday

Review Submitted: May 18, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2007
Stayed in one of Jill's townhouses last September. What an experience, so clean, well equipped and presented with such great style, you cannot fail to be impressed.
The area offers much variety, amazing beach, fantastic local restuarants.
Perfect if you are wanting to relax or sight see in the local area.
We flew into Faro but Seville would have been just as good, great road system easy to get around.
Will be going back every year until I am old and grey

Owner's Response: This guest has stayed in our townhouse twice, September 2007 and February 2006.
Very pleased to get repeat bookings, we now have two
regular guests who have both stayed with us twice, they are enjoying the area as much as we do.
We have been visiting the area for tha last 4 years
(staying in the house since 2005) at various times of the year and still we have a lot to explore.
Our boys are 11 years and 4 years old and think it's great and do not want to go anywhere else!

Nice holidays in Nuevo Portil!!

Review Submitted: October 23, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We rent both houses from 16th to 30 th august last summer. It was a good choice because both houses were fantastic and we spent a nice two-weeks holiday.
We were 14-15 people and found good accomodation on them. Both houses are well equipped, clean rooms, very comfortable (and neccesary) A/C. The only little objection is that bed-sofas in both houses are a little bit old and perhaps a bit uncomfortable for adults. Anyway the owner knows the problem and I suposse they'll solve it. The common pool was fantastic for us, because we had five children and they enjoyed it when we didn't go to the beach. Highly recommended for families with children.

Owner's Response: I had the pleasure to meet this guest and his family this summer. What a lovely family, welcome back anytime.

The Sofabeds are Spanish Sofa beds measuring 133cm x 174cm, they will have an extra padded mattress topper for next summer, so hopefully making them more comfortable and the sofa covers will be deep cleaned.

All the other beds in the house are full size.

Casa Azul

Review Submitted: August 18, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
Confortalble house in a nice place. Recommeded for families with children. we were lucky to find this house the first time in Huelva. Probably we repeat once every year (at least one week) and relax.
Recommended for:  Families with Young Children
Owner's Response: I have two houses on the same complex, making it ideal for large groups.
Mar stayed with her family in Casa Azul, which is south facing onto the pool.
The area is very poular with Spanish families from all over Spain.
Very happy to communicate in Spanish via email. Local agent is fluent in Spanish.
Look forward to welcoming Mar and her family back any time! lovely family.

Perfect Holiday

Tishy Dublin, Republic of Ireland
Review Submitted: August 4, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
We had a wonderful stay at the Casa for 4 weeks this summer. Mum, Dad, 10,8,4 and 5 month old boys and granny for 1st two weeks. The booking process from beginning to end was the most professional and easiest ever. Predeparture pack left nothing to chance, directions etc perfect. The information folder in the Casa gave a wealth of valuable info on locality, menu tips and tour advice and recommendations. The Casa was very clean, spacious, plenty of room for 8, a real home from home. Great kitchen with laundry area, very well equipped for large family, all rooms extremely well equipped to a high specification, some paddle raquets and toys for kids and SKY TV, delighted Cot and highchair were available and underground parking. Very safe in a gated community. For Sun lovers the Balconies were great, finished your swim in the Lifeguarded pool, relax by the pool or relax with a glass on one of the supplied loungers on either balcony. Some lovely meals were eaten on the spacious gated patio. It was only 7 minutes walk to delightful reasonably priced bars, ice cream parlours, shops, cafes and restaurants. The beautiful sandy beach was a 10 minute walk and was very clean and had plenty of showers. There is a beautiful 30 minute nature walking route alongside. There were also nightly stalls selling lovely scarves, ethnic clothing, sweets, handmade toys etc along the beachfront and some bumper cars, bouncy slides etc. Other restaurants, Large supermarkets and shops in nearby towns were reached between 5 and 20 minutes in the car.The Lifeguarded pool and paddle courts were great for the children and a lot of the local restaurants had play areas alongside or in front were you could eat, drink and keep an eye on the children. There are plenty of playgrounds for younger children nearby and football pitches for nightly matches with other tourists or the locals! We took trips to lots of nearby towns Cartaya, Punta Umbria, El Rompido and went to Seville for a day that took 90 minutes including time to park. We went to the Caves in Aracena which took just 2 hours well worth the trip.
The setting of the Casa was very relaxing and tranquil yet lively enough for us and the children. The town was busy, people eating, chatting, children playing, never a bothersome crowd or any nuisance. Upon return i have recommended the casa to everyone. Familys, Girlies, Couples.I think it suits everyone whatever type of holiday. We feel we really found a gem in Nuevo Portil and the Casa.

wonderful holiday to real Spain

We have stayed at Casa Azul twice now, as the area provides everything we need for a chilled out relaxing holiday with 2 young children in a peaceful location. The townhouse is really well equipped with everything you need for a family holiday, plus more. The kitchen is brilliant with microwave, coffee machine, washing machine and dishwasher and a huge fridge to keep the wine chilled! We ate in a lot so having such a well equppied kitchen was a bonus.
The house itself is very clean & comfortable, with loads of room for the 6 of us who went the first year. The agents who met us are really helpful too.
The area is lovely and the long sandy beach is brilliant for kids. There was hardly anyone on the beach when we went in Spetember which was fantastic, the kds could have as much space as they needed to play.
There are some great local Spanish restaurants serving fresh fish, (our favourite was Las Dunas) & the surf shack next to the beach which served fantastic bugers!
Overall we would recommend this to anyone looking to go to 'real Spain'. We flew to Saville and Faro and when we go again (yes we will go again!) Seville would be the favoured airport as we will stay overnight there on the return sight seeing.
Thanks for a great holiday!
