We booked Verano Casero as we thought it would be the perfect holiday for our three year old toddler. This is the first time we have stayed in a villa, and could not have picked anything better, it is truly outstanding. It lived up to my expectations in every sense of the word, and I would not hesitate in recommending this to my family and friends.

The web site is very accurate, and Kate provides an excellent customer service, which is sadly lacking in some of the better hotels we have stayed in.

The interior of the villa is of a very high standard, beautifully clean and well maintained. This has been ideal for our little girl as when we were relaxing by the pool she could watch t.v. The villa is also very secure, so no running back and forth after the little one!!

Town centre is only a 15 minute walk, were there are some lovely fish restaurants.

I will be returning next year, as we were able to relax in a beautiful environment. Thank you Kate.

Having chosen the villa from the description and pictures we were not disappointed. The villa was very well maintained and clean with ther personal touch throughout. We have stayed in villas before and this was one of the nicest.

Kate provides excellent information and customer service. We would definitely recommend the villa to family and friends.

We had excellent weather for end of October so we spent most days by the pool relaxing. We ate in local restaurants which were very nice and Playa Blanca is a lovely resort. Car hire is not essential as it only takes 15 minutes to walk to the resort.

My son and husband enjoyed diving with the diving centre at the Marina which was very professional. We will certainly return to this villa in the future.

We spent a week in September 2009 and had a lovely relaxing time. The description of the villa was accurate it is kept beautifully clean and tidy. Everything we needed was there.

Booking was easy and Kate was very helpful in arranging airport transfers.

Local information was readily available and help on hand if needed. There was no need for a car as the walk to the beach was a nice 10 -15 minute stroll. The pool was lovely and warm so a great for just cooling off when you got a bit too hot laying on the comfy sunloungers.

We will definitately be returning.

Great for families with toddlers / babies

We visited Verano Casero with our two year old son. The villa was exactly what we needed: spacious, immaculate, on one level, enclosed garden (front and back), two bedrooms, washing machine and a lovely comfy sofa! It was a short stroll to the seafront with lots of different restaurants to choose from, most very child friendly. And for those nights in it was great to catch up on our box set of The Wire with our toddler safely tucked up in bed!

On booking the villa Kate was exceptionally helpful and friendly and you can tell that the villa has been developed with real love.

We planned to have a fairly static holiday, and having discussed it with Kate didn't hire a car. The villa manager picked us up from the airport and took us to the supermarket once we'd unpacked so we could get all the heavy stuff. We were happy just to stay in the resort. Next time we will get out and explore!

I would (and have) recommended this villa to friends. I especially think it's great with kids, having suffered package hotel holidays with everyone in one room or having to sit inside at nap time. Verano Casero gives you the flexibility for family holidays and is a great home from home. An added bonus is the pool is heated and is warm and great fun whatever the weather.

We will definitely go again.

Our wonderful holiday!

We have rented a few properties abroad but I have to say this one was the best by far. We stayed for a week at Villa Verano Casero and used the time to just chill out and relax with our daughter. We spent the majority of our time by the pool and eating in the local restaurants that were recommended to us.

The property was well-maintained and beautifully furnished with no expense spared. It was immaculately clean (even in the area's you wouldn't normally see ie. under the beds etc). I am quite a fussy person and was pleased to see that the linen and cutlery were impeccable!

The owner's website was very well presented and informative. We especially found the quick links to checking flights very helpful. There were beautiful photo's of the villa as well and when we arrived it was exactly how the web site showed it.

The owner was extremely helpful and prior to going we received written confirmation for our holiday, this also included terms and conditions along with a map and directions for the property. The directions from the airport were accurate and we had no problems finding the villa from the airport. The owner also helped us to find a suitable car hire company which was reasonably priced (as sometimes these things can be a bit of a 'mind field'). If we were unsure about anything the owner was always a phone call away and never minded us giving her a quick 'bell'.

Excellent customer service I have to say, we were particularly impressed when we arrived at the Villa and there was a bottle of 'bubbly' and some chocolates waiting for us - nice touch!! We also received our 'breakages' deposit back within a couple days of coming home, that was a bonus instead of having to chase these things up.

I would definitley reccommend this Villa to others - a little gem in paradise!

I stayed in this beautiful Villa in March this year and had a wonderful stay. The Villa has everything you could possibly need and is in a lovely quiet residential area of Papagayo. The views of the hills to the rear of the property are spectacular and complement the location of the villa. There is a large patio and barbecue area with a wonderful pool to relax in. Kate the owner is fantastic with great attention to detail which made our stay so memorable.

The villa was excellent, even better than advertised. It is in a quiet location and has beautiful views of the mountains.
The villa was very clean and is equipped to a high standard and well maintained.
The personal service we received from the owner Kate when booking and Colm and Julie the agents when we arrived and while we were there was excellent.
We would highly recommend this property to friends and family and are hoping to go back again soon ourselves.
Plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from in Playa Blanca / Rubicon Marina and La Rustica restaurant near the port is well worth a visit.

Verano Casero

Review Submitted: July 14, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2008
Over the years we have frequently rented high end self catering accomodation abroad but none has quite matched up to Verano Casero in terms of quality.

When we crossed the threshold of Verano Casero, the 'wow' factor hit us immediately. The accommodation is extremely spacious, well equipped, effortlessly stylish and spotlessly clean.

The two bedrooms/2 bathrooms and generous living accommodation make it a perfect retreat for 2 or 4 people. The additional sunroom provides further living/dining space and faces the extensive private pool and barbeque area giving the villa an added dimension whilst retaining a boutique feel.

The owners have put a huge amount of thought into every aspect of Verano Casero and this makes it an extremely special place - the sort of place you could quite easily spend a week in without going out of it's boundary, so nice and private is the space, both inside and out.

There is also support on hand from the villa managers who live a couple of doors down and nothing is too much trouble for them.

The villa is about a 15 minute walk from the beach but it's a nice walk and nice that the villa is away from the hubbub of the town. That said, Playa Blanca is a quiet family-orientated resort with something for everyone. The restaurants, particularly in the Marina area, are of a high quality.

Sightseeing on the island is great with the volcanic area and Manrique's house museum being of particular interest.

In summary, we thought Verano Casero was fantastic ( a real find) and would have no hesitation in returning/recommending it to others.

The perfect Honeymoon Villa!

amy28 London
Review Submitted: July 13, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We spent our honeymoon here in May 2009. The villa was absolutely perfect! With all the creature comforts of home, Kate has thought of everything. We hardly needed to buy anything as it was all in the villa, from soap in the bathrooms to clingfilm in the kitchen - very important!!

The villa is very private and not overlooked. Close enough to walk to the local shops, restaurants and beach, but also very cheap in a taxi.

I would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a quiet get away.

The best villa I have EVER visited!

Jayne Bond Manchester, UK
Review Submitted: July 12, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2008
Well, what can I say Kate, this villa is designed and furnished to the highest standard. I have only stayed somewhere once of this standard and that had 6 stars!

It's difficult going on holiday as you usually can not take all of your home comforts with you but at your villa it wasn't a problem as everything has been carefully thought about and supplied. Even the safety of having the villa alarmed makes you feel comfortable going out if you have never visited the island before.

The one thing I found really helpful was that Colm and Julie are on hand for help with the villa, advice on where to eat, what/where to visit and even help to do the dreaded 1st trip to the supermarket!

I will definitely be visiting again Kate and have advised anyone who will listen to me to book your villa before they book anywhere else!

Thanks so much for sharing this amazing place, see you again soon xx
