this villa is outstanding and location great. the pictures do not do it justice at all. its a quiet haven from the late nights out and will soothe that hangover away. the owners keep the gardens manicured and feeling lush. would highly recommend this to anyone and hope to return one day

My husband and I and our two best friends have just returned from a most wonderful stay at Halcyon: a first time villa and Ibiza experience for all of us and one which we will definitely repeat.
Halcyon is your ultimate 5* super villa, situated in idyllic, tranquil, perfectly-manicured palm-filled gardens with stunning views of the coast. Secluded and tranquil yet perfectly positioned to take a advantage of all Ibiza has to offer; all the best beaches and restaurants nearby and Ibiza town a short drive away.
The villa itself was immaculate and everything you could want or need catered for including a fully stocked professional kitchen, a beautiful covered outdoor bbq area with more picture postcard views down to the sea, luxurious bathrooms and bedrooms alike and of course the all important swimming pool which we lazed around most days. If you like outdoor living Halcyon has that extra-special feel aswell, with top of the range outdoor furniture both by the pool and under the exotic canopy attached to the house where we would lounge on the sofas having long lunches!
MaryAnn and Steve, our hosts, were terrific and made our holiday extra special. We will be going back!

Being a Ibiza veteran (early 40's!) we are always very careful about chosing our villas for holidays on the island, especially with 2 small kids. Halycion is a real find and we have already reserved for next year. The grounds are outstanding and well protected, and the interior is also of a very high standard with lots of good space. The kitchen is by far the best kitchen I have used on my stays and the owners are clearly foodies so no need to worry about utentials. My only advise is that if there are 2 couples staying make sure you bag the master bedroom as its amazing, though all other bedrooms are great and of equal size.
Finally it is great to have Maryann close by as she nver gets in the way but is always available to help out with any questions or give restaurant tips....A great stay !

Quality time at Halcyon

We have stayed in the villa already 5 times and highly recommend it! Our children also love it, since there is plenty of space for them to play and explore, or to go for nice walks. The owners take very good care of the property and of their guests. It is a fantastic place to just relax and enjoy life. Because of it's very good location, many good beaches and restaurants are in easy reach. Also the airport and Ibiza Town are relatively close by. We are again returning! Renate & Maarten

We stayed at the Halcyon Villa in September 2008 when we came to Ibiza for our sons wedding and really enjoyed our stay. The villa was clean and very well equiped. The owners were staying in the casita next door and while not intrusive were on hand to assist when required. The cleanining lady came 6 days out of 7 and was particularly friendly. A car is definately required as although it is reasonably near the village of St Joseph I would not recommend walking, particularly at night as there are no pavements and no street lights. Hope you find this information helpful.
Owner's Response: We are of course delighted when our guests have a great stay and I remember this family well. I was asked to arrange for a bouquet of flowers to be on the bed in the master bedroom for when the Mother of the Groom arrived which I was delighted to do! It was an emotional moment and so lovely. We always recommend our guests hire a car even though we are so close to the village of Sant Josep. They are so cheap from approximately 20 euros a day (taxi from the airport to the villa approx 20 euros) and give you the independence to explore the many stunning beaches and little village hideaways and superb restaurants at your leisure. We can arrange for a chauffeur car on those special nights out too!

We have stayed at Halcyon three times! Ibiza is a great holiday destination and Halcyon is stylish, peaceful yet only 10minutes away from the best beaches and restaurants on the island and 30 mins from Ibiza Town.
It is a very spacious villa with an amazing pool that you almost don't want to leave.It is well furnished with a new kitchen that has more gadgets than I have at home! There is an outdoor barbeque area with a large table to eat at. It is very clean and well maintained with a very efficient (and quiet) air conditioning system in all the bedrooms.The owners of the villa stay nearby and are available to advise on memorable days out. We have hired a boat to got to Formentera and eat at the wonderful Juan and Andrea restaurant.
The children love Halcyon. The room layout means we can take friends with us and then adults and children can enjoy the perfect holiday.
Our family can't recommend this villa highly enough. If you go you will want to go back again and again.

We stayed at the Halcyon in 2008 and loved every minute of it. The owner MaryAnn answered all our questions beforehand (even those that didn't really have anything to do with the villa) and was a pleasure to deal with. The villa itself is absolutely beautiful, stylish and well maintained. You couldn't really find a better location in Ibiza! It's a very calm part of the island yet distances everywhere are short. San Josep village with shops, cafes, banks etc is within a walking distance but I'd recommend renting a car for exploring the rest of the island. We come every year and there's always something new to discover!
The description provided is very accurate. All the bedrooms were of a good size and the beds were very comfy. The round master bedroom with views over the island and the sea is stunning!

On our last evening at the villa, MaryAnn popped by to say goodbye with a bottle of bubbly which was a lovely thoughtful gesture. This was possibly our best stay in Ibiza and we're already looking forward to returning to the Halcyon in 2009.
