Family Vacation 2009

Jon M Little Rock, AR USA
Review Submitted: August 19, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
Welcome to beach paradise! Our family and friends spent almost 5 weeks at Richard's Villa Tabuba. Located just steps from one of the most naturally beautiful and secluded beaches we have seen, this getaway is perfect for ANYONE! Richard spares no details at making your stay enjoyable, from transportation to/from the airport, coordinating day trips to Fortaleza, introducing you to the best eateries, helping you shop, arranging local fisherman to bring you fresh Lagostas & Camaroes and even personally cutting fresh coconuts from the palm trees in the yard!

If you like to relax, swim in the ocean, bask in the sun, stroll on the beach, eat fantastic seafood, ride horses on the beach, watch or even kite sail this is the place to go!!! Great for families!!! Everyday we had sunny skies and no hotter than 85F (29C) with cool evenings and some of the best star gazing on the planet from Richard's private rooftop. Mix up some Caipirinhas and watch shooting stars from hammocks up top, or from the beach while listening to a roaring surf. Can it get any better than this??

Enjoy all of the local beachfront Barracas, each having their own unique spin on tasty seafood treats and be waited on while the surf rolls up to your feet. Cumbuco is just a few short minutes drive from Villa Tabuba, where you can enjoy massages on the beach, take up kite surfing, enjoy fantastic dune buggy trips on the Dunes of Cumbuco, or enjoy the local hotel fresh water pools and restaurants. The smoked Lagosta at Hotel Golfinho is a must! While staying at the Villa Tabuba, spoil yourself and have Clarissa and Luis clean the house, do the dishes, wash the clothes and keep the pool and yard spotless.

Richard - Thank you for making this trip truly FANTASTICO! Adeus para agora meu amigo!

Vacation Destination #1

Frederick Rector Little Rock, Arkansas, USA
Review Submitted: August 13, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
The only place to start is the host Richard. Finally is perfect weather, great beaches, awesome food, and gracious people what you are looking for in a vacation? Then Villa Tabuba is the place to vacation. We were lucky enough to be invited as guests and what a spectacular vacation. Thanks Jon & Sandra!
The vacation started with Richard who owns the wonderful home picking us up at the airport. He navigated us to Tabuba and gave us a great start to understanding the culture and our surroundings. He was there to help when the VISA network went down world wide, took us to shop in Forteleza. His only worry was that we all had a great holiday. He takes the worry out of visiting a country for the first time because he really cares about his guests. He created an atmosphere that we were there to relax and he would worry about everything else, and he did! There were four kids under the age of ten and he made sure everywhere we went and did was something the children would enjoy also. He is also great at finding places to visit and eat. Bottom line, Richard is exactly what you want in a host when you are not at your own home. Fred, Grace, Madeleine and George have a real and sincere thank you out to Richard.
Now for the house, it had a nice layout and the floor plan is open with more than enough outdoor seating with hammocks within arms reach, even on the roof! Might I add the views from the roof at night are spectacular and unobstructed. If you like star gazing, he has the set up.
The weather is perfect, 85F during the day and 75F at night every day. The beaches are wide, clean, and a refreshing 80F sea temp. There is always surf and the wind switches off the ocean like clockwork at 11:30PM.
The restaurants and food are all casual and welcoming. Chef Rulio's is the place for pizza and very kid friendly. There are a bunch of really good restaurants around Cabuko which is right down the road. The grilled lobster is must have before you leave. If you want to stay in and cook, the house has a built in BBQ that cooks great steaks!
If you want to go to a great place for vacation and have a host that cares, a wonderful house, consistent and great beach weather; then, a trip to Villa Tabuba is the place to go.
I cannot stress enough that Richard makes going to a new place in the world, enjoyable, relaxing, and a place you most want to go back to again and we will!

Hello,

I stayed at this wonderful oasis for a week and i am very sad that i have already left. With the combination of this beautiful house and the beach right outside the front door, i can only say that this was the best vacation of my life. Richard the owner, is the nicest most hospitable person you will every find on a vacation. If you would like to travel around the area but dont know where you are going then Richard is at your side. He took me to fortaleza which is the closest city and introduced me to the nightlife and the culture yet all i asked him to do was drive me there. He is an amazing person and i will be going back to this mecca every year for the rest of my life. Thank you Richard and thankyou Brazil.

A week in paradise

We had a week at Villa Tabuba in December 2008. There was nothing about the villa or the location that we didn't like. The Villa itself was perfect for our family and Ricardo was very kind, and a great host. We loved the area, particularly the beaches and the various bars and restaurants, and we all felt that our week at the Villa was truly magical. We hope to be back to vist the villa and explore the area again in the not too distant future. I would definitely recomend this property and the location to anyone who wants a relaxing and laid back holiday destination.

So wonderful!!!

Review Submitted: March 13, 2008 Date of Stay: January 2008
This villa is situated in one of the most beautiful places on this earth. Every single beauty that can be imagined is sitting here on Villa Tabubas doorstep!! The villa itself is unique, spacious and beautifully designed and decorated. It is a true relaxing and joyous experience to stay there! The biggest cherry on top was the host Richard. He gave us a holiday of a lifetime! Richards’s knowledge, friendliness and kind consideration made us feel like the most welcome people in Brazil! There is no better a holiday and experience as Villa Tabuba and Richard (even including the Maldives and Mauritius!). We will be back!! Thank you Richard :) See you soon!

Encantador

Unbedingt empfehlenswert.
