Very comfortable, homey apartment. We were there for a week in the summer and were very happy. Central to everything, you could have a good holiday here without requiring a car at all, but the garage is there if you need it. There was plenty of space for us & our three kids. Views from the balcony were just like the picture - wonderful view with dinner! Loved the DVD collection, but didn't have time to watch much as we were out and about enjoying the marvellous summer weather. Would happily stay again. Thanks very much.

Summer Camp in Chamonix

Review Submitted: August 30, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
A great location close to shops, restaurants and Sports centre, which was a definite bonus with 7 yr old granddaughter in tow as she was able to either ride her bike or use her heelies to get to and from the ice rink for the twice daily training sessions!
The appartment was very comfortable and qute spacious for the 5 of us.
The kitchen area is small but functional and the appartment is well equiped. The Sky (sports) and the Internet kept two (semi) adult sons happy when they weren't out training. While the spectacular views from the terrace, sitting room and main bedroom kept my husband happy when he joined us towards the end of the week.
We had a great week and wouldn't hesitate to reccomend this appartemenr to anyone.

Chamonix in July

We have just returned from our time in this apartment. The location was central - close to the train station but far enough away to avoid noise. Shops and restaurants were easily reached within a 5 minute walk. Two restaurants, one Indian, and one regional, were right next door and across the street.

The beds were extremely comfortable, the kitchen was small, but very functional. The views from the patio were 360 degrees and were amazing with Mont Blanc visible. We never knew if others were in the building because it was so quiet.

Finally, Mr. Smith, the owner, was easy to deal with and timely with information. All his instructions were clear and easy to follow. We are contemplating a return visit.

another splendid week in Chamonix

This was my fifth or sixth trip out to this appartment in Chamonix and still the only fault I can find with this flat is having to leave it at the end of the week! It's such a homely atmosphere, and so well situated in the centre of town, that it's almost as if you're not on holiday at all... apart from the idyllic surroundings of course!

I visited, on this occasion, with four friends (one couple, two singles) and the five of us were easily accommodated between the main and bunk bedrooms without getting under each other's feet. It was their first visit, and I'm very confident they'll be returning again!

We weren't as lucky with the weather as I had hoped, but there was still plenty of exploring to be done and I had a very liberating time on my off-piste excursions, but unfortunately was not able to tackle La Vallee Blanche on this occasion... another reason (as if I needed one) to go back out at Easter!

Those of the group who'd not skiied or boarded before sorted out lessons with ESF in the main square which they thoroughly enjoyed. After just a week they were joining us up at Flegere, Brevent and Grands Montets, and were thoroughly enjoying being up in the mountain. Their instructors even picked them up from the flat which was a real bonus.

We ate in most nights, which, quite apart from being a little easier on the wallet, is such a pleasurable experience in this flat. It really lends itself to a convivial atmosphere and we shared many a joke around the dinner table until late at night.

If you've not visited this property before, it's well worth a look as I don't believe you'll find a better situated or more welcoming apartment in the whole of Chamonix. The balcony, of course, is a huge added benefit in the late Spring and Summer months when the days are longer and the air a bit warmer!

Snowboard and lodge

Review Submitted: March 13, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
Stayed here at the beginning of March 2009 for a quick few days of snowboarding and it's in a fantastic location with all amenities to hand. Apartment is very well equipped and we found it very spacious but there were only 3 of us on the trip. Underground car park was a blessing as parking in Chamonix is a problem. Chamonix itself is a lovely town with loads of good restaurants to choose from with the apartment being less than 5 minutes walk to most of them. It's also only about 15 mins walk to the nearest cable car - Le Brevent. One thing I have to note is the communication with the owner. He could not have been more helpful and gave us loads of tips for a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Once again, many thanks John!!

Quite simply a wonderful stay!

Myself and my wife along with our two boys, 8 and 4, stayed for 10 days in August. The apartment had everthing we wanted and was ideal for our type of holiday, being central to Chamonix. The location was busy during the daytime but quiet in the evening as on the top floor. It was handy for all amenities. Inside it was spacious, clean and well equipped without being overly fussy and houseproud. After all, we are walkers with boots etc!!!
However, the property is outstanding for the wonderful balcony with 360' views of the Chamonix valley We sat outside for most meals and often well into the evening watching the sun set. Absolutely wonderful!
Needless to say, we've booked for 2 weeks in summer 2009 and we can't wait!
Finally, it's close to the Railway Station if not arriving by car.

Summer Holiday 2008

Review Submitted: August 29, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
From the channel tunnel in calais to the apartment was a breeze. It was all very straightforward and we were settled in no time. Restaurants on the doorstep, supermarket across the road, fantastic terrace with stunning views - it was just what we wanted. The apartment had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We stayed in Chamonix for a week but could have quite happily stayed for a couple more as there was so much to do.

Perfect appartment

Snow Seekers Oxfordshire
Review Submitted: June 13, 2008 Date of Stay: March 2008
We loved this appartment. It's really home from home. Its spacious, incredibly well equipped, very comfortable and warm with masses of hot water. The views from the appartment are sensational. Chamonix is a great place for family skiing.
The location of this appartment is fantastic as it is SO central. It's right by the train station, the coolest shops, bars and restaurants and the bus goes right outside the doors to the lifts. For a family of four with two children aged 8 and 6 it was perfect. The appartment is particularly child-friendly as it has Sky and a huge roof terrace (almost the same size as the appartment) which is totally enclosed for the kids to play on. We always had lunch on the roof terrace as the views of Mt Blanc are stunning.
We cooked at home all the time and the kitchen is well equipped and has everything you'd need - microwave etc.
It was perfect for the grandparents too who came to help(!) and its a great location for those who don't ski as they are right in the centre of town and can wander around and have a chocolat chaud..
The beds are comfortable (we are all very fussy) and the linen seemed new and when we arrived the flat was spotless. We drove down from the UK and it was incredibly useful to have the car parking space as parking in Chamonix is limited.
The owner of the flat has arranged a discount with the ski shop over the road which was a great bonus!
We loved this flat and will definitely be coming back.
